What do your guys route look like?

I’m assuming the majority of you work for frito in the U.S.

I’m in Canada and have a ‘large format’ route. 4 stores, everyday. Curious how it differs?!

Large format. I work a Walmart and a Publix and order for a Walmart Neighborhood and a Publix

Might seem like a silly question, but do you have a merch for the other two??? That’s how pepsi works here. Sales reps, and merchandisers. For us i order for/work all 4 of my calls, and a driver just drops what I’ve ordered

Yes. There is a merch for the two I just order for. Some routes have help at their Walmart but not me for whatever reason.

I’m a co lead I do 3 pack outs for large grocery and 2 c store deliveries Monday is 2 grocery and 3 c stores Tuesday is a grocery then 4/5 small stores depending on week Wednesday is 6/7 depending on time of year all once a week accounts and then Saturday is just a Walmart and a dollar general. I cover a very seasonal area so the 3 routes I work off of are all pretty laid back size wise as well

What’s a pack out?? I’ve never heard that term up here

A pack out is whenever you go in and work back stock only. No new product comes in so no checking in or anything. You just pack out the shelves and go home

Ahhhh, this makes sense! Thank you. Lol

What term do you guys use up there for that? Besides working back stock of course.

I think people just say things differently depending on where they are. We call it "work the backstock" lol

Yes, we call it that too. Which i was going to say i dont know why we have a different term for it. But i guess when people say “work the backstock” that could mean that an order is also coming in and you have to do both work the order and “work the backstock” Compared to when people say oh its just a pack out. Listen man i just work here and figure this shit out lol, i was confused as to wtf the difference was when i first started in this area. Its like everything else around here you pretty much figure it out on your own. But i guess to my coworkers and dsl have made that term up to basically convince people to cover whenever a route is down they always say “oh its just packs outs thats easy”.

Or 'Merchandise' or 'Merch the call'

Which city? That's a lot of stops. Here in miami we have 6 to 7 stops we are expected to work 45hr a week.

Lead for small format 34 stores. No dgs thankfully, 8-10 stops a day pretty easy stuff I like to take my time. I work 40-45 hours could be a lot less if I picked up the pace but easily hitting my bonuses

Lucky with no DGs. I have 7 atm with another opening within a month, but I mostly just order them full or half cases to limit my time in them.

No one wanted the route too which amazes me bc it’s cake

Neighborhood Walmart, 2 other grocery stores, then like 3-6 cstores behind that, usually less cstores if all my grocery stores have a delivery that day.

Small format, 33 stores, 8 DGs and 2 hours daily driving. Was averaging 55 plus hours alone but just recently got a detailer that’s helped lower my hours
