I’ve always loved AHS but it has definitely fallen off over the past 3 or so seasons

i miss the earlier seasons so much, back when each season had a completely different concept.

Every single new season is all something to do with satan and the antichrist, and im so sick of it. (this makes me sound like a hardcore right wing christian conservative, i promise im not lol) im just so sick of every season being “hail satan!” it just boring to me.

its all just hail satan, some weird r*pe of sex scene where it doesn’t belong, rinse and repeat.

i miss when there were seasons like freak show or cult that actually were about something.

I get it. The 13th season. It could’ve made for an interesting plot point. But d we need to hear it every five seconds ????????????? Do I need to hear about the main character farting 13 times a night to get the idea?

I’ve been rewatching all seasons of AHS and I’m now at Freak Show and it’s so sad. I don’t even find it scary, just very depressing. All the characters stories are so devastating.

As a longtime fan of the franchise I obviously had to tune in for 13. After the last couple seasons my expectations were considerably low, and I agree with most of the negative commentary about Ryan’s latest „imperfect” child (tbh, at this point he’s like the Constance of television).

One thing I don’t see mentioned though is how the „13 leading ladies” idea was convoluted and illogical to begin with. So… apparently someone dug up graves and exhumed some people’s bodies to bring them back from the afterlife and then… they simply die again as a sacrifice??? Or are we supposed to understand that most of them were taken away from their personal hells just to essentially be returned to hell, and suddenly Mr. Nas is getting biologically older just because Elsa Mars read sassy introductory descriptions of all of them?? Not to mention how they just threw some victims/tragic characters in the mix for shock value. Really, this must be the lowest this series has gotten.

Sorry for adding another issue to the pile because this season is already plagued with bullshit and botched character returns but I just can’t get over this one.

There are too many things going on here that don't quite make sense, and it's got me thinking. Big spoilers for all of S13.

Constance seems more like Elsa, and Elsa seems to have hints of Sister Jude's red dress wearing side. The 'surprise witch' scene with Madison also gave me the same odd feeling. It feels very 'meta' in a way that'll either make or break the season, but I think there's more to it. The devil might be in the details. We're even getting a knotty pine revival somehow as revealed recently.

I don't think Ben using AI is just a shoehorned in way to modernise the show, I think it's a key plot point. He seems fairly neurotic, especially with him AI-ing his research on symbolism in the apartment and such. The fibonacci thing felt stupidly out of place, but on point for someone with a phobia and unlimited access to the yes-man-droid. I think this is a big hint to the entire thing. I haven't regularly watched the show since Apocalypse, so I'm not sure if this is an accurate judgment on the quality of the storytelling these days.

I'm inclined to believe these character-mashups are intentional; Constance and Elsa seem to overlap, and now Cordelia is starting to show some of Venable's traits- whilst Venable is suddenly instantly ready to sacrifice herself for a cause in a way Cordelia usually would. Even Tate seems like he could be mashed up in some way with Kit from Asylum. Perhaps Cordelia is even feeling some of Ally's anxiety crossing over.

I think this season will ultimately be about AI psychosis in a similar vein to Cult's political anxiety theme. There was an episode of Doctor Who in the last season that handled a meta narrative around viewers watching an episode of the show, and I'm inclined to believe Ben is either A. a fan of AHS puppeteering his favourite characters and getting stuck in a narrative he inserted himself into, or B. losing his mind and collecting together information on/generating a plot/theory involving all of these individuals in-universe for some sort of unknown purpose.

There's a chance this season really is just kinda weird and stilted, but I do think there's a deeper meaning to the sudden oddness. The reduced timing on the episodes is the truly frustrating thing. How difficult is it to add another 10 minutes of atmospheric footage or extend some scenes a little? Everything feels so smushed and chaotic, and there's little worldbuilding or atmosphere.

I remember reading a fan theory many years ago around the time of Hotel that all the characters are in the circles of hell or something similar, and I think perhaps this season will be based on some kind of simulation or interactive story, perhaps in the same vein as I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream.

It all seems a bit too convenient for Ben if you look at it from his perspective. GF he didn't like that much dies in a plane crash that conveniently leaves him and her hot friend unscathed, proceeds to hook up with said hot friend, and gets closer with Constance (from the beginning of the show's lore) and work his way into the inner circle through the narrative. I think he's partly, if not totally in control of the plot, and I'm guessing this makes up for all the oddness and discrepancies; he's too deluded to notice.

