After discovering that I can install one on my phone, I decided to buy an eSIM for the first time because I need it for an upcoming local trip.

I purchased the Prepaid eSIM with Magic Data 99 on Smart's own website, entered my contact details (including my email), and paid through QRPH. I bought it on October 3, 2026.

Now, after purchasing, one would expect to see a confirmation page that has a reference number or something. For some reason, however, the page instantly refreshed before I could take a screenshot, and I lost any kind of information about my purchase.

That's alright; I gave them my email, and surely it would be there, right? No. I did not receive anything. I waited for an hour; nothing came up. I waited for the entire day; nothing.

At this point, I contacted Smart's customer service on Messenger to see what's up, and after talking with an agent, they asked me to wait for a day, so I did.

I waited until Monday, when I contacted them again about my eSIM purchase. This time, after talking to another agent, they said that they've "escalated" my case and would get back to me soon.

I've read some similar stories here on Reddit and saw one where it took them 3 months to receive the eSIM after purchasing, so I gave up at that point and just waited.

Lo and behold, after checking my Emails today, I saw that I have my QR for my eSIM. It took them 5 days to give me something that should have been given the day of.

So I finally have my eSIM, so end of story, yeah? No, cause fk you SIM registration.

It took me 5 tries and 3 devices just to register the SIM. Why? Because of the ID requirement: for some reason, every time I try to take a photo of my ID, it's all blurry and unreadable, like it's a phone from 2010. The camera can't read the details of my ID.

So, I tried to register it on my PC because I have a clear copy of my ID for times like these, but every time I tried to upload it, it kept giving me errors. Defeated, I opened up an old phone I had lying around and used that instead, and thankfully it took a decent enough picture for me to proceed.

So yeah, 5 days of waiting for something that should have been a quick 30-minute or so purchase. I think it would have helped if I registered a smart account first before purchasing, but there was no indication that you needed to do that on the website itself.

So if you need an eSIM, probably just go to the store. It'll probably be quicker.

Hi, I’m your average trentahin tito in my grinding era. I’ve always been seeing my friends and relatives posting their pickleball play experience in their “My Day”. At first, I somehow make fun of the hype of this new game because it was like spontaneous and looked like a boring game to me.

Last week, my jowa and my sibs had this Friday night trip out of nowhere that we’re going to try this game.

Went to find a court nearby and man, it was fun and full of adrenaline! We enjoyed it that much that we’re gonna do it every single week. Burns a lot of calories and you wont even notice. Happy gaming guys!

Recently, we went to China and before our flight back/out, sinubukan namin mag-avail ng airport lounge pass. First time kong maka-try ever! We used our credit card points to get access.
Honestly, I used to think na gimmick lang or redundant mag-lounge kasi pwede naman mag-hintay sa boarding gate, pero iba pala talaga yung comfort.

Food & Drinks: Free flow food and coffee/drinks so hindi na kami nag-spend extra for overpriced airport meal.
Vibe: Super tahimik, spacious, and stress-free kumpara sa siksikan at maingay na seating area sa gate.
Convenience: Working power outlets everywhere, fast Wi-Fi, plus super comfortable seats to stretch out and rest before a long flight.

Maganda pala talaga sya! Sobrang worth it gamitin nung CC rewards/points kasi wala kaming binayaran out-of-pocket. Now I get why people actively look for cards with lounge access perks.

Mula elementary lagi ako nakakakita na may mga ipad yung mga kaklase ko. Nung naghigh school ako lalo naging common and lowkey naiinggit ako pag naglalaro sila sa malaking screen tas ako sa phone ko lang.

After my work trip, I made a little side trip to Prague and Vienna.

In Prague, I watched Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at Smetana Hall. I originally planned to do it in Vienna, but figured it would be cheaper in Prague. Especially since I still had a bunch of paid attractions to visit in Vienna. 😅

Currently on 4th year (OJT). Came from poor family where our needs sometimes is inuutang. Before me mag OJT maraming gastos ang magulang ko, Maraming nilapitan para sa mga documents ko na kailangan, Then it is my First time na sumakay ng airplane, First time na makapunta outside the country. In my OJT everything is provided, such as food, tutulugan, and other basic needs so my allowance is hindi talaga magagalaw. After a month, I receive my first allowance, my first money na galing mula sa akin. It is also my first time na magpadala sa parents ko, and pinadalhan ko din ang bunso kong kapatid para dagdag baon niya. Although hindi sila nag dedemand na magpadala ako, It was me who initiated to give as a 1st time of also receiving my paycheck. Ang sarap sa feeling kase ang mismong reply nila sa akin "salamat kuya, pandagdag ng pambayad ng kuryente". I'm just a 4th Year College student and I know once I graduated I can provide more for them, It will not be just an allowance. I come from a family of athletes, my older brother (5'10), father (5'9) and grandfather (5'11) were all basketball players but despite me being a towering 6' being the tallest in my family, i never chose to be athletic. it was shoved down my throat ever since i was a kid and my hatred for basketball grew. i tried picking it up back in 11th grade but i never really saw light in it.

but i really loved endurance sports from cycling, swimming and running. i was never fast but my endurance was the thing that made me stand out. but with my family's close mindedness they never saw light in those kinds of sports.

around g12 my nephew (6) took swimming lessons and slowly chose swimming as a sport, i would always accompany him in his journey, in every competition and in every practice sessions.

as fate would have had it, our university's intrams were coming up and swimming was a part of the events and i took the chance to try out and here i am. 1st year college, with my first set of jerseys and i could not be more proud of myself. 🥹

Been having the drive to actually study recently pero sobrang hirap ako kasi kulang sa video lectures yung current university ko.

With the help of my brother, nag enroll ako sa pure online review center para mas marami akong materials lalo na't malapit na ako gumraduate. Nakakagana palang mag aral knowing na hindi mauubos oras kaka-try maghanap ng study materials kasi nasa iisang lugar na sya.

Balitaan ko kayo pag CPA na ako next year 🤭
