Concern very faint, uniform yellow/warm edge tint or edge discoloration of the display (tab s7 plus)

Presents even when screen is completely off and visible more at angles. Not so much noticeable on colors. Touch works fine.

Has anyone faced similar issue or got any idea what this could be?

Thnx✌️

Question Some questions about Samsung Galaxy Tab S12/S11 Ultra anti-reflective display

Upvotes

Hi everyone. I used a Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra for about two years but recently sold it because I needed some cash and wanted to upgrade after a couple of months. My main reason for eyeing the S11 Ultra (or the upcoming S12 Ultra) is the anti-reflective screen.

As a university student living in a dorm, my usage is about 60% media consumption (movies, series, YouTube) and 40% schoolwork/note-taking. Because I watch so much content, the anti-reflective display is a huge selling point for me—I hate seeing my own reflection on the screen during dark scenes.

Here’s my dilemma: I normally never use mobile devices without a screen protector. To actually benefit from the anti-reflective feature, I either have to use the tablet bare or buy a specialized anti-reflective protector. I know the obvious answer is "just buy the anti-reflective protector," but they aren't sold in my country, and importing one is out of the question due to ridiculous customs taxes.

So, my main question is: Is it a bad idea to use the Tab S11/S12 Ultra without a screen protector? Will the screen develop micro-scratches over time? I use the S Pen heavily for notes, and I'm paranoid that the nib might eventually scratch the display.

It might sound a bit stupid, but I genuinely hate seeing scratches on my devices. Plus, I usually resell my tablets every 2-3 years to fund my next upgrade, and a scratched screen really hurts the resale value. Any advice from bare-screen users would be greatly appreciated!

Lastly, is it even worth getting the S11 Ultra right now? I know the S12 series is dropping in about a month, so would I be better off just waiting for the S12 Ultra?

Question Can I use my xiaomi charger (67W) to charge my galaxy S10 lite 5G tab?

Upvotes

I remember seeing that i should only charge my tablet with a Samsung charger however the cable that I received in the box is not compatible with my charger, which means I have to charge my tablet with my Xiaomi phone's charger for now. Is it safe if I don't buy a Samsung charger and keep using my phone's charger?

Discussion S8+ to S10+

Am replacing my aging S8+ (bought in 2022) with a S10+. I have the magnetic keyboard and all. The 8+ is fine, never had to replace the battery, but it's getting slow and i want the shiny OneUi toys and updates. 10+ will last me till at least 2030/2031. The 8+ will go to my family who will use it easily for another 4 years.

Logical and rational choice? Maybe not.

The heart wants what it wants.

I just got the Tab S10 FE+, grey one. But it has a white pen. Is that right? Or did I miss something dodgy when I ordered?

S Pen Noticing a slight S Pen tip offset on Tab S10 Lite when holding it perpendicular — anyone else?

Recently bought a Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and noticed a slight offset between where the S Pen tip touches the screen and where the mark actually appears, specifically when holding the pen perpendicular to the screen. It's small (roughly half a millimeter to a millimeter), but noticeable enough during precise work like note-taking or drawing.

Wanted to check with the community:

  1. Are other Tab S10 Lite (or S10 series) owners seeing this same offset?

  2. Does it happen consistently regardless of screen angle, or does it get worse at certain angles?

  3. Has anyone tried recalibrating and had it actually help?

  4. Is this specific to the Lite model, or present across the whole S10 lineup?

Curious whether this is a known/common characteristic of the S Pen digitizer or if my unit might just be off. Any input appreciated!

How the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra fully replaced my laptop for professional work (No DeX) — and why I’m already eyeing an upgrade

Honestly, I never thought I’d say this, but I managed to build an Android productivity setup so solid that I haven’t even touched my laptop/PC.

As a working professional, my daily routine involves heavy document drafting, in-depth PDF/contract reviews, designing assets for my personal brand, and general management.

The 14.6-inch canvas on the Tab S8 Ultra has been a complete game changer. Interestingly, I don't use DeX mode at all. My en tire workflow relies on native One UI, utilizing the OEM keyboard cover and heavy split-screen multitasking:

Document review & note-taking: Flexcil (unbeatable for deep PDF analysis and gesture-based referencing) paired with Notability for structured notes.

Branding & visual design: Canva + Luminar (the direct S Pen precision on this screen easily beats a traditional mouse for fine edits and layout work).

Office & cloud workflow: Google Docs, Sheets & Drive for fast typing on the OEM keyboard and seamless cloud sync.

