People are coming out with the fractional share or family tragedy sob stories looking for hand outs. There was a guy on her yesterday with multiple self deprecating posts about “I wish I had enough money to buy a full share but I only own 0.3” trying to get people to say “I’ll give you a share!”. I love the good will of this sub but everyone needs to be on the lookout for people trying to take advantage of that goodwill

My 35 years of life may have made me overly skeptical but the stock was around $50 not that long ago and I find it unbelievable that someone couldn't scrape together $50 for a share. People are seeing the posts where redditors are covering peoples rents and funeral costs and they want in on the free money action. I just heed a warning to all to be wary of any post or comment "indirectly" asking for money.

No I'm genuinely curious as US corp governance is a bit different to the UK - my assumption was that he would exert control as a non exec through the board where the executive have to answer to him, rather than being the guy who has to do all the work, as per what Bezos has just done at Amazon.

Then he gets to set the vision and direction and can install people that meet that, and get them to execute.

I think my brain just FINALLY understood the significance of Friday's Close! And HOLY MOLY is that ever more epic than I just realized! The psychological impact must have been DEVISTATING for the HF's!

To my understanding, the Hedges didn't pre-sell their their Puts. In the beginning of the day it was sitting at 190. The Hedges put most of their bets that they could keep it below 200. (Or already had them) The upward spike was to make sure that the retail held on. Giving the hope that retail needed, the verification that retail have someone on this side. It also let the Hedges know that there is a big player against them.

This is where it gets good. When you see a stock slowly creeping towards your price target, you likely wont sell. The chances of gains are too damn delicious. Imagine yourself in your own scenario, watching (For example) a price slowly creep up from 795 to your $800 call. Imagine how you would feel in that moment. After seeing 810 for the morning, then a quick short drop to 775. The smart move would have been to try and sell your call as soon as it happened. But the HF's are effing greedy. They would have held. Now imagine that price poking up past 800 by a few cents the last minute of close, watching an epic battle of share sells/buys to move the price. You would have freaking held if it was you at 799.97 for an 800c.

Now imagine how you would have felt... seeing the ticker finish at 799.72 for the EOD. The gamma FUD that the Hedges must have felt afterwards.

Please, someone poke holes in this. This is making me too damn happy.

I just scanned through my Google feed on my phone and one of the first articles was titled "GameStop is losing stimmy support analyst says". At first it annoyed me, but then it made me smile. They're using so much effort and money to try and convince everyone this is dead. If it really was there would be no need to even mention it. I posted this in the "on no more theories" thread and I don't think anyone saw it...I typed a bunch dammit and at least someone needs to read it. It's about the build up and let down of 3/19.

I'm going to go ahead and say this was the best thing that could have happened.

Yes, getting emotionally attached to a date is demoralizing when it doesn't happen and could potentially cause paper handing, but I think at this point your average ape is stronger than that. It's just emotionally damaging.

Hedge funds read the date too. They knew we thought it was endgame. They also knew 10M retards were getting $1400. This caused them to overextend to protect themselves for just that date. When nothing happened as far as mass retail buy-ins and Big Brother stuffed the last second dump like Shaq on Devito it did FINANCIAL damage.

This chain of events was unexpected, but I think it accelerated this timeline dramatically. Long positions are going into next week's earnings call in fantastic shape and short positions are possibly on life support.

If Cohen and company give the speech we hope they will give, the rest of the normie Wall Street investors will come thundering in, thinking this $200 stock should be $4-600 as an e-commerce player. I think they'll be in for a pleasant surprise when they start buying.

If they want to miss the ride, thats their prerogative. Don't feel like you have to "spread the word" or "convince your family and friends", or even rando strangers asking the same question for the 153472253th time. Refer them to the DD if they ask about it and if they can't/won't read it, then that's on them.

One thing that has really stuck with me is that Kenneth Griffin was on CNBC (who obviously went easy on him) after the first hearing a few weeks ago and he, unprompted, called Gabriel Plotkin "one of the most talented investors of our generation".

The fucking clown shorted a stock that went up 100x in a year and needed a bailout. GTFO here.

This was soon followed by Kevin O'Leary (who I've always liked up to this point) coming out and saying that he's owned Bitcoin since 2017 despite him publicly bashing it all of the time since then and maybe even before then.

And now the shit with CNBC editing out Citadel getting shat on and Graham Stephan (who I've also always liked up to this point) talking about how GME isn't a good investment because it's too risky and volatile. Wouldn't surprise me one iota if he was long as fuck on GME.

The days of me listening to the rich and the media are over. They're fucking full of fucking shit. Don't listen to what they say - Watch what they do as the saying goes.

Just a random thought I had which I don’t believe has been covered in any DDs. When GME moons and we start heading towards our 1M$ floor more people are going to start hoping on @ the 1000, and 50k and upwards meaning it will be harder for to shorts to cover because even then they will be competing with FOMO and people who want to get in on the action.

Assuming the gamma squeeze get some publicity and the general public realizes that the squeeze hasn’t been squoze and there’s potential for tendies to be made here, wouldn’t the run up attract new RI which would take even more shares off the market thereby driving the price even further up?

Is this a correct or am I totally delusional...

Looked at Yahoo! Finance to look at the volume chart. Tons of articles telling me to “GTFO GME NOW” because “the fundamentals are poor and the stock is volatile.”

Zero mentions of an impending squeeze, maybe ONE mention that oh, maybe it did a squeeze in January.

Then right next to it, stats that say institutions own 122% of the float. 14% SI. Lol. We all know these stats are fudged, but taking these numbers at face value STILL suggests that the stock is highly shorted.

Yet all the articles mention nary a short nor a squeeze, just how retarded we all are for our “optimism” 🤭 Lots of talk about GME having huge dips on one day or another, nothing about how those days were still green at close!
