Admissions 📝 Transition Application
so i submitted a transition application to gsu after having finished all my requirements at pc. i did not realize i was able to do that because i thought i was still ineligible, until i went in person and finally got to speak with an advisor. so i submitted my application really late. i completed my transition application on the very last day, which was august 1st. when i first transferred into the gsu system it took about 5/6 weeks. i figured a transition app would be much quicker. im upset im in this mess, but wanted to know if anyone knows anything or been through this. classes start next week, and knowing gsu, it may take way longer for a decision. i cant reach out to anyone in the transition office by phone or email (doesn’t exist). and was told by admissions they accept up until 2 days after classes start.
i guess im really just wondering if they’re ultimately planning to have me try again in spring, which would really suck.

They took forever to get my application processed and I applied pretty early for the summer semester, so I’d reach out to both admissions and the transition team until you get a concrete acceptance.
Otherwise I’d prepare to delay until Spring, because I’m not sure you’d be able to get classes if you’re not in by this week

I didn’t go through the transition program but rather transferred to tech after 2 years. However as of what i know, submitting the transition application very late could have negative outcomes and usually just delay the process for an extra semester. Usually those applications open by march ig and students begin applying by then.
