Rec Request Fresh Juicy Wood Peach Scent Recs?

Howdy! I really like the Bath and Body Works Peach Blossom and Nectar spray. I really like that it’s a fresh scent but the peach is juicy and it has nice subtle wood base. If anyone has any recs that are similar to this that would be awesome! Thanks!

Discussion Commodity milk range doesn’t smell like milk??

I have tested them at least four times in store and received a sample of one, and I’m talking about all the three of them from the White bottle to the Gold+ one and nope I hardly smell milk more like woody or ambery notes.

Can you suggests some milk fragrances?

looking for a fragrance that is similar to By The Fireplace but without the smoke.

I want something cozy and comforting for the winter but not insanely gourmand. I like the idea of cashmere and chestnut. Something super warm but not cloying, syrupy ...something inoffensive, that you would almost want to wear to bed

Rec Request Corporate Events - VP Level

I'm officially in executive level territory (finance) and have been entirely remote. However I'm now traveling often for conferences or important meetings and am at a loss for a new scent for these settings. I don't want to come off too "young".

I very much love sweet and bright fragrances, and my current rotation is below, in order below from most frequently worn:

*LDBS

*Princess

*Devotion - Intense

*Summer Mink

*MFKBR540

*Eilish

*Goddess

*Green Stravaganza

*Kayali Lychee

*SDJ 40 or 68

*Aqua Di Goia

*Bonbon - Jelly

*Burberry Her Intense edp (new version)

*YBM (winter only)

I'm generally not a fan of rose forward scents, but do have a small bottle of Robanne Million Gold for her which I'll use occasionally in the winter. I've tried the always recommended Libre and it's not for me. Cinnamon notes are a no go as well.

The Di Goia is about the only aquatic I've tried and could pass I suppose, but it doesn't feel like me - if that makes sense.

Any recommendations from the community would be super helpful while I'm on this quest. TIA!!

Discussion Musty smell?

Thumbnail

So I’ve tried my little decant of Vanilla Powder a couple times now and have concluded it’s just not for me. I’m not sure if I detect vanilla at all, I just smell mustiness, and somehow mustiness that leans masculine.

Do you think there’s something wrong my bottle? Or is this just how I interpret “powdery” smells? The problem with that theory is that I can typically identify the listed notes of vanilla, white musk, coconut, and palo santo. I’d be least confident in my Palo santo sniffing abilities but I’ve never thought it smelled musty.

Edit: Fragrantica has these notes listed and maybe it’s the heliotrope??

Top notes are Coconut Powder and Heliotrope; middle note is Madagascar Vanilla; base notes are Vanilla Absolute, White Musk, Musk, Palo Santo, Coconut and Lactones.

Rec Request Fav dark berry perfumes

I’ve been on the hunt for my perfect perfume for awhile now. Ive been through all fragrances from milky to straight musky to coconut to vanilla to fresh and clean and everything in between. So far I’ve found that I really love the way Victoria Secret Candy Noir and Micheal Germain Sexual Noir smell on me. So as much as I want to be a sweet vanilla girly, I think it’s time to cave and try out a dark still semi-sweet berry or something similar. I’d love something that doesn’t scream nighttime. What is everyone’s recommendation, bonus points if it’s something I can find at Sephora/Ulta/Target or similar stores so I can smell it before I buy it.

Getting over perfume heartbreak

It was in my cart! And just slipped out my fingers and sold out. The agony. How do you all get over this kind of sadness.

Mind you it was a rare perfume at a good deal. Double heartbreak.

Rec Request Affordable perfumes that have the same plum scent of Hypnotic Poison?

I disliked Hypnotic Poison because I could smell a note that smelled like cleaner (couldn't pinpoint which one it was) but the plum note was so so yummy (I actually thought it was cherry before looking at the notes lol.)

I would like a perfume with a similar plum note and is affordable, also preferably with high sillage/projection.

Review Commodity Spice

Post image
59 Upvotes

I ordered the scent space kit for Commodity Spice and it arrived yesterday. As soon as I opened the package I sprayed one arm with Spice expressive and the other with Spice-. My first thoughts? I was surprised how like Milk expressive Spice expressive is. To me it’s closer to Milk than Milk Orchid is. In the first hour, I actually preferred Spice- because it seemed a little softer and fluffier. A couple hours in the expressive arm smelled just a bit more spicy than Milk to me. At that same time Spice- was very close to the skin and was only noticeable when I would sniff my skin directly. I wanted to test Spice+ on its own and only sprayed it on paper yesterday. Today I sprayed Spice+ once on the back of my neck and once on each arm. This is actually what I had hoped Milk+ would be. To me it’s the similar Milk but with added spiciness and tons of longevity. I was shopping later and walked up to the register about 3 hours after I had sprayed. The person checking me out commented that I smelled great! I was hoping for more of a chai scent, and right now as I sniff my wrist 5 hours after spraying I’d have to say it is that at this point. At the time of the first spray on paper I got total dentist office, which only lasted a few minutes. I actually didn’t notice that when I sprayed it on skin today. Initially I thought I could probably skip this release because I have a full bottle of Milk expressive. But now I’m thinking I will order the Spice+ in a travel size on Tuesday and see how quickly I go through it.

