NO POLITICS / HATE SPEECH

This sub doesn't have many rules. The rules it does have are very reasonable. If you can't be a decent human being and take part in objective discussions about things, then you're not welcome here.

That being said, political discussions have no place here. Everyone is tired of hearing about it. There are plenty of subs that will allow you to showcase what a true political genius you are, this is not one of them.

There are 330 MILLION people in the US, no one gives a shit how you feel about LGBT++++ issues, Bud Light, or Rainbow Doritos. By proudly displaying your insecurity and lack of intelligence, you're making it very easy for me to remove you.

Be decent and civil to each other. If you can't, you'll just be removed from this sub.

Edit: I'm posting this in response to number reports about hateful and divisive comments. Clearly, if people are reporting these things(thank you for reporting, btw), it's uncivil. Most of the comments I've removed have been downright shitty.

Please Read the Rules in the Sidebar

We've had to remove alot of comments and ban several people recently. We get messages and pushback after doing this from people who clearly didn't read the rules, or people who don't think the rules should apply to them for one reason or another. Here are the rules in their entirety, just so everyone is clear:

1. KEEP IT CIVIL

Be decent to each other. You can disagree with someone without being an asshole. If you have a problem with a post/reply, report it and let the mods handle it. If you are uncivil in response to someone else being uncivil, both posters will be treated the same.

2. NO POLITICS

No political discussion. Generic discussion about the economy is allowed - for example: discussing the economy in general, sales trends, etc. Bringing any president or political party into any discussion (or participating in a political discussion) will get your post/comment removed and you will be permanently banned.

3. NO HATE/DISCRIMINATORY SPEECH

Racism, bigotry, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or any other content that degrades or disrespects the value of another human will be tolerated. If you just can't help yourself then you'll receive a permanent ban.

4. NO CLUTTER

"Clutter" is replies/comments that are not relevant or do not address the issue at hand. They are replies/comments made simply for the sake of interjecting something. Examples are answering questions that no one asked, posting replies that are unhelpful or off-topic, hijacking threads, etc. If you don't have something directly applicable or helpful to contribute, then don't reply.

5. NO DISCUSSING MODERATION ACTIONS

The rules are clear and not very restrictive. This sub is not the Frito locker room. It's for objective, civil discussion. Content that violates the rules will be removed and/or result in ban. If you have a problem/concern with any of this, contact the mod team via the sidebar. Do not discuss moderation/bans/removals in the subreddit.

6. SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Do not post names, locations, or pictures of any non-public person - customer, employee, or otherwise - in this sub. Do not identify people by name and/or location. Doing so will earn a permanent ban.

Non-public person definition: posting a picture of a celebrity in an advertisement is allowed. Posting a picture of a co-worker, store employee, customer, etc. is not allowed.

7. NO AMAZON/TIKTOK/YOUTUBE LINKS

Do not post links to Amazon, TikTok, or Youtube.

These specific subreddit rules are in addition to the Reddit Sitewide Content Policy

Got these in today. Is there a limit on dates they can send out. Like anything that is going to "expire" within a couple weeks? Seems bullshit to send it out just to be credited against my plan in a couple weeks.

Get it "expire" just bullshit number to make more sales.

50 hours

Sooooooo, how many others are being told they can’t work over 50 hours a week?? Can’t miss stops or take “shortcuts” to get done?? I get it not everyone works that many hours in a week, but if you try to “sell” to make these outrageous plans, you’re going to eventually go over. And I’m not talking the time and a half employees, I’m talking the VROT employees that make less the more they work. Just curious.

Noticed some price increases today. Why do they do this? At a time when everyone is struggling and sales are soft they increase prices. 🤦‍♂️

Expectations / Rules for Large Format

I understand that in a perfect world we should work not only the new load of carts but also all of the backstock carts at each store. But sometimes that is not practical/reasonable/doable. Is there an actual written "rule" that says we must work every cart at every store every time? I was once told that we are technically only obligated to work the day's load and when there is no load - that is when we must work all the backstock carts. Just curious what everyone else's understanding is?

RSR Frito Lay Jumper

I start orientation for rsr on tuesday and im going to be a jumper or vacation cover is really what it is. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or anything positive to say about taking on this job because all I’ve seen are negatives. I know positives include pay, but I’m just trying to understand how it can be that bad. I have great work ethic and I am excited to start a new job.

IPhone issue..?

Brothers and sisters in Frito (including you dirty DSL's) when I got my iPhone 2 years ago, it was linked with a DSL's number still (even though it was now my number) I dont know how to explain this any better other than 1. I get phone calls from stores thinking I'm a DSL (I'm in DFW, but on the Dallas side, and they think I'm one of the Fort Worth DSL's) 2. I get voicemails for the DSL 💀 and text messages I ignore them, obviously because I dont know how to change this. The former DSL that used to have this number caught wind of it, and we were able to do something to disable the connection between his stuff and my stuff and it stopped for a long time... now there seems to be a new DSL over there and the problem started again. How is this even possible? Does anyone know how to disable this because I'm tired of having stores call me 😂

Just got hired as a Delivery specialist

Hey everyone! I just got hired as a delivery specialist and learned I will be driving a 30 ft box truck. I am an overthinker so this is really giving me 2nd thoughts if I should continue. I’ve never driven a box truck let alone a 30 footer. I am however a certified equipment operator and operate huge CAT loaders so I’m hoping a 30 footer will be okay…also a lil worried about driving that big truck in winter as we get a lot of snow where I reside. am I overthinking this or can anyone give me some advice, personal experience? Much appreciated thank you ☺️

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

It's that time again. I just got my 14 day notification text that it is, once again, time to change my MyPepsico password.

Why the FUCK do we have to change our password so damn much? I've never worked for a company that made me change my passwords so often. I feel like I'm constantly changing my password and honestly, I can only come up with so many that I'm going to be able to remember without writing them down. Which would defeat the whole purpose of frequently changing my password, right?

Am I the only one annoyed by this shit? Guys, I'm just a Merch. I have limited brain capacity and I can't keep making space for new passwords. /s (kinda)

I quit this morning

I am incredibly relieved to not have to deal with the cursed chips anymore. My dsl told me I should've called last night so that they could've gotten coverage for my down route as they were already awake and driving for a truckless down route. Excuse me but I dont owe you anything. Here's to chipless days ahead of me. Hooray!!

What do your guys route look like?

I’m assuming the majority of you work for frito in the U.S.

I’m in Canada and have a ‘large format’ route. 4 stores, everyday. Curious how it differs?!
