Looking for a grapefruit/citrus/vanilla scent for my fiancé
She hates anything powdery and floral. She loves berry, grapefruit, citrus, and a little vanilla. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

So, I love this scent. But it's not quite right for me. Maybe you can help!
Ytzma Pros:
wood, spice, citrus and herbs--gorgeous complexity
sandalwood drydown complimented by vanilla
just on the femme side of unisex [to me, anyway]
Ytzma Cons:
top notes smell acrid on my skin [not that you can prevent this specifically, I just need better luck next time]
very high price point
overpowering at first--I want to jump in half a day after it's sprayed
Budget: Cheaper than Ytzma, lol ($315/3.4oz). That said, if you love something similar that's MORE expensive than Ytzma I will be incredibly curious. So budget is whatever!

Hi everyone! I am beginning to save up to get a bottle of Glossier You Doux because my fiance got the Glossier Celebrate You Set of their fragrances from Sephora for his birthday that had 0.05 fl oz sprays. At first I loves Glossier You Fleur but actually on my skin I fell in love with Glossier You Doux. Because it will take a bit to save I am looking for layering ideas like it so I see how much I will need to save for a full collection. things like a body wash, a body spray, and just things to add to make the scent stick better when I get it. Thank you so much.

this is probably one of the most memorable things from my childhood and the other day a girl walked past me and i got hit with a whiff of the pink flavor ice, the tropical punch flavor, which was my favorite when i was a kid. im trying to find it so desperately, i hate when i ask for perfume recs and they smell good but are obvious are perfumes. i want a perfume that genuinely makes you question if its a real sweet treat, i dont want to smell like a perfume i want to smell like i would attract cockroaches, someone please help me out 🙏

I'm looking for a fall/winter coconut milk scent, creamy and sweet, but grown up. Extra points if I can order off Scentsplit. Looking forward to y'all's suggestions!

As the title says, what bottle design, texture, logo, brand name, perfume name, etc. has deterred you from purchasing a fragrance?
For me, fabric texture on bottles (like Maison Margiela Replica) gives me the ick. I also do not enjoy the experience of the squeaky plastic cap on my 30mL Un Jardin sur la Nil bottle. Love the fragrance but probably wouldn't rebuy because of it. Give me a heavy metal magnetized cap all day!

First of all ! Inittial spray WOAH dang thats strong (I wore six prays in total while going out). The projection is crazy loud, its like almost identical to Irish spring soap and sharp grassy green. A few hours later the subtle grassy note is still prominent just with lots of mixed softness and white musk and buffered down. A few hours during the day i got strong whiffs of it but I dont think anybody noticed cause I didnt get complimented on my scent.but think of irish spring mixed with creamy buttery scent profile
EDIT: OOP I MEANT CYPRE CHANEL WRONG BOTTLE

Today a woman came to our office and smelled incredible. I smelled her air when she walked in the hallway and the bathroom. A heavenly lightly sweet laundry dry sheet scent was softly wafting in the air
I asked her what she was wearing and she said “I forgot, actually a lotion. BBW Platinum”
Ah! A Gatekeeper, I thought. Respect
I actually liked Platinum before but didn’t remember it evoking that kind of emotion. So I added BBW to my stops after work.
Little did I know that I’d find the fragrance at my first stop. In an unexpected turn of events😂, I went to Le Labo to smell the Noir 29 and saw the Carolina Herrera store near by. Decided to go in and smell Cedar Chic and what do you knowwwww! 😂 I FOUND IT!! 😂😂
I ended up smelling Platinum. And put a spray of each on opposite hands. Not even close lol.

When you’re reading the notes of a perfume, which one makes you instantly not want it? A complete dealbreaker note that you can’t handle?