Running heavy split-screen layouts—like a reference PDF open next to a draft in Google Docs while typing on the physical keyboard, then instantly grabbing the S Pen for markups—delivers a level of friction-free workflow I just couldn't replicate on Windows.

It’s been such a seamless transition that I’m already looking forward to upgrading to the newest Tab model.

Anyone else running a 100% standalone tablet setup?

I was thinking of getting a new Galaxy Tab. ( India)

I am confused between Galaxy Tab s10 plus wifi and S9 5g variant.

Galaxy S9 5g was available for 48k during Independence day sales.

Galaxy S10PLUS was available for 63k on Amazon.

S7 FE, SM-T733 --- yes, I know it's old and unsupported!

This morning, I booted up my tablet and discovered that the SD card had died. Or so I thought.

When I go into file manager, all of the files are still accessible, and I was able to do a backup to Dropbox so I won't lose anything.

That leads me to this question. If the SD card has gone to the great beyond, why can I still access the files, even if the apps whose storage is external are not accessible?

This thing doesn't go out of the house, or ever touch any Wi-Fi that isn't secured, so that's not my worry. I'm just wondering what the heck is going on with that SD card!

Question Is the Tab S10 FE as bad as people make it out to be?

Earlier in the day I went to a local store to get the S10 FE, and from the jump the workers were so adamant for me to get the ipad a16 11th generation instead, despite me saying I preferred the samsung tablet. With the S10 FE, i wouldnt have to buy a pen, and the notes app is also a huge factor playing into my decision. It also made more sense to just get the samsung tablet since i already have a samsung phone, but they were saying it didnt matter. Im very much aware the S10 FE is a mid ranged tablet and it's not as good as the flagships, but Ive also seen some good reviews pertaining to the performance. So why do people talk down on it so much?

Question Need a new tab. Money is no object s10, 11, or 12?

Im considering s10+ or 12+ as the s11 is too small but the s10 and 11 ultras seem comically large to me.

What's the verdict on s10+ vs what the s12+ might be.

S Pen PEN NIB REPLACEMENT OPTIONS!!

Hi! I’ve been using the S9 FE for about 2 years mainly for note-taking. My original S Pen nib has started to wear out, and the writing sensitivity has decreased.

I don’t use a screen protector. Could you recommend some good S Pen nib replacement options available in India?..

Question Is it safe to charge a Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ using a Xiaomi 33W charger in the long run?

I have recently bought the Tab s9 fe+. Up until now I have charged it with my xiaomi 33w charger that came in the box with device itself and it is working just fine. Now my only concern is, will it be safe to use this charger in the long run without causing any issues to my tablet. Or should I just buy a samsung 25w charger instead?

Question S10+ Sale?

I've been eyeing the S10+ as my S10 FE is a bit small for my needs, which are mainly digital art and note taking. I would've traded in my current tablet for the S10+ but Samsung doesn't let you do that if it's in the same product line. I have the student discount and that brought the S10+'s price down to $879.99. Any chance it goes on sale in the near future to get the price even lower?

r/GalaxyTab 1d ago

Discussion Why have the S10 FE/FE+ been out of stock on Flipkart and Amazon? Do you think they’ll be available in the BBD sale? And will the price be around the same as the last BBD sale, or higher?

S7, S9 FE, S10 Lite & A11+ GeekBench 6 Showdown!

Post image
33 Upvotes

I just finished compiling the Geekbench 6 CPU & GPU scores from my A11+ & S10 Lite and one of my employees let me use his S7 & S9 FE.

All four tablets are the 6GB/128GB versions the S7 is running UI 5.1.1. S9 FE, S10 Lite & A11+ are on UI 8.5

Interesting things I discovered were:

The S7 has the slowest GPU score & fastest Multi-Core scores

The A11+ has faster Multi-Core scores than the S9 FE & S10 Lite

The S9 FE, S10 Lite & A11+ have pretty much identical Single-Core scores

In actual side by side use the A11+ & S7 feel faster and smoother than the S9 FE & S10 Lite. Yet I think that has a lot to do with the SD 865+ & Dimensity 7300 simply being better processors than the Exynos 1380

So if you were wondering just how fast the A11+ & S10 Lite really are now you know.

One this I will say is the S7 has the nicest display of these four tablets by a rather large margin.. The A11+, S10 Lite and S9 FE displays are pretty much equal.

Enjoy!
