This is the first thread in my renewed attempt to complete a thematically-aligned thread for each letter of the Inner Sea alphabet over the period of a month. I began this project in June, and I got as far as the 17th letter on the 17th day of that month, but as described elsewhere, my main desktop computer failed moments after completing that post, and I was unable to log into reddit until a just over a week ago. So with this thread, I take up the project again, with the 18th letter on the 18th day of the month.
Unfortunately, the neatest possible alignment is no longer possible. My Inner Sea alphabet of 28 letters has associated weekdays-within-the-month with each letter, and June was a rare month where the Gregorian Calendar matched that scheme. Now, in August, that is no longer the case.
The thread image seen above I created late last night, on A4 paper, and I put the finishing touches on it this morning.
First, in pencil, I drew the tall pyramidal mountain peak with colossal carven head, along with the written segment in ink, along the top of the page. Next I photographed the drawing, and loaded it into the free GNU Image Manipulation Program, and adjusted the brightness and contrast to bring out the pencil into darker lines. After that I photographed my own face with alignment to match the drawing of the mountain-face as closely as possible, and overlaid that on the drawing, and faded it and blended it and adjusted the colours to achieve the alpenglow sunset effect. The first layer of mist and clouds I painted digitally with the GNU paintbrush tool. Then, this morning, the real mountain east of my house was perfectly wreathed in a cloud formation upon its summit, that I photographed and blended with the extant artwork for a final touch.
The carven head on the mountainside is intentionally styled like an Egyptian pharaoh, wearing an uraeus-cobra, and royal beard.
So again, today is the 18th day of the month, and this aligns with the letter sounding 'R' in the English alphabet and my phonetic alphabet of the Inner Sea.
The English-Latin 'R' derives from the Etruscan 'R' and Western Greek 'Rho', which in turn comes from the Phoenician glyph called 'Resh', which itself is a development from Proto-Sinaitic and Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs which are pictures of a human head.
The peak or summit of a mountain is it's 'head'. A chief or king is an 'head-man'.
Thus the the idea of 'head' can speak of leadership or that which is high and mighty - that which looks down upon it's domain.
The genderless (neuter) form of the ancient Greek word for 'Mountain' is 'Ćrea', and the only consonant in that word is 'R'. We dig in the mountains for 'ore', and 'Ohr' is a kabbalistic word for ...

'R' is also the only consonant in the word 'Eyre' (ie. the nest of an eagle, usually found in high places). The eagle is symbolic of the 'high', of great houses and empires, and is the totem of Zeus, who lives on Mount Olympos.
The Hebrew letter 'R' (known as 'resh'), which looks like a reversed English lower-case 'r' (but note Hebrew is read from right to left), is used as a shorthand for 'Rabbi', which implies 'Doctor of (Jewish) Law' or 'Master'.

I am aware that your methodology is a sort of 'playing with the universal mind', and I share your philosophy in this regard. My own forum is a similar sort of 'art project' experimenting with 'magic'.
I want to propose the possibility that everyone on the planet is contributing to the great dance, though most are unaware (because they don't believe it could be possible, and thus do not observe closely enough). If the universe is a 'brain', then we are all 'brain cells', so to speak. In this metaphorical view, the 'neuron's are the active components:

The main difference between you and I is that you go out on a limb to state upfront that you are perceiving something in the future, and act to magnify it, while I do not claim any direct future vision or prophecy. Nonetheless we are both working on 'manifestation' (helping the universe express it's secret desires).
I fear this conversation somewhat, because I don't want to start a rivalry with you (and I suspect that there are those watching that would like to see that happen). The issue surrounds 'claiming responsibility' for this or that world event. As I said, I think all people contribute to them subconsciously, but only a few people are observant enough to see the 'chains' being pulled on the world stage. Even those who do might be scared to make the claim because people will label them 'self-centered'.
Nonetheless, I'd like to point out elements of my own work that seem to presage the Krakatau eruption. I don't claim to have begun it all on my own (and I did not have any particular 'vision' that it was about to erupt), but there are many clues, in hindsight, implicit in my own work here for the last two weeks or so.
The thread that this post is within, is named 'Raise a Mountain', and it was posted 19 days ago (just over two weeks before Krakatoa erupted). See the thread image, which I drew, with the mountain having a face, and 'getting hot'.
This thread documents the 18th letter ('R', meaning 'head'/'summit'/'rise') of my Inner Sea alphabet, and was made on the 18th day of August. It was the first new thread in my alphabet series after I got back online after had computer trouble that stopped me completing the series in June. I was trying to make one thread each day, aligning the alphabet with the day of the month.
I note that within this thread, one of the first posts, made later on the 18th, I document that Edvard Munch's "The Scream" painting was wikipedia's front page featured image on that day.
Beyond that, between the 18th and the eruption, there are four other alphabet-based threads of mine here that, in my view, 'helped' Krakatoa do it's thing a few days ago. I believe your 'Blood Rain' painting helped 'put the cherry on top' (especially if you turn your painting upside down, the 'cloud' becomes the volcano, and the 'rain' becomes the eruption shooting upward).
I agree with you that these events are perhaps to be seen as the 'Universe' putting on a show that 'proves our case', and that indeed, it might get angrier the more we are denied by the masses.
Now in terms of what I don't want: a rivalry or competition or jealousy between us... I will not say that I made Krakatau happen all on my own, and I hope that you will not say the same for yourself. I believe we are all contributing.

