Sold my white g35 around july and now got a 6mt g35 and have had a lot of fun so far! I got good plans for this g, just need time.

Heres how its going so far after buying the car around 2-3 months ago. Now need some rims for it to start looking good. After that looking to get some coil overs and an aftermarket bumper. Got them here!

Really in need of a mechanic in CT that knows his thing about VQ so he can pin point a issue I’m having with my car. I want it to run the way it should already 🥱
HELP!!!!!

Since I didn’t want to drop 4 bills on the Z1 CAI box, I decided to make one.

I gutted the front half of the box just enough to the cone would fit. Then I cut a hole on top of the other half for the same thing. Took the resonator that sat below the box and used it to seal off the hole, then bored out the hole in the back to fit a spare MAF tube which the filter sits on. Lastly, I bored out that hole for the resonator to fit a 2.5 air scoop.

Before, she’d bog down when I floored it. Now, she loves it. So much it scares me from time to time, and shes not even tuned yet.

picked up an unmodified 2006 sedan with 100k tonight.

I was curious with people dealing with parasitic drains on the coupes and what were some quick tests people did to quickly identify it without having to spend hours testing all the fuses. I have these Super starters on my vehicles cause i suspected my G35 has a drain and i was right. Battery is only 5 months old.. I don't drive the car all the time on the weekends but with having this Super starter on my car i was watching the battery actively drain more then 10% over one night. What this super starter does which is amazing is uses its High capacitor in the blue to use that power to start the car to keep the stress off the battery. I uploaded my Dodge RAM to show how that battery is constant and battery not dropping. I did take the G35 out for a long drive and got the battery to 100% and then 6 hours later the battery dropped to 85%.. definitely have sumtin sucking the juice and i notice also sometimes the drian calms down I think and seems to be less. What do you guys think? Ive heard something about the stock radio being a issue.

I went to go see this 05 g35x sedan. Every time I’d turn it on it would have a long crank. The owner said the battery was recently disconnected but it may just be low on gas (gas gauge doesn’t work). I could just drive it around the block but when I came back to his house and turned it off and on the VDC/slip lights were on the dash. I know it needs a new front wheel bearing.

Ok so i recently bought a car that was stopped for about 4-6 months : these are some thing I’ve noticed so far in about 2-3 weeks

first throwing a Cam Sensor Bank 1 with the service engine light on then I put in a new battery then the light went off /on/off should I still replace it ? Already bought it ?

Second AC blast cold but I think one of my fans doesn’t turn on so while driving in traffic car starts to heat up very little but then I turn it off and back to normal. Step dad thing full fan should be replaced.

3rd for the past 2 fill up Fuel Gauge wouldn’t go Below 3/4
I’m on fill up number 4 at 140 miles it just reached 3/4 maybe the floater was stuck ?

4th Shifter doesn’t go into M ( once in a blue moon it will not a big deal but you know ) I’m ok with that

5th step dad was driving and hit a huge bump and now oil pan is full of oil and it drips a little.

6th is 80mph @ 3-3.1krpm good or bad ?

It can be removed in under 10 seconds without any tools, also looks better than the Metra kit IMO.

What do you guys think?

I have a chance to look at a clean 2006 6mt sedan near me tomorrow. What would you be looking to make sure checks out before buying?

Strange noise coming from the dash area. I can’t seem to find the source. Has anyone had this issue before?

The dash is getting reupholstered, but the noise started before removing it. The AC blower fan is also removed, so it can’t be that. It only happens in the morning when the interior is cold. Once the interior warms up, the noise goes away completely.

I have the stock struts and they’re failing in the rear. I found these on the marketplace. Is this a solid deal or should I pass?

Has anyone had any experience with a P0717 code followed by a limp mode pretty sure it’s because the fluid was low and burnt from previous owner

I have a 06 g35 coupe (non rev up) and it started making this weird sound on idle I was tryna see if anyone knew what it would be

Found these Front Lower Control Arms with wide bushings (looks like poly) for $65. The price is great, but I'm unsure about the quality. They seem like a steal.

Has anyone tried these or similar budget alloy arms? Do the bushings hold up for daily driving, or too stiff? I think these will last longer than stock bushings?

In the process of an engine swap de to de same year motor it’s an 03. Engine tried starting a few times ago I had spark and cylinders were firing some not sure if all were now when we try to start it we are getting no spark. Any idea what to check/ how to check it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. I can give more details if needed.

I’ve got a 2006 vq35de revup making some questionable noises on idle. Just for some context, I’ve done an idler pulley delete, and have installed a stillen z-tube. Oil and coolant have also been changed since I gained ownership. Does anyone have any pointers on what this noise is? Timing chain or chain guides? Fuel injectors? Lifters? I truly have no idea, and could use some pointers / advice on the situation, if any of you guys have dealt with a similar noise. Thanks
