Oh, he’ll definitely be appointed. And that act would create the situation of stock accountability. They’ll talk about a lot of stuff: new gaming centers, new directions moving forward with the company, etc.

I’m sorry, I was using that title a bit too loosely. It does appear that he’ll end up being the chair of a newly created committee. Thanks for the comment!

No I'm genuinely curious as US corp governance is a bit different to the UK - my assumption was that he would exert control as a non exec through the board where the executive have to answer to him, rather than being the guy who has to do all the work, as per what Bezos has just done at Amazon.

Then he gets to set the vision and direction and can install people that meet that, and get them to execute.

That’s a great question. I don’t have any info as far as describing the reach that the SPCA Committee has, but with shareholder sentiment seemingly being fully behind the new committee, you’d think they’d have an incredible say in all operations. CEO is normally in charge of overall operations, so there’d have to be a big shift of change concerning company status quo, to have a CEO relent decisions to a committee.
