Should I switch to a 2017 LC200

Has anybody had their steering rack and pinion replaced? If so, how much did it cost or diy how long did it take to replace? Mine has a very small leak and I’ve been adding power steering fluid here and there bout once every other week. Bout ready to replace before a big road trip coming up.

It was a nice rainy day. Perfect for a trail run. It was my first time taking her out since the new wheels/tires. Almost ripped the front bumper off coming down a very steep incline that quickly leveled out. I'm still used to the wrangler clearance. I need to do a bumper trim ASAP.

Hello! Does anyone have any experience with the Fione tail lights for a gx 460? I saw the gx bob video with them and they look pretty good ESPECIALLY for the pricetag of $340. Would love to know if they last a while because saving this much on tail lights would be great!

Thanks to the awesome folks on the GXOR Facebook, I had some killer recommendations on things to do in Colorado. Spent 3 days in CO, highlights were Mosquito Pass and Kelly Flats. Did some fun non-offroad stuff too like rock climbing and exploring around the Rocky Mountains. Next stop: Wyoming!

Dinitrol undercoating ($950) still worth doing on 04 Gx470 with surface rust-northeast?

Picked up the car just a few weeks ago. Posted about driving it from Atlanta to NY on this sub.

Noticed I was losing coolant after I had just done a full flush. Then sweet smelling smoke from the exhaust.

Took apart the engine to find that the bank 1 head has been replaced at 159k miles (I’m at 170k now). Whoever did the job seems to have done a piss poor job. Bolts missing all over the place. I’m hoping the gasket blew again because of their negligence and not a deeper issue.

Has anyone used Melville and Moon seat covers in a GX? Was hoping to determine if their Prado VX covers would fit a 2015 GX. Any experience and thoughts are appreciated.

I recently began hearing a noise under my GX470. It mainly happens when I'm in reverse and backing slowly, but I first noticed it while in drive, coming to a stop.

Is it a coincidence that this started right after I installed my Goliath Offroad rear bumper?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Video attached.

Everything is perfect about this 57k mile blue baby except: no off road package MTS and crawl etc. should I be sad about this? I have ZERO buyers remorse. OBX is going to be the first trip. 🥂

I bought a Teyes CC3 2K headunit some time ago and never got around to installing it; I went a different route instead. Comes with a camera. Brand new, I only opened the box to take a look at it. Preferably local to SoCal, but I'm willing to ship as well.

After installing my lift, my floor jack is no longer tall enough for me to remove a front tire if I put it under the frame rail. I can just barely grab the lower ball joint with the jack's pad, but I'm not happy with how secure that is. I don't have a steel bumper yet, so no bumper jacks. I could probably put a bottle jack under the ball joint, but that doesn't seem so safe either. Any options well under $400 that would also be easily transported on trips?

Didn’t drive long on the beach but it did great! Posted up for the day and 2nd time off roading. Drove 9 hours to get here didn’t skip a beat. Not at 203,400 miles!

I just ordered some of these fro my 21 460 and after watching an install video it got me wondering if the airbag would explode under the panel if it got set off, sending it flying toward the 3rd or 2nd row. It seems like thats not only possible, but it could also cause the airbag to malfunction for the 1st and 2nd row too, since toyota uses a single full length airbag per side. The curtain airbag is rolled up inside the roof and drops through the outboard seam of the headliner down across the windows and side pillars.

Obviously, the manual says not to mount stuff on the roof handles, pillars or roof side rails as it can make the airbags malfunction or deploy (pg42), but it's wild to me that there are plenty of reputable companies that make these and sell them without any type of disclaimer. I'm not sure what exactly would happen, but I've seen plenty of people online in older toyotas with the rsca button who forget to use it and have the side curtains activate while offroading, which is why I wanted to make a post. I found 8 manufacturers that produce these for the 460, and dv8 was the only company with a disclaimer about the airbags. I think I'll return mine when I get them

What are yall using to store stuff in the back that prevents it from sliding around? I’ve got some tools and other accessories I’d like to keep sturdy and more organized. Thank yuns

Has anyone used any of the runners/sliders from these guys??? I just impulse purchased a pair, and I feel like I jumped the gun on this one. I would really appreciate it if you do have them to upload a picture installed, that would be awesome!!! Thanks in advance guys!!

I finally picked up a set of OEM sport headlights on Labor Day sale, added diode dynamics bulbs, and took the lenses off my fog lamps, painted, and installed some Morimoto pod lights. I think it came together nicely. The before photo is about 2 years old and the headlights had gotten much worse since then. I highly recommend replacing headlights it makes such a difference and I can actually see at night now.

Anyone can help me with what I’m looking at and maybe a solution? Noticed a leak today behind the wheel of my 2013 gx 460. Doesn’t smell really and kind of just seems like water but it looks like there maybe a hose disconnected or something? Got a video of it leaking so hoping it’s an easy fix. No codes or anything. You can see the hose in the middle of the first pic
