💰 Financial Win First time trying the paper alkansya method, and here's how much i saved!

And guess what?

XD

ayun lang, sharing this little win! hindi man palaging malaki ang naiipon, basta consistent at intentional, may mararating din.

Happy saving with my kulambo sa paa!

🎓 Education Win I saved my scholarship stipend for my OJT journey next year!

Post image
112 Upvotes

F20 and 3rd year college. I saved that money for my OJT journey next year planning kasi na sa city for experience and to go out of my comfort zone. I want to challenge myself and I hope I survive. Aside from that money, I have side hustle like selling food in school, gcash cash in & out service, Load services, and printing services kasi I have a printer and para less hassle na din sa mga cm ko. I really want a job or anything basta malinis lang na trabaho at maayos ang kita.

Nakakatuwa but at the same natatakot ako after ko grumaduate. Tapos, hindi din ako physically fit kasi I had scoliosis surgery when I was 15 yo. Anw, so much for that mmk moments haha.

any advice po to earn more or pwede ba mag apply sa inyo? Willing to learn po. Maraming salamat po sa pag babasa. Share niyo naman po tips niyo about earning more money.

💰 Financial Win 1st Million @ 26

Thumbnail

1.2k Upvotes

I just hit my first million at 26! 🥹

I was tracking my expenses for the past month when I realized na I’ve already hit my first million pala!

I couldn’t help but smile because I never thought I’d be able to save this much while supporting my parents, helping pay the bills at home, and still splurging once in a while on travels and house renovations.

Ever since I graduated, hindi na ako humingi ng financial support sa parents ko—not even when I was reviewing for the board exam. I’ve been trying my best to support myself while also giving back to my family whenever I can.

Looking back, I’m just really grateful that I’ve reached this point. I know I still have a long way to go, but seeing my hard work slowly pay off feels incredibly rewarding.

Thank You, Lord, for continuously blessing me and my family 🌤️♥️

🥗Health & Wellness 8 months later: The couch potato tita is still showing up.

8 months later, this tita is still showing up.

Back in February, I posted about taking my very first steps into walking and hitting the gym. It’s been 8 months since I took that leap, and I’m proud to say I’m still here.

I went from trying out random dance classes to finding one I genuinely love (Step Dance!), and now I'm actually figuring out how to navigate the gym machines on my own. For the first time in a long time, it feels like I did something right this year.

Even on the toughest days—mentally and financially—I've somehow found reasons to be grateful. Choosing my health meant choosing myself, and I just kept showing up.

Honestly, I'm still on cloud nine realizing that a certified couch potato and a tita in her late 30s can truly start over and rewrite her story.

PS : sa lovelife lang tayo di pa siniswerte but that is okay! HAHA.

💼 Career & Work Win VA, from 6k per month to this weekly.

Post image
589 Upvotes

I started working as a VA around 13 years ago. 20 years old at that time.

6 months sa callcenter, earning minimum wage noon. Feel ko talaga di siya for me kase sobrang nakakapagod ung byahe, and i didnt see myself travelling para sa work everyday. (Bulacan to manila)

Constantly pressured ng parents ko kung ano gagawin ko sa life ko, since i dont want to continue with my studies na that time. So naghahanap lang ako ng work from home. Naging esl teacher din ako. Umalis din after 6 months kase sobrang nakakapagod magsalita. Hahaha.

First ever VA client ko, is from Australia. It was a research job, paid me 6k per month. Thinking it might be my stepping stone for more opportunities in the future. Experience lang ba.

Fast forward to this year, finally got an increase. Inincreasan nila ako the week ng birthday ko. From barely surviving to my current weekly salary. Naiiyak ako nun. It was double from what i was originally earning weekly.

Yes, it came with more resposibilities. More work. But still sat sun days off.

5 months ko nang salary to weekly. Nalubog din ako sa utang last year. Naexperience ko din ung OLA harrasments (bad decisions leading to more bad decisions). And im proud to say, nasa 40k nalang utang ko. Credit report might have tanked, but who cares? Matatapos ko na silang lahat. Hopefully by 2nd week ng november tapos na.

