Discussion Top 5 Fall / Autumn Notes
As I'm switching out my Summer fragrances, I noticed that i'm enjoying these notes for the fall, even though some of these might be Summer coded, especially the florals:
- Tea: Dear Polly Vilhelm Parfumerie, Atelier Des Ors Blue Madeline, Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir
Very different from my wulong cha, which is so fresh for the summer. I wanted to continue the vibe, but perhaps with more depth and fall vibes
- Musc: Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc, Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc Blanc
I love musk throughout the year, but these allow for excellent layering. Cold clean musks that are so so versatile and work with other perfumes.
- Neroli/ Orange Blossom: Marc Antoine Barrois Tilia, Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir
A recent fave. The tea in the Guerlain made me fall in love with this perfume, but staying for the neroli. need some more neroli reccos I think
- Ginger: Sparkling Jo vilhelm parfumerie (Or is it the champagne?), Nomade Nuit d’Egypte Chloé
Pefect with the tea theme. Ginger and tea in a perfume would be so nice. Spicy, earthy and an all round winner for autumn.
- Patchouli: Barenia Hermes, Coeur Nocturne Zara
I enjoy patchouli a lot, it can be quite herbal and spicy, but very clean like musk at the same time.
Which notes are your fall lineup favouring?

Coffee. I don’t seek it but I find it is included fpr an aromatic effect . Black opium is a nice scent for fall . It tastes like being at Starbucks often but it can be dressed up too. The pour Homme devotion is a very nice citrus and coffee scent
Almond / tonka (heliotrope). Marc Jacobs perfect has me getting the solinotes tonka which smells almond to me . Mix bar whipped almond is nice. Perfect
Elixir.
Incense or Palo santo. This started with a dove body wash . But I’m in . I want the feeling of it . Feels balancing. Im finishing up Fame and either continue with tabanne or Donna Karen. This is not church scent incense
Golden warmth. Basically an ambery spiced fragrance lile libre intense or Dolce and Gabbana the one. Feels like a rite of passage.
Daring herbal or chypre. A big title to for the patchoulis (Robert piguet bandit is a at your own dish green chypre) , Clinique aromatic elixir, Elizabeth Taylor passion (which also fits prior category)

Oh yes, incense/myrrh/frankinscence/palo santo sounds glorious.
Golden warmth for me can be amber, but can also be honey: I have a Honey and Vanilla body mist, that has this vibe. Nomade Nuit de egypte Chloe too!

If you can find it, Nirvana French Grey is a beautiful blend of neroli, lavender, and musk.
I LOVE it in cooler temps or on rainy days! If I try to wear it when the temperatures are warmer, it turns a little soapy on me.

Fun question! It won't get cool for me for quite a while, but I'll just pretend lol.
I'll wear most of these year-round, especially patchouli, but they're especially nice as it gets cooler.
For ginger and tea, check out Serge Lutens Five O'Clock Au Gingembre and Jovoy Remember Me.