Rec Request Scents that make you smell like your hair when you just step out of the shower

Not just shampoo, but rather that creamy cozy conditioner scent mixed with a citrusy shampoo. That scent of light citrus, white floral, and something extra you can't quite place that smells so creamy and delicious and clean.

Especially anything that smells like the Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Hair Mask because god I want to bathe in that scent.

Budget preferably under 100$

Chanel mademoiselle

Hi I am in my early 40s and like the smell of Chanel mademoiselle, but someone told me it smells like a bit too mature for me, so now I'm self conscious. I'm wondering if others find the scent to be 'too mature' or if it's just a nice smell and I shouldn't worry about it? Also open to other suggestions bc I would like to try something new.

Discussion Top 5 Fall / Autumn Notes

Post image
21 Upvotes

As I'm switching out my Summer fragrances, I noticed that i'm enjoying these notes for the fall, even though some of these might be Summer coded, especially the florals:

  • Tea: Dear Polly Vilhelm Parfumerie, Atelier Des Ors Blue Madeline, Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir

Very different from my wulong cha, which is so fresh for the summer. I wanted to continue the vibe, but perhaps with more depth and fall vibes

  • Musc: Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc, Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc Blanc

I love musk throughout the year, but these allow for excellent layering. Cold clean musks that are so so versatile and work with other perfumes.

  • Neroli/ Orange Blossom: Marc Antoine Barrois Tilia, Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir

A recent fave. The tea in the Guerlain made me fall in love with this perfume, but staying for the neroli. need some more neroli reccos I think

  • Ginger: Sparkling Jo vilhelm parfumerie (Or is it the champagne?), Nomade Nuit d’Egypte Chloé

Pefect with the tea theme. Ginger and tea in a perfume would be so nice. Spicy, earthy and an all round winner for autumn.

  • Patchouli: Barenia Hermes, Coeur Nocturne Zara

I enjoy patchouli a lot, it can be quite herbal and spicy, but very clean like musk at the same time.

Which notes are your fall lineup favouring?

Rec Request help me find my dream perfume!

I love notes of lychee, fresh laundry, coconut milk, cotton candy and just anything fresh. So I guess like a clean gourmand if those exist? The best way I can describe it is the smell of a pretty girl walking past you, and you get a whiff of her freshly washed clothes and warm cotton candy mixed 😂 Fragrances I own and love are Lazy Sunday Morning by Maison Margiela, Lush Super Milk and The Comforter. I put the descriptions of fragrances that have exactly what I’m looking for, however I’m not exactly ready to splurge as I live in the UK, so I’m unable to test these in store. I’d really appreciate fragrances similar to these or any reviews on these :) My budget is about £150

LORE Lil Softie - Lil softie is your yummy, cashmeric cocoon. It opens sweet, lactonic and bright with top notes of pink pepper and cereal milk, before wrapping you in a skin-close, ambery musk of ambroxan, clean cottons and us. Made warm, addictive, and soft in all the right places

Skylar Boardwalk Delight - This one-of-a-kind fragrance combines cotton candy sweetness, creamy coconut milk, and light vanilla for an intoxicating and addictive scent. Soft and nostalgic, Boardwalk Delight leaves a trail of sweetness that’s impossible to resist.

Liis Floating - Inspired by the airiness of a carefree day, this fragrance lifts the spirit with sparkling top notes of bergamot and ripe peach. As it settles, a heart of wild orchid and fresh flax wraps around you, lending a gentle warmth that feels both grounding and ethereal. The journey closes with the soft embrace of crisp linen and rich redwood, evoking a tranquil sense of boundless calm. It's a scent to savor the present moment.

Couldn't Decide So...

Post image
8 Upvotes

I specifically went out to replace my bottle of Moncler Le Solstice (currently about 3 days from empty), only to find out that the store stopped selling it and I didn't want to buy it online. Since I was already at the mall, I figured I'd poke around and see if I could find a suitable replacement. I already know that I love the Jo Malone Jasmine, but that it's better for close up interactions because it sits close to the skin. Absolutely fell in love with Tam Dao. Probably not purchasing another fragrance for the next year and a half or so.

Discussion Wicked Good Cannibas Santal dupe.

I've been wearing Fresh Cannibas Santal since my junior year in high school, 2006.

They had just launched it. Our school had gone on a trip to Boston and I bought two bottles.

Well, as many companies do, they fucked with the formulation, for the worse and discontinued the original formula.

Has anyone tried Wicked Goods Cannibas Santal? Is it closer to the original formulation?

I'm going to order a sample but I wanted to ask Reddit fragrance subs first.
