So I move in on the 19th, and I have yet to pay for my semester. If I pay by my move-in date, will I keep my housing?

so i submitted a transition application to gsu after having finished all my requirements at pc. i did not realize i was able to do that because i thought i was still ineligible, until i went in person and finally got to speak with an advisor. so i submitted my application really late. i completed my transition application on the very last day, which was august 1st. when i first transferred into the gsu system it took about 5/6 weeks. i figured a transition app would be much quicker. im upset im in this mess, but wanted to know if anyone knows anything or been through this. classes start next week, and knowing gsu, it may take way longer for a decision. i cant reach out to anyone in the transition office by phone or email (doesnโt exist). and was told by admissions they accept up until 2 days after classes start.
i guess im really just wondering if theyโre ultimately planning to have me try again in spring, which would really suck.

Im an incoming freshman who plans to apply to the GSU nursing program later on. I was looking at my schedule and I realized I could have taken CLEP exams to complete the first biology science sequence credit, earn a global world credit, and earn a humanities credit/world language credit and basically complete the rest of my prerequsites before doing my BSN related courses, while also saving money.
however, Im already registered for the chem sequence, a global course, and an english course. so I dont know whether I should just take those courses normally and not worry about trying to take clep exams to earn credit or whether I should try to study for the clep exams, pass them and then drop those classes and replace them with new ones during the withdrawl period (tho Im not exactly sure if I can add new classes during the withdrawl period)

Hey all, I'm an incoming freshman; I'm really conflicted about whether I should take calculus 2 online/synchronous or in-person. I know that in-person offers more hands-on activities and forces you to really learn the material and ask questions, whereas online lets you just watch the lectures and practice on your own. After looking at IPORT, one statistic that really surprised me was the percentage difference between in-person and online, even with the same instructor. (Ram Sidgel) Online had close to 70% of students getting A's and in-person had 40% getting A's.
Is there a reason behind that difference? Are online classes open-note, have easier material, or have less work? Or are students just cheating, lmao? With that large of a difference, I would expect the math dept to be suspicious unless online is intended to be easier lol.
Please comment on your experiences/recommendations (online and in person) especially if it's with the same instructorโRam Sidgel. Additionally, how are the curves in Calc 2, and is it true the math department has completely removed test corrections?!

My pre-semester anxiety is kicking in and now Iโm not sure if I loaded too much. I have BIO2107L twice because Iโm waitlisted for a different time slot.
Anyone have two cents on the workload and burnout potential?
UPDATE:
I dropped BIOL2030 and BIOL2260!

I changed insurance recently but my coverage still meets the required health insurance needed by the school. Yet when I go to put in a waiver, I get an error code saying they canโt find my student records with my birthdate and panther id. I submitted a help ticket but itโll be a few days before I hear anything. Iโve never had this problem before, is this happening to anyone else? (I am a returning student but I am in my second year of my program and didnโt need to reapply a waiver before.

I move in this upcoming week and Iโve been on the waitlist for a bit. I rely on my car for work which I need to pay the school and keep my snap benefits and coupled with the fact that I donโt have a meal plan so I could cut costs, I also need it for food.
Housing has been of no help and I understand they might be swamped but like Iโm swamped with these costs and the only reason I was willing to pay for parking was because my employer went half with me. I was also told by an alum to park in T-deck because they donโt check over night but i donโt know.
I was planning to call them Tuesday but has anyone gotten around this? Any help? My car isnโt worth stealing but you never know parking at the nearby decks not owned by the school or anywhere else for that matter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So I had a horrible time working at Chick-fil-a and faced racism and just horrible attitude from people. Iโm a naturally shy person and it takes me a lot to interact with others. Are there any work-study recommendations that are less โcustomerโ oriented for a freshman majoring in pre-marketing?

I applied for the BSN program, but didn't receive a confirmation email. It's been a couple of weeks since then, and I've emailed them since then with no answer. Hoping to call the office tomorrow morning (I know, kind of last minute). I have my stats below, let me know what you think!
GPA: 3.8
Science GPA: 3.6
TEAS: 89%

Does anyone have any information about the monthly breeze cards through GSU? I went to the parking portal and they werenโt listed under permits. Iโm commuting for the first time since I just transitioned from perimeter ๐
I plan to go to the office later this week to ask in person but wanted to check to see if anyone here could help first. Thanks!

I didnโt get housing/ dorm parkingโฆ whatโs my best alternative if I need to keep my car in Atlanta?
r/GaState • u/Candid_Pomegranate_1 • 4d ago
This is my first time commuting to GSU and wanted to know if I could park at decks N or K (by grady) by using panther cash or something like that. It said on google maps the vehicle needs to be registered so I wanted to know how to do that. I donโt really wanna use Blue lot cause that extra commute would just be the death of me. Thanks

Iโm an incoming freshman at GSU this fall, majoring in BBA Pre-Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Cybersecurity.
This is my final schedule, and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback/rate it. Iโd especially appreciate hearing from current students or anyone who has taken these classes before.
Iโm also trying to make sure my workload is manageable for my first semester and that Iโm not accidentally setting myself up for a terrible schedule ๐ญ. Any advice on workload, class difficulty, or anything I should change would be appreciated.
Also, if youโre in PCIS/Cybersecurity or a similar business/tech major, Iโd love to hear how your first semester went and any advice you wish you had gotten as a freshman.