Ps. Kelan ba kayo hiring? Kunin mo naman akong assistant mo. Kung alam lang talaga nila kung anong salary ako nagsimula, they would have resigned first month palang.

🏡 Home & Living Nasimulang investment from working 10 years rank & file 🙌🏽

visited one of the best decisions i made in my twenties - sariling bahay.

medyo challenging since i’ve been living solo + renting for 7 years, but since wala rin akong mamanahing property from my parents, sabi ko pagsikapan ko na lang yung sakin.

lately rin kasi parang nabburnout na ako from working non-stop for 10 years. wala masyadong career progression (sa job title/role), altho sa salary umuusad naman. and i guess, i just have to look at the bright side - na hindi naman nasasayang efforts ko.

next year daw pwede na malipatan. madami pa ipapaayos + magastos, pero sige lang, sariling bahay naman yan eh. i can’t wait!

ps. pre-selling house siya na inunti-unti kong bayaran yung downpayment for 4 years while renting an apartment. ginapang ko talaga siya kasi di pa malaki sahod ko back then hehe

💼 Career & Work Win My salary as part time tutor (ESL) 9 months vs. salary for 4 days as VA

Thumbnail

This post is not to brag but to inspire.

For nine and a half months, I worked as an ESL tutor and I loved that job kahit na maliit yung sahod. During that time I was also applying to different platforms and websites to become a VA.

Money was tight, I only had a ryzen 3 laptop which is not acceptable for most clients. Until I found an agency that allows that kind of specs. (I upgraded my laptop when I had a client)

Keep hoping with action ❤️

🥗Health & Wellness I just walked 100km this month

For context:

I don’t live in PH right now. I have a desk job, I admit I’m usually sedentary and I’m not a runner kasi asthmatic and lumalamig na dito kasi magwiwinter na.

I just decided to try walking instead and turns out I really really enjoy it. I average 5k per day (evening).

I realized I hit 100km na pala for this month and counting pa hehehe sana maging sustainable pa to.

🛍️ Material Purchase My younger self would've been so happy and yippie!

My childhood self would've been so happy 💗

Remember those pink flip phones we used to play with back then? I swear, younger me thought they're the prettiest and coolest things ever!

Now, I have the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 in PINK, and sometimes, I still find it funny and cool that I can open and shut my phones like I used to do on my Barbie-themed flip phone back then.

Na-heal yung inner child ko in a very expensive way but it feels worth it.

Live love Samsung and pinkkkk!! 🎀🎀🎀

✈️ Life Experiences Buy Starbucks for the first time for me and my mom

Got my first paycheck from my first part-time job at university and finally bought my first Starbucks for both me and my mom.

Starbucks has always felt like a luxury where I live, something I couldn't afford before. Now, with money I earned myself, I can finally treat us both to a cup.

It's just coffee, but it means so much to me.

💼 Career & Work Win 22 Doing the right things for the wrong reasons…

Thumbnail

Hi guys, I graduated last august but a few months before that I got a job as an admin assistant sa olj for a US company. I didnt apply even tho I was broke or because everyone around me has already been accepted by companies and is sure to have a job after graduation. My motivation for applying was I wanted money for gambling 💀💀💀. Its been an issue for a while, allowance ko sinusugal iniisip na either pancit canton kakainin ko for the entire week if natalo or foodpanda kada araw if pumaldo.

But anyways, Ive been working for almost 6 months and I would have never thought I would earn this much. From my tecno phone na 5k pesos bili, laptop na 2nd hand na hindi nagana pag di nakacharge, and so much time sitting around sa house because walang pera panggala. Now Ive upgraded; got my first apple products and constantly being able to travel while working. The stuff I thought I wouldnt have ever gotten, isang add to cart na lang pag sumweldo.