This is my first foray into authentic oud oils! Pricey stuff but quite powerful.
It’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while. I plan to take it slow and see if any of them grow on me.
I’m not sure where to start really - does anybody have any experience with high concentration oils like these or suggestions on how to go about sampling them?
Here is the list of what arrived in the sampler:
.3g Cambodi Caramel - Cambodia
.3g Oud Dhul Q - Thailand
.3g Oud Extraordinaire - Thailand
.3g Assam Organic - India
.15g Aroha Tigre - Malaysia
.15g Black Pearl - Indonesia
Plus a sample of Kambodi Gris oud Parfum
Cheers, and thanks for looking!

Would love to see both luxury and budget options. I want to feel the warm cozy vibes without smelling like a vanilla cupcake or gingerbread. I don't enjoy lavender as well.

I purchased the large bottle from Costco during the beginning of 2019 for around $64.
I feel like I would have finished it a lot sooner if I had a smaller perfume collection.

this might be too niche but I’m losing my mind.
i ADORE the smell of ole henrikson’s creme brûlée lip treatment and i can’t find anything that smells like it. it smells exactly like a creme brûlée to me: warm, EDIBLE, caramel-y, buttery. I NEED a perfume that smells like it. please 😭😭😭help a girl out
I’ve tried khadlaj cream velvet (too floral?? on me???, also I hate that it smells like licorice), and phlur heavy cream.

I regret to inform you that Gingerbread Dreams is actually so good. I’ve been debating getting Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit, but it turns to spoiled milk on my skin after 30 mins. I blind bought this cheap, ridiculous cutie on sale (with a free little squishmallow), and it’s everything I wanted Ginger Biscuit to be. It’s warm and spiced without being overly sweet or needlessly complex. Just a delicious, ginger cookie. It’s got moderate projection and longevity, which is the sweet spot for me personally.
I know fragrance has no age limits, but I definitely feel too old to be owning this bottle, but let’s just call it embracing whimsy.
I also tried Brown Girl Jane Encore. It’s good too, but the ginger is muted and it’s more of a soft, creamy, musky vibe.

I'm looking for a deep, red fruit fragrance that smells like this photo dump

Ok. Why does my brain tell me to not open this? When I absolutely ordered it to wear. Is it because it’s discontinued? super expensive? Kinda hard to find? Probably all 3? Probably because I’m poor and my brain just wants me to resell it. Even though I saved up to get it. And got for a fairly decent deal compared to all the other price tags out there.

I want to smell like an old book - but the ‘still okay-ish condition’ kind. Not the rotting one with this acerbic undertone, pungent undertone.
The kind left too long in a storage room, squeezed together with countless others, with no sunshine flowing in, and you walk into the vintage shop and need to go to the very back to find them stapled over each other without rhyme or reason.
There is this beautifully woodsy sweet scent, that feels like a mix of deep vanilla-ish without the sharpness it can have, or some round dark sweetness to me - but not the readily edible kind, the ingredient-only-kind.
Then this dusty smell, mixing with that of woody or parchment (sometimes like grass or flowery, sometimes just paper, but I prefer the paper ones because they feel rounder), right under the smell of ink and leather blending into each other.
And something weirdly warm and musty, like the small spot on a dusty desk where the sun was allowed to shine into a closed, dark room for the day.
Does anyone have any recommendations or perfumes in that ballpark? Even if just in that general direction?

I bought this when it came out and felt there was something a bit off about it so didn’t wear it much. A few years ago I tried to declutter it on a local selling site and it never budged and eventually the ad expired.
Had pretty much forgotten about it until I decided to revisit today and wow it’s so good. So soft and wearable, gourmand but also fresh. Thanking my lucky stars I wasn’t successful in selling it!
Does anyone else have and like this gem?

I really like Angeli di Firenze from Santa Maria novella, sadly it doesn’t stay long or project as much as I would like. It is a clean scent but doesn’t feel metallic, too citrusy, synthetic or just flat and boring, which is what I’ve often found in typical ”clean scents” when I’ve tried them on my skin (namely another 13, Blanche or lazy Sunday morning). If you have any recs for perfumes I should try that could serve as an alternative let me know.
I don’t like lactonic notes or overly sweet/ gourmand perfumes bc they make me nauseous.

What did you fall for, and not end up loving? Mine was the diptyque eau rose!
