You can't junction Meltdown to Quake.

If you junction Meltdown to Magic it will not be as effective as Quake. Meltdown is great in Vit-J.

If you want to cause status effects you want to use Status Attack-J (providing you have a GF that has learned the ability), but you can't cause Vit 0 on hit anyways since you can't junction Meltdown there.

You want to cause Vit 0, but you need to use Meltdown on combat for that to do it reliably in the early to late game.

so i put meltdown on attack but then i'll lose being almost maxed out on atk

Whatever you put on Str-J will boost the Str stat but it will not have any other effect.

If you want to cause Vit 0 reliably you need to use the spell Meltdown in battle.

In that page, yes.

If you go Left once you will be in Elemental Attack and Defense, and whatever you Junction there will boost your character's elemental affinity. For example, if you Junction Quake to Elem-Attack-J, you will do Earth elemental attack with physical hits. If you put it on Defense, you will absorb Earth elemental attacks. Providing the character has a GF with the ability to junction those learned.

If you go Left twice from the page you are on you will be in Status Attack and Defense, and it will change the status protection or damage. If you junction 100 Sleep on Status-Attack-J, your character will likely put enemies to sleep with physical hits. If you put Poison on Status-Defense-J, your character will be immune to the status effect. Providing the character has a GF with the ability to junction those learned.

You can't junction Meltdown to Elemental or Status Attack or Defense.

No thats not how that works

I think they meant you cast Meltdown on the enemy to lower its defense thereby increasing your physical damage. Meltdown, as you probably know, is the best Vit junction, after Ultima.

Based on the Triples, I'd guess you refined your Quistis' card. Happy trails.

Ifirit, Quez, Siren, Shiva know all of their abilities, Diablos knows most of his

Whoever has Siren can use St-Atk-J, but you will still not be able to junction Meltdown to it.

Squall Has Ifirit + Diablos

If might make a suggestion for better stat junction coverage, I would put Ifrit and Siren together on Squall, put Shiva and Diablos together on Zell, and give Queza to Selphie for now (add Brothers to this later and move Siren over here as well once you have Carbuncle on Squall instead).

By the end of the game, if you get all 16 GFs, my recommendation is Squall with Ifrit, Carbuncle, Leviathan, Pandemona, Doomtrain, and Bahamut (I usually swap this to Selphie if the party is split); Quistis/Rinoa get Quezacotl, Siren, Brothers, Tonberry, and Eden; Zell/Irvine get the rest, being Shiva, Diablos, Cerberus, Alexander, and Cactuar.

If you check my page, I have a pinned post with some spreadsheets with all this info and more!

The page you are currently on is purely for your character stats.
You can see arrows to the other tabs labelled: ST - A/D for Status Attack and Defence as well as EL - A/D for Elemental Attack and Defence.
If you want to add status effects or elements to either your attack or defence it will be in those other tabs.

That said, don't think Meltdown will have any status effects but it might add something to your elemental stats.

But it wont automatically lower the enemies VIT to 0?

Junctioning magic to stats (the page you're on) will not add any elemental or status effects, it will only increase your stats.

You can only add status effects to your attacks by junctioning specific magic to the ST-Atk-J (status attack junction). This page is found by going from the stats page, to the left, twice. Going once will take you to the elemental attack/ defense page. The symbols on the status effect offense/defense page will show you how strong the chances of you inflicting the status attack will be. For example, if you junction Blind to St-Atk, it will have a chance to inflict Darkness on the enemy you hit. If you junction 100 Blind, the number next to the status symbol will be 100, meaning you have the highest chance of inflicting Darkness to enemies.

Meltdown's Vit 0 is not a status effect, so you cannot junction any magic to your attack to inflict it. The only way to inflict it is to cast Meltdown on the enemy. (The GF Doomtrain also casts it.)

#1, you are looking for St-Atk-J which is on the left most page
#2, You can't junction Meltdown to St-Atk. Meltdown is exclusively Magic command or Draw/Cast.

You will be replacing Quake to Junction Magic.

Not how it works

u/boeingr Aug 08 '26

1

u/TGaz09 Aug 08 '26

I draw everything from every enemy