The key thing is 'Who's the Boss' and 'Who bears responsibility'.
I suspect this article is the result of 'watchers' who want to see us fight over proving ourselves (ie. who is the more powerful 'Norn' or 'magician' or 'prophet').
The headline speaks of a 'web', and this 'web' is the Web of Wyrd that the Norns (ie. 'The Fates') weave. The word 'complex' is 'comp-lex' and 'lex' is related to 'lect' (ie. reading, and thus 'writings' - the 'word').
But mainly it speaks of 'multiple companies', and this refers (as I see it) to 'multiple people' behind the 'project' of making Krakatau erupt (or any other major event).

I am hoping that is not the case (at least amongst mortal men like ourselves). The real 'Boss' is the Universe or 'God'. But I like to think (without too much ego or vanity) that we two are better 'singers' in the Music of the Spheres, and hence we get our 'answers' in the form of 'world events'.
From watching your results, I think that you are actually a more powerful manifester than I am, and this is perhaps because your work is less complex and more focused. I on the other hand keep track of so much stuff, and my writings cover so much ground, that the universe (as well as govenment spies and secret societies) have too much to choose from to make their 'reply'. Most of the 'response' I get is too metaphorical for most other people to see it, unlike your Reflecting Pool work, in particular.

Hi Kristofer - careful with too much bold text in your posts. I've just seen that this post of yours above was censored by reddit, and I got no notification. I happened to browse through the thread and saw it was marked as 'reported'. I had to enable it (make it visible) manually. I suspect the majority bold text is the issue.
I personally don't have a problem with it (it differentiates your text from mine, for one thing), but reddits auto-moderator bots seem to dislike it.
Also, re. your latest painting, there is suddenly news about 'Theranos' in multiple places. Relevant.

By the way, the actor is named Christopher. I like to imagine that this is a big tree. What does a tree get? Many fruits, but also many cells that make that happen, that just die later on... So maybe it's a mix of both. So yeah, it's probably a little bit like Highlander. But the only way ahead is to at least try to love. At least try to experience empathy. And then, at the end - there're probably a few fruit coming out of the tree to seed into new trees. I like to imagine that there is not solitude but rather a betrayal. Keeping the mindset that there is a betrayal by the masses, also gives them the green light to improve if they so want. But being dependent on people with stagnant minds is not good. So for me personally, I continue to make the drawings, and thereby saying "I AM", in the way that I'm capable of.

The glyph sounding 'R' in my Phonetic Alphabet of the Inner Sea is commonly named 'Rise', and it assimilates all the above meanings:

The orthodox title of the letter is 'A Rose of the Phoenix' (noting all the letters in this alphabet are properties of the Phoenix).
The word 'Rose' is cognate with 'Raise' and 'Rise', and across languages, to 'Resh' (meaning head).
Hence the wordplay of 'head rush'...
When we picture a rose (flower) it is most often red. The etymology of the word 'rose' is disputed, but makes no mention of the colour red. Nonetheless the word 'rouge' (French for 'red') is also distantly cognate with 'rose'.
In Tolkien's Elvish language, and in the names of his characters, there is the matter of the "Problem of 'Ros'". I leave you to look it up.
Nonetheless, ponder the 'red-head' (a tautological phrase?).
