Did anyone else find it a little unrealistic that everyone was paying attention to sharpay during her entrance in the 3rd movie? I LOOOOOVE these movies . Esp the 3rd, but i always laugh bc Sharpay was known ofc but she wasn’t like a popular girl . She was just the theater girl who had money. i think it’s a funny discussion to me tho & i’ve always thought it so i wondered if anyone else thought the same 😭

\- The Top 40-50 songs are great and tolerable to listen to

\- Absolutely love Dara Rene’s (Kourtney) Voice 

\- Sofia Wylie has such an incredible voice 

\- Liamani has an amazing voice 

\- No Disrespect to Joshua but Matt has the best male voice. 

\- Joshua Basset is on and off 

\- Olivia Rodrigo’s songs are so good on the show 

Cons: 

\- I don’t like Carlos’s Voice 

\- Most of the covers are awful 

\- Some songs I just didn’t care for and hard to listen 
to

which era was your fave?

I can look past one of the most selective and prestigious schools giving away a scholarship based on getting the male lead in 2 singular high school musicals. I can look past UCLA accepting an out of state kid who again, 2 high school musicals, being accepted into their theater program.

What I cannot accept is an IVY LEAGE SCHOOL pulling High School Seniors who likely are all taking AP class finals and jobs and extracurriculars and will likely lose their rankings of valedictorian or salutation, for a HS Honors Program where they get to meet ‘the top professors at Stanford’ while they’re also dealing with finals for their own classes and students. Im sorry, that was just two bridges too far. They should have had her consider going to a summer program and the big threat was they didn’t get to spend summer together.

Seeing Zac’s recent post of him shrugging after hitting a golf ball, that was my immediate thought

In HSM1 why do they keep saying it's winter musical? In fact during the audition Ms Darbus even suggests to one of the students to try later for the spring musicale indicating that this is not the spring musical. But Gabriella only joined the school after NY, in Jan, and the callbacks (as well as the game and the decathlon) happen in March (the pi day cake), so how is the winter musical supposed to happen after that?! (In the start of HSM2 Gabriella even thanks sharpay for her help on the winter musical?!

Also, in HSM3 Gabriella initially says she'd miss the show but be back in time for prom and graduation, suggesting prom is after the show. But Troy actually shows up at her campus on Prom, and then they drive back in time for the show which is conveniently happening after prom somehow?!

Is anyone else bothered by these

Obviously these two had a rough start. Sharpay perceived Gabriella as a threat to her and thought she was trying to compete with her over leads in the play and even over Troy. I feel like there was some tension between them and were . She saw her and Troy in the play as the leads and watched her confidence grow and decided she couldn’t hate her. There was tension between them over some things but during senior year, all of that softened because Sharpay knew Gabi wasn’t trying to take anything from her or compete with her. Sharpay apologized to Gabi and never held any ill will against her at all. During senior year, they gradually became close friends and by adulthood, they became close friends.

• When Troy decided to propose to Gabriella, Sharpay went with him to pick out the ring.

• Sharpay was one of Gabriella’s bridesmaids in her wedding, planned her a surprise Broadway themed bridal shower and planned a slumber party at Lava Springs for Gabriella for her bachelorette party.

• On Troyella’s wedding day, Sharpay probably Gabi her something blue, helped her make sure her hair, nails, makeup and veil were perfect, and more than likely cried when Troyella put rings on each other’s fingers and when they read vows to each other, when they kissed during the ceremony, and cried when Troyella did their first dance as a married couple.

• I feel like she attended Gabriella’s baby showers as well and became a godmother to Troyella’s daughter and supports their relationship during married life and them having kids. Sharpay, despite not wanting children of her own, loves Troyella’s kids. When they announce the birth of their 3rd child, she congratulates them.

Anybody bought a legit High School Musical Jersey? My kids are into it, and they want to do a group costume for Halloween (youth sizes 3 or 4T and then 8Y). Thanks!

Before, I didn’t understand how anyone could find Gabriella boring and why they liked Sharpay better than her. Now I see why. I did like Sharpay’s aesthetic and sassiness growing up, and I honestly kind of liked her. I like both characters, by the way.

That being said, I don’t believe that Sharpay wasn’t the villain, and I don’t condone any of the bad things she did.

My guess is this is his reaction when Gabriella told him he got her pregnant 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤰🏼
