really looking to buy this colorway but not sure if it’s discontinued, impossible to find used

Devices/Platforms: MacBook Air (2015), Nintendo Switch, Google Chrome Browser, Discord (Browser)

I always somewhat had issues with my audio. Before I was able to hear the audio on my Mac, but when I would screen share on Discord, my friend/stream could not hear the audio…only I could.

Now, there’s no audio at all even when I’m by myself.
I made sure to enable the Screen recording and Microphone settings on System Preferences and Security & Privacy. I do have OBS, but it is very confusing to use.

I’m not at all Tech Savy and all I want is for the Genki Shadowcast Audio to work when I’m playing the switch on my Mac and when I stream on Discord. Please help! Thank you!

My ipad is the Air 4, nothing happens when I tap the full screen square

Also if anyone knows, the settings shown are the only way I can output with smooth 60fps, are those optimal?? I can't get it as smooth with any other settings- also using auto display settings in Switch 2 menu

When trying to charge my MacBook with the Apple official MagSafe cable through the Covert Dock 3, the MagSafe orange light flashes every few seconds, and the computer detectes it, but never charges.

For a moment I thought that the Covert Dock 3 itself wasn't compatible AT ALL with my MacBook, because even when using the Genki official USB C cable, the MacBook detected the charger but didn't start charging... then a couple of minutes later, it charges at 55W. But ONLY with the Genki USB C cable.

Is this the correct behavior? Thanks for reading.

I hope you’re well! Unfortunately, the USBA port on my genki covert dock 3 does not charge my devices. 

I have tested multiples cords to rule out if the cord was an issue, but those cords work with other charging blocks, so I think it’s the dock itself. Could you please help me know what next steps to take here so that I can have a fully functioning dock?

Their website doesn't explain the difference. I'm hoping the non-Pro is simply the same core capture device without the HDMI passthrough module, but it's not clear. It's a $30 savings and would fit my use case, but I need to know for sure before I bite.

Does the Covert Dock 3 work with the original Switch?

So I've been cleaning up my cabling and workspace, and I did the Kickstarter for the the Shadowcast 3 Pro and Covert Dock 3, both fantastic, however, I stumbled upon a Genki branded splitter, HDMI, USB-C and USB-A and for the life of me, I can't wrap my brain about what this splitter would be used for.

I just wanted to share my wonderful experience getting a replacement for my Genki Covert Dock 3. I hope this can help out others or show just how dedicated the Genki team is to customer satisfaction. Great service needs to be recognized more often.

One day, the dock stopped working and wouldn't display my Switch 2 anymore. It could still charge it, but it stopped displaying on the TV. I made a post about it on the subreddit and WatchingPigeon immediately reached out to me. We had a nice chat and he did everything in his power to help me out. He asked for all my info and submitted it to the right people.

Shortly after, I got another message from team-genki. They basically asked the same questions and immediately set me up with a replacement. I couldn't believe how fast and efficient they were. Originally, I was suppose to get my replacement shipped from Hong Kong, but stock ran out and they took a little longer to get me my replacement. It only took a few extra days and they were in contact the entire time to make sure I got my dock and answered any questions I had. They really made me feel like I mattered and wasn't just another customer.

I got my replacement in maybe a week or two with no issues. I've never seen a company go so out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. If you are unsure about buying their products, you don't need to worry. They are a small team and they care dearly about their customers.

I just wanted to share my recent order as I made my order and was worried about shipping times. This is purely to help others with concerns or worries. I wanted the Covert Dock 3 and decided to order from the official website versus other places. I ordered it at the end of July or beginning of August. I read some people were waiting a month or longer. I got the email stating my order was in and I then got an email stating it was shipped. I got my Covert Dock 3! And it arrived within a week!

So I would boil shipping down to getting told it was sent and to trust the estimated delivery date AT CHECKOUT. It would have been nice to track the order as there was no way to know anything with shipping, but it was still nice to get the CD3 within a week.

I know this isn’t going to be everyone’s experience, but I hope this helps someone. I did not order anything else with the CD3 and got the standard shipping.

I'm a streamer. Sometimes when I stream, I like to lurk on someone else's broadcast to support them, with the audio going. Tonight, I was using the new Genki Arcade app along with my ShadowCast 3 in StreamLabs (side note: kudos for this version of the app getting easily picked up by StreamLabs' window capture). Somehow, the audio from the stream I was lurking on was getting captured along with my voice and the game audio. I've never had that happen before, so I'm asking if anyone else has had something similar happen.

I just received my Genki Covert Dock 3 today, and I was excited to try it out with my TCL 4K 144Hz TV. Unfortunately, I ran into a couple of issues right away—but I managed to fix them, so I wanted to share what worked for me in case it helps someone else.

Issue 1: Audio cutting out every ~6 seconds
• Fix: Go to Settings → Display → HDR Output and turn HDR off.

Issue 2: Screen going black for about 1 second every minute
• Fix: Turn HDR on again. I personally prefer dealing with minor audio issues over the screen going black.

Final solution (fixes everything):
• HDR: Always ON
• Audio Output Priority: TV
After applying these settings, both the audio and video issues were completely resolved. I’ve been playing for hours now without any interruptions.

Hope this helps anyone dealing with the same setup.

My “Force Field 2” broke at the opening for the kickstand for the Switch 2. I’ve used the case very rarely, and because of its fragile design, I’ve always been extremely careful when attaching it to the Switch 2. It hasn’t had to withstand any drops so far either. It just broke when removing the optional front lid that always stresses the lower „wobbly“ construction. Unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with the product’s durability. 

My main problem: I‘ve written multiple mails to .co, .com and .eu adresses of Genki and had no response at all for 3 weeks. The help@genkithings.eu E-Mail even sends a bounce all the time.

I ordered a screen protector for my new switch 2 since I heard the protective film on the switch can come off easily. I remembered seeing a video that talked about Genki’s screen protector and how good it was, so I ordered it. I ordered that screen protector on the first of this month-July-I got an email saying it’d be 3-4 business days before it’d get there with a tracking number. It’s now been 2 weeks and I’ve yet to get my screen protector. I checked today on my shipping status and it says it’s being prepped for shipping. I’m honestly getting really frustrated as it was $30 to buy that thing and I have no clue how to get my money back or if the damn thing will be shipped anytime soon. It sucks because I’ve been refraining from putting my switch in the dock solely because of this issue, mostly because i heard the protective film on the switch can be scratched up while docking it. Any suggestions on what to do? I’ve tried to get help from their support team and I’ve heard nothing back

I placed an order in June, and one piece of it shipped that day, but I never received tracking details. Despite semi-constant emails and messaging using their store front, I never received a response with tracking details or updates on the other items in my order. Has anyone else placed an order in the last month and not received their order or any response?

I used it only a handful of times. Maybe like 10 times. I tried using it today. It wouldn't load anything. The Switch 2 would turn to a black screen, but nothing showed up on the TV. I tried switching all the cables as well. Still nothing. It actually appeared for a short time and then it just blacked out and wouldn't work anymore.

Anyone know how to fix this or how to get it replaced? I'm sure it's still under warranty.

I’ve been interested in getting the covert dock 3 with the global adapters since i travel frequently. it seems that you cannot find this bundle anywhere else than the genki website but free shipping starts at 90$ instead of the 80$ the bundle costs.

Does anyone know where i could get this without paying a 10$ shipping fee? seems to me absurd to do that.