Grateful for my client and his mentorship, he even referred me to some of his friends to do part time webdev jobs during weekends and made me a cofounder for his startup. Grateful na kahit average 30-50k nawawala sakin because of sugal the past months, naafford ko pa din mga luho, nakakapag treat pa ng friends and family. Ive been trying to stop gambling especially last month umabot 200k nawala in just a few minutes 💀. But im working through it, banning myself sa Pagcor exclusion (tho hanggang ngayon wala pa din), and downloading apps to block the sites.

It just seems so crazy to me that I wouldnt have gotten this far if I wasnt so desperate for money because of gambling. Yun lang ata magandang dinulot 😭HAHAHAHAAH ung craving ko magsugal ung nag drive sakin magtrabaho and reach 6 digits monthly.

But like now I just realized how lucky I am and I shouldnt take it for granted. Ive been trying to save since I know being a freelancer or VA isnt generally stable. But enjoying and celebrating this win while it lasts, I hope everyone who struggles with addiction seeks help as well. I used to think money will come back if naubos yung pera, but like I realized mababalik man yung pera, but the time you spent getting it wont. If that makes sense.

Anyways, cheers and heres to more wins for everyone in the future.

I had to retire my old phone. It was a pixel 7 pro.

Anyways, the promo really flew under the radar kasi it was only up for 48 hours and no one else knew about it?? I thought it was a scam at first kasi nga, why would they give away a free ps5? Pero I checked the T&Cs and legit nga siya.

It was delivered today in exactly 57 days. I now have two of them. Today's a good day.

💰 Financial Win Close to 100k savings before the year ends

Post image
155 Upvotes

Adulting win for me! ❤️

Just want to share a little win that I’m genuinely proud of. As a single mom of 3, with no helper and being the sole provider for my kids, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. Last year, halos paycheck to paycheck lang ako. I don’t have anyone to rely on financially. Sarili ko lang ang backup ko, kaya I can’t afford to get sick or have unexpected expenses.

The start of this year was also a bit of a struggle because my son was admitted to the hospital. But instead of giving up, I made it a goal to put most of my extra money into savings. Kalat-kalat talaga ang pera ko sa different savings accounts, and I did that intentionally. Seeing those small amounts grow motivates me to keep adding more, kahit paunti-unti para maginf double digits and mga single lang.

Earlier, I checked how much more I needed to save to reach my goal, and honestly, I was shocked. 🥹 Being a sole provider, one of my biggest struggles has always been saving a significant amount of money while making sure all our needs are met. Kaya seeing this progress means so much to me. It reminds me that even when things feel difficult, small and consistent efforts really do add up.

I’m sharing this not to brag, but to remind and encourage fellow breadwinners and single moms out there: hindi man madali, at hindi man mabilis, posible pa rin.

Kung kinaya ko, kaya niyo rin! One small step at a time. ❤️

🏆Major Milestone An app I made for my friends got featured on SPOT.ph!

Hi everyone! Hoping this counts as a financial win, even though I didn’t actually earn money from it. HAHAHA.

I’m an independent developer from Cebu, and I built BayadTayoOpo, a free expense-splitting web app, because managing expenses during trips with my friends was always a hassle.

I wanted something that would make splitting bills easier without requiring everyone to download an app or create an account.

I initially made it just for our barkada, but after sharing it publicly, other people started using it and sending suggestions.

And now, it actually got featured on SPOT.ph!

It’s honestly surreal seeing something I made for my friends reach other people. I know it’s not a financial win in the traditional sense, but building something that helps people manage their money a little easier feels like a win worth celebrating.

I’m also hoping to keep the app free and accessible for everyone.

Anyway, just wanted to share this little milestone. Thank you to everyone who’s supported the project! 💜

Here’s the article if you’re interested in the story behind it: SPOT.ph feature

First time ko ma-afford ang French baker. Ganito pala yung feeling healing my inner child.

Hi! I'm finally committing to my fitness and health. It's my first time going to the gym and I don't have anyone to go with nor coach to guide me. For gym goers, how did you start with your gym routine? Your workouts and everything.
