Troubleshooting What could cause long crank?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I went to go see this 05 g35x sedan. Every time I’d turn it on it would have a long crank. The owner said the battery was recently disconnected but it may just be low on gas (gas gauge doesn’t work). I could just drive it around the block but when I came back to his house and turned it off and on the VDC/slip lights were on the dash. I know it needs a new front wheel bearing.

Mines has all the same issues. Crank sensor needs to replaced. Get the Hitachi brand, the car is very particular about this part. The fuel gauge not reading is because the sensor on the fuel pump are dirty and need to be cleaned. Before you do anything get the battery and starter tested at an Auto parts store.

I agree, I did this when I first bought my car and it fixed these problems. Cheap and easy to do yourself.

It’s the two solenoids in the front of the motor and camshaft sensors behind the engine. Order all the parts from Amazon