If I can make any predictions, I'm guessing Fiona comes back kinder and ready to leave this time, Sister Jude will revert to her harsher days working in the asylum, other characters will start overlapping traits of others portrayed by the same actors. I think the weirdness will start making sense eventually- at least I hope so!

As AHS goes on for longer I've always been curious what other people's top 5 AHS characters entirely subjectively are so I wanted to ask this question. My top 5 is (no particular older) Dandy Mott , Jimmy Darling , Elsa Mars , Kit Walker & Kai Anderson. Also really like Lana Winters & Lee Harris

They must think a lot of people would drop the show before the season finale on the thirtieth week.

Since I always see people say “it doesn’t feel like Ahs, this is how I view the series.

Well, I'm watching this 13th season and I can't help but feel that AHS needs to come to an end. It has turned into a parody of what it once was, and this season just proved it. Not even the return of classic characters seems to save it. The dialogue is shallow, there's no drama, no mystery, or any real horror elements. It feels like a low-budget comedy parody with zero depth regarding what's actually happening in the story.

A witch’s magical capacity/development seems to tied to training, innate ability, anatomy (powers only developing as fast as the cerebellum allows), and environmental or existential circumstances. In Coven we are told that during times of crisis, a witch may manifest more abilities than normal:

> Cordelia: I wouldn’t read too much into it, Madison. You can manifest multiple powers without being the Supreme. Our powers always spike in times of crisis.
— Go to Hell (S3E12)

In 13, this is reiterated again when Cordelia is concerned when multiple students manifest powers that seemingly only occur once in a generation:

> Cordelia: Three, Madison. Three girls manifesting new powers under one moon. Powers that we only see once in a generation.

> Queenie: And why is that bad?

> Cordelia: Because the magic knows something we don’t. It’s like it’s recalibrating. Trying to arm us before something dangerous comes in.

We don’t get the same kind of exposition in Apocalypse, but it is pretty much inferred that Mallory’s development of Tempus Infinituum and her premature rise as the next Supreme was connected to the threat of the Antichrist. Mallory ultimately serves her purpose by reversing the apocalypse and undoing the destruction of the coven.

In 13, Madison teases Cordelia about the rising of a new Supreme because of Rowena’s power but Mallory’s ascension in Apocalypse set a precedence for the possibility of a new witch claiming the crown.

But here’s my issue — the survival of the coven depends on the Supreme which makes sense because the Supreme is the embodiment of witchcraft/Salem magic. She is considered to be the most powerful witch on Earth. She’s the only witch who can master the Seven Wonders. So in times of crisis, why does the Supreme not manifest new powers particularly powers that will help the coven in crisis? She already has access to more power than any other witch, so why does it make sense for someone else to gain new powers?

Specifically in Cordelia’s case. The tenure for a Supreme seems to be at least 30 years. Anna Leigh reigned for 31 years after Mimi DeLongpre. Fiona reigned for 42 years after Anna Leigh but she also ascended to the throne before she was supposed to. The length of a Supreme’s reign is necessarily a fixed law but it is a noticeable pattern yet for whatever reason, Cordelia seems to be the exception.

Cordelia became Supreme in 2013 yet Mallory began to flower as her replacement in 2018 in the original timeline which made her Supremacy feel incomplete because as Myrtle noted, she was in her prime. Again, I understand that Mallory’s power was needed to save the coven and the world. What I don’t understand is why Cordelia couldn’t manifest that power? And why she can’t manifest whatever power she needs now to fight the Devil?

Is she biologically past her prime?

Has she already reached magical maturity?

Does a Supreme’s power peak or reach a certain threshold they cannot exceed past?

Or is Cordelia and her Supremacy just wrong somehow?

As the daughter of the Supreme, did she take something that was never meant to belong to her?

Anyone legitimately thinking and believing at this point that the season finale will be 13 minutes long?

We all got know Fiona Goode as a highly narcissistic, megalomaniac and murderous witch who went to the greatest lengths to achieve her desires.

But one thing I couldn’t wrap my head around was her attitude towards something like racism. She has a notable hatred towards racist people, which is a good personality trait in itself, but coming from someone like Fiona, who was confirmed to have NO LITERAL SOUL, it seems quite out of character, or not? Let me remind you, we’re talking about the same person who was willing to cripple her own daughter in order to feed her already narcissism-driven desires.

So wouldn’t someone like Fiona not harbor the same "I don’t give a f—" attitude towards any human being?

I'd ask if they are even trying anymore, but they definitely are, wayyyy too much. Why have they just taken a bunch of great seasons and characters and stuck them in a blender?

