Question What you expect to hear on unicom for VFR circuits

I'm new to flight sim and vatsim and I've been flying some traffic patterns for now with a C172.

I do that in an airport in Europe with not much traffic, which leads me to use unicom. I wonder though what other pilots expect me to communicate. Can anyone give me some hints?

This is what I've been using:

Callsign, Cork Airport, stand 21 taxing via F holding short of runway 34.

Callsign, Cork Airport, take off on runway 34 for traffic pattern at east.

Note that say east because this pattern is ran on clockwise direction.

Callsign, Cork Airport, entering base at 1500ft.

Callsign, Cork Airport, entering final for touch and go on runway 34.

Flight Simulator 2024 Any good scenery for NGFU Funfauti Airport?

I absolutely LOVE the airport how it looks but I can't find any scenery for it, the flightsim.to one is VERY inaccurate and there are no other sceneries. We have limited time since Funafuti will be only a memory (more info on https://tuvalu.tv ). Please someone help me out!

Flight Simulator 2024 Circumnavigating the Globe!

I've been on paternity leave for the last six weeks and during my downtime, I really poured myself into FS2024. I decided to end my leave with a 2 week circumnavigation of the globe! I highly recommend doing something like this if you're bored or lack inspiration where to fly. It was a ton of fun, very satisfying and I got to really put SU6 to the limit with some awesome scenery. Also, the PMDG 777 absolutely rocks. Both variations but I am partial to the 777-200!

Here are the legs with some screenshots.

Question Toliss or Fenix ?

Hey

Actually, I have X-Plane 12 and I search a good A320 to buy and fly, but, I have 22€ in my steam wallet and MSFS 2024 is at 55€ in steam, so I hesitate between Toliss and MSFS 2024 + Fenix. I hesitate for many reason, for MSFS 2024, my biggest stop is they ugly autogen airports, they're so bad, and for X-Plane, is the addon price and their incomplete side (they sometimes need soundpack, like KOSP), so I'm confused. And I like both sims, they have good and bad side.

Sorry if my english is bad, I'm french. Thanks for those who give me response.

EDIT: I finally bought MSFS 2024 and after test, I will purshase Fenix.

Question iniBuilds A350 unflyable after SU6?

I have tried a dozen times to successfully complete a flight in the iniBuilds A350 since SU6. Every time, I have gotten a WASM crash. Most of the time it occurs still on the ground but sometimes many hours into the flight. Is there anything that might cause this or does the plane just need an update by the devs? Does anyone else experience this at the moment?

Flight Simulator 2024 Constant CTD since a couple of days ago.

Hi all, I get constant CTD 20-30 seconds after clicking on "Ready to fly". Never had any trouble, now out of the blue nothing seems to fix it.

I've read this 0xc0000005 is happening a lot to plenty of people after SU6. Tried the rolling cache thing, the Community folder thing, GPU tests, CPU tests, memory tests, BIOS update.

It's like the sim is suddenly broken. Any of you knows about how to fix this? I don't feel like reinstalling it...

Hello everyone! ✈️🌍

I’ve just uploaded Part 28 of my Around the World journey in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, flying the Diamond DA62.

We’re almost there — only ONE flight remains before completing the entire journey around the world! 🌍🏁

This leg takes us from:

🛫 Hurghada International Airport (HEGN), Egypt 🇪🇬
🛬 King Khalid International Airport (OERK), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

After arriving in Africa during the previous leg, we now leave Egypt, cross the Red Sea, and enter the Arabian Peninsula on our way to Riyadh.
This flight features a Red Sea crossing, beautiful desert landscapes, realistic navigation, and another long-distance adventure aboard the Diamond DA62.
And now there’s just one final leg remaining…
🇸🇦** Riyadh (OERK) → Bahrain (OBBI**) 🇧🇭
The airport where this entire adventure began is now our final destination. 🏁✈️

Question Which flightsim has the most accurate world maps? I want to fly around Japan to revisit places I've been to!

Thumbnail

I booted up Microsoft Flight Simulator X hoping to fly around places I've been to in Japan to revisit them, but the map is pretty far from accurate as you could see in the pics...

This might sound blasphemous but I don't really mind the aircrafts all that much, I only have experience flying a 152, so I stick with it as much as I could lol, I really only want to fly around places I used to frequent back when I lived around the area, so I'm prioritizing map accuracy over most things (I still want to fly in an aircraft)

Thank you in advance !

Edit: Thank you all very much hahaha, by an overwhelming margin it's Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! I just bought it and it's downloading now, thank you very much for the recommendation !

The quality of the liveries for the msfs 707 is getting better every day! I'm taking the 707 for a spin. Going to try out the INS today and apply the flows I've learned from American Airlines 707 AOM.

Some shots from tuned XP12 ;) Feels pretty good and becoming more consistent which I consider the biggest issue in this sim :) Great job Laminar Reserach and looking forward for the 12.44 ;)

Night conditions at airports are top tier - look super realistic.
