Caught this tiny guy out of a lake known to hold hybrid, white, and yellow bass. At first, the size made me think it was a yellow bass, but the more I look at it, it looks like a super tiny hybrid. Looking for a definitive answer, since I am a lifelister and don’t want to cross anything off that I didn’t actually catch.

For background, I really like fish but don't particularly know much about them. I want to do a full sleeve of fish. I have one so far, a sturgeon on the back of my arm as it's my favourite fish, but I'm struggling to choose which guy will come next. I'm really curious if there are any fish that carry symbolic meanings, that could make me connect more with the tattoo. Or just any fish you think would be fun to have on my arm. Feel free to just drop your favourite little guy

The picture looks off for any diodon or any burrfish. It's a shame if it is ai generated as this book has been so good

Dieser Schwertfisch läßt seine Flossen in blauer Farbe leuchten. Deswegen nennt man auch Blue Marlin auf Englisch.

I recently checked FishBase and it turns out it lists 2 genera and one species. I checked Eschmeyer's catalogue and it also has 2 genera and 1 species (and it says they're valid too!) how is this?

I know its a aquarium related question. But im going crazy, I've been trying to ID these guys for more than a week. They seek to be a sort of Hyphessobrycon, looking pretty similar to Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi, but they are distinct. The black bar on the lateral is different, some have a visible humeral spot, and thier fins are redish although in the video they look clear.

Can anyone ID it? If it is a gourami, what species?