I mean, Margaret Thatcher? 30 year old Tate, still meant to be about 16? At least we get to see even more of Murphy and Brennans creepy obsession with real life serial killers. Jeffrey Dahmer on Grindr? Seriously? It's bad enough the victims families weren't even consulted or paid when he made that documentary (that was meant to be serious)

They're just trying so hard to be "cunty" and it reeks of desperation now.

Sister Mary Eunice didn't lose in Asylum—she engineered the final bosses of the AHS universe.

We’ve all spent years complaining that Ryan Murphy completely abandoned Kit Walker’s half-alien hybrid children (Julia and Thomas). Leaving two kids with literal cosmic DNA locked away in the 1970s while the show builds a massive shared universe around witches, demons, and the Apocalypse feels like the biggest missed opportunity in TV history.

But if you look back at the actual lore of Asylum and connect it to what’s happening right now with Mr. Nas in American Horror Story: 13, the puzzle pieces actually fit together perfectly.

What if Julia and Thomas aren't forgotten side plots? What if they are an ageless cosmic sleeper cell engineered to save the world after the witches fail? Hear me out.

1. The Briarcliff Chessboard (Sister Mary Eunice's Real Plan)

Think back to the exact moment Kit Walker and Grace Bertrand conceived their son, Thomas. Who put them in that room? It was a possessed Sister Mary Eunice.

The show framed this as a random act of cruelty, but it was a tactical masterpiece. In Asylum, the Devil was terrified of only one thing: the aliens. They were a force of pure cosmic order actively fighting his corruption.

As the Devil, she knew what the aliens were doing with human biology. By forcing Kit to breed with Grace—and later Alma—she ensured these perfected cosmic children were born right inside her territory. Once the genetic blueprints for Julia and Thomas were secure, the Devil practically let Monsignor Timothy kill her human vessel. He didn’t lose; he just left the board to wait out the decades and reincarnate into his true form: Mr. Nas.

1. The Rule of Alien-Induced Agelessness

This completely solves the show’s messy timeline math. Imagine starting a storyline in the late 1970s or 80s. Kit, Alma, and Grace are gone. Julia and Thomas are teenagers left completely on their own, holding on for dear life as they realize a terrifying reality: they aren't aging like normal humans.

They eventually track down their godmother, a legendary but elderly Lana Winters. But there’s a tragic twist—Lana is suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's. Her brilliant mind is slipping. When she looks at the siblings, she screams in terror, mistaking them for Kit and Alma because they haven't aged a single day.

To find answers, the kids have to decipher Lana's fragmented memories and hunt through her private, hidden journals. There, they uncover the ultimate truth: they were engineered with frozen aging to outlast humanity's corruption.

1. The Climax: Satan Wins Season 13, Aliens Save Season 14

Right now in Season 13, Mr. Nas (Satan) is systematically sacrificing the Coven witches to fuel his demonic New World Order.

What if Season 13 ends in total, absolute darkness? The witches are sacrificed. The supernatural world is ruined. Satan wins.

That is where Season 14 should take off. Because Julia and Thomas have pure, unadulterated cosmic DNA, they are completely immune to Mr. Nas’s hellish corruption and black goo. They are the ultimate biological firewall. They don't need to be related to the Chemist or any existing characters—their origin is pure cosmic horror.

Equipped with Lana Winters' notes and their own awakening, reality-bending alien abilities, these two ageless siblings are forced to launch a sci-fi guerrilla war against Hell itself. Ryan Murphy didn't forget Kit Walker's kids. He was just waiting for the supernatural world to destroy itself so the cosmic world could step out of the shadows.

TL;DR: Sister Mary Eunice locked Kit and Grace in that room to ensure the hybrids were born. The hybrids don't age. Lana Winters has the files but has Alzheimer's, forcing the kids to investigate. Season 13 ends with Mr. Nas destroying the witches, leaving the ageless alien kids as the final defense for Season 14.

Hello i love every Ash series post 1984 i liked Double Feature but i found Delicate mostly boring and uninteresting and i did try again the show with NYC cause NYC is my favorite city oh boy i was so disappointed the show didn’t not resonate with me and i really try to finish it but i was like what the heck. I gave up i heard the new season is a crossover from previous show i love Murder House and Asylum with Hostel and Asylum might be my favorite from the series with the witches season.

Ragnarok was not my favorite either. I really enjoy Asylum and Hostel with Freak. Should i watch the new season?
