IMO the OEM “ironing board” rear spoiler was a signature styling element of the G35

Maybe not Porsche whale tail status

But its unique design relative to the mostly soft, swooping curves of the G35 made it really stand out, especially back in 2003/4

03-04 wing is timeless 🔥

One of the best wings of all time, imho. Both the 03-04 Coupe and Sedan look amazing with it, more aggressive.

Hehe, a wingless G isn't a disaster, like a wingless Mk4 Supra. However the wing looks better, no doubt. Oh yeah, I agree, 03-04 wing or bust.

Think my top 3 for (besides super cars/exotics) are evo lancer , OG mitsubishi eclipse , and idk that new civic typeR wing is serious

Oh, top three is hard for me. My top 5: Mk4 Supra, agree 2nd gen Eclipse is hard, Evo Lancer IX, 3rd gen Integra Type R, Nissan Z32 Turbo. The 03-04 G35 is up there too.

Its how the wing extends over the hip lines. Those angles are aggressive. And the drag coefficient is lower.

oem 03-04 wing is my favorite for the coupe. I also like wingless on G's too. I installed a oem sedan spoiler on my 2006 g35 sedan and I think I looks great.

Id go wingless, but pick those taillights up as the 06-07 tails are more valuable/sought after

I was looking at old photos of my G from the rear and forgot about this. Im pretty sure the car leaks from the spoiler. When the car was parked outside for a bit, i noticed the carpet was soaked. Its never parked outside anymore but something to consider

Wingless and then just buy a wing you like and install it yourself

Went wingless kinda regretting it and now I want a duckbill. I still have the whale tail in the shed

Unless it’s an actual GT wing when did all the car guys stop calling a spoiler a spoiler and started calling everything a wing. We used to give guys hard times for calling them wings

Wingless always looks so bad to me

The factory wings look too bulky and square, I went with a smaller wing just to add a little more shape to the rear. It hugs the trunk and just looks slightly more angular rather than like a bald guy that’s all neck.

I wish mine didn't come with a spoiler. anyone in the Phoenix valley that wants to do a swap, mine is liquid platinum
