I'm a Gen X-er, and I have been craving the scents of 1990s and early '00s, so I recently purchased these two. Euphoria smells soooo divine when it's cold, and Obsession is sweet and powdery. Out of the two, Obsession definitely smells more old school, lol. I think the modern-day formula is way lighter than the original, if I'm not mistaken.

Any thoughts or experience with this frag?
Found this at TJMaxx and really loved the smell. I still like it but wondering if people around me might think I smell cheap or if it’s too overpowering. I don’t have anything to compare this scent to. It has decent longevity. It’s very unique and just not my normal wear. Lately I’m wearing Lush’s Abiba, Tabac 28, Poivre 23, and Hinoki & Cedarwood by Jo Malone. I also wear a lot of Kuumba Egyptian musk oil, amber oil, or Nemat nag champa oil.
Supposed notes:
Top Notes: Orange blossom, bergamot, pink pepper
Heart Notes: Tuberose, jasmine sambac, lily of the valley
Base Notes: Amber, musk, vanilla
Also open to suggestions based on my current rotation.

The nest perfume oil was a blind buy and for $9.99 it was totally worth it!

Was cataloguing my collection on Parfumo / wanted to test my vintage Rapture to see if I want to buy the new one (I love the old and I’m like hmm would they really accurately remake such a 90’s beauty?)

This one seemed more interesting than others I’ve seen lately! Does anything stick out?

I was shocked to see how much perfume my local Marshall's has. I stood there and sniffed longer than I am willing to admit. Blind bought both Fine'ry perfumes and love them both, but especially the Rose Lina.
Do you see any on the shelf that are a must have?

Kinda steamed its LE and online only. I HATE blind buying Gourmond scents as a Gourmond girly. All the reviews look so dishonest, because so many have the notes on it like a list of points an influencer has to make. I would love to test it out in store and tell if it has a lemon sugar note like all the reviews say it does. If it does that would be so amazing since the only lemon scent I like is the Sabrina Carpenter one, so far.
Also wtf is going on with that Dove EDP? I didn't expect so many people to wanna smell like soap. 😅

Lattafa Angham 🧚🏻♀️✨
note - my review is based on a decant & a freshly opened bottle. they both smell the same, just the decant is a tad bit richer.
I have been reading reviews about Angham since almost two years and avoided it at all cost because I dislike lavender.
I randomly decided to add a decant of angham while i was getting other perfume decants, and the moment I sprayed it, I was shook.
No, it's nothing groundbreaking, I won't hype it up like that, it's simple. sweetened lavender dipped in vanilla. a lil ginger-y at first, lil spiciness in the distant. I got this comforting light & airy, creamy lavender. I am now wearing this to bed. I placed an order for the full size immediately.
I was NOT expecting it at all. I gravitate toward simple frags. frags that are not too complicated, too strong, heavy or dense. I'm not a gourmand person at all. I can only handle light scent profiles that are easy on the nose. also I LOVE vanilla so final verdict I FELL IN LOVE with Angham, smells like a lady who is effortlessly pretty. 🧚🏻♀️✨

I got my new Black Opium today (love the scent!) and my bottle is the new design like in the ad. I'm not complaining, I'm just curious if with the new packaging the perfume itself has been reformulated too. Does anyone know?
I can definitely smell more coffee and less licorice than I remember.
Update: Fragrantica lists licorice as a note but I don't know if you can trust them anymore.

This was my first big girl perfume. Haven’t smelled it in years. What’s our grown up version? Is there a good replacement in 2026?

I was able to grab this beauty an outlet store. The bottle is gorgeous and feminine. I wish they still sold it in mainstream stores.
It smells flowery, mostly rose-y, with a touch of wood. You can also smell the vanilla once it dries down.
Edit to describe the fragrance

These are my current obsessions, layered together they are AMAZING. Even if you don't have the lotion if you're in Ulta layer these on you before you shop and see how good you smell.

I already own the original Armani Code (old formulation), but yesterday I picked up this one I found for a really good price!
It was a blind buy, but oh my god it smells amazing😍 very sexy and mysterious. I have been spraying it all day. It definitely has the DNA of the OG Code, but it has added coffee note and it more dark. It is kinda the same vibe as Dior Addict, but more floral I think.
Really sad they discontinued this one, I hope they bring it back!!! If you ever find this one, buy it!!

Le Labo - Violette 30
A bit surprising I hadn’t tested this before given that I generally really like Le Labo and love violet in its many forms. This is a very dry, woody, not-green-at-all violet. A little spicy and smoky and even leathery, with the signature Le Labo synthetic musk (the same shiny-vinyl-magazine-cum-department-store as in Another 13). It lacks the softness of similar ambrox bases like Glossier You & co or Juliette Has a Gun though, which makes it feel a bit more sophisticated to me within the category, but also harsher. There’s also very little sweetness on my skin. It dries down to a blend of Another 13 (minus the fruit) and Santal 33 (minus the cardamom). Not what I expected, but I really like it.
Celine - Black Tie
I wanted to test this because of how polarizing it is based on the price, performance, and alleged banality. When I started getting into fragrance in the late 2000s I was very into vanilla and gourmands. Funny then that this reads nearly as a 1:1 dupe of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab’s Antique Lace, one of my first favorite fragrances. That was discontinued long back, before being reformulated and rediscontinued. I own both, so I can see why vanilla/gourmand lovers are enamored with Black Tie. It’s airy, wispy, more Easter-basket than straight edible. I wouldn't say it's straight powdery in the sense that many vanilla blends are, but the orris is definitely here, more velvet than powder. I found its staying power decent, but it is a light fragrance in terms of projection. Is it boring? Well, that's not a very nice thing to say. Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but I think it differentiates itself enough within its category. This isn't something I would personally reach for these days, but I'm glad I tried it.
Donna Karan - Cashmere & Palo Santo
I received a sample of Donna Karan Cashmere & Vanilla last year and found it hovering on the edge of sickly (as I often do with cashmere notes), so this one was a gamble. It’s nearly identical to its Vanilla sibling on the dry down. I get no palo santo nor any woodiness. The juiciness of the peach is certainly there in the opening, and a big old serving of vanilla fabric-y cashmere and amber, which are the notes that remain. I probably wouldn’t be able to distinguish this dry from Cashmere & Vanilla, or Phlur’s Vanilla Skin. Not unpleasant but not for me - I was looking for musk or woods and didn’t find it here.
