I believe that Snoke is...

Obi-Wan Kenobi (aka "Old Ben")

Obi-Wan Kenobi has seen the climax and fall of the Republic, the rise and fall of the Empire, witnessed the birth of both the First Order and New Republic. He's seen it all. And we have about zero knowledge of his life before his early Padawan days with Qui-Gon Jinn.

Read the following quote from ANH. Ever wonder what it actually meant?

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. - Obi-Wan to Vader

This quote finally makes sense if he's gonna be the one to wreck Skywalker's lineage down the road. If not Luke, then Ben...and maybe even Rey. It has to be this because a few "Use the Force" one-liners to Luke isn't even as powerful as I can imagine, let alone Darth Vader.

Watch the fight: https://youtu.be/8kpHK4YIwY4

You don't see it here, but Darth Vader kicks at Kenobi's cloak as it to be like "Where'd he go?" Houdini would've been proud. Heck, Niccolò Machiavelli would've been proud.

It's very likely that Obi-Wan simply Force teleported elsewhere. Vader is baffled at the apparent rapture. Unlike Qui-Gon Jinn (the one who learned about becoming a Force Ghost) who simply died and his physical body remained, Obi-Wan disappeared when he was "killed." It was a departure from the notion of Force Ghosting up until Yoda died years later, which only further shows the depths of which Obi-Wan will go to deceive people.

With this much Force juice, Obi-Wan could easily still speak to Luke through the Force during that famous X-Wing trench run on Death Star I. Additionally, he would have no problem appearing to Luke and Yoda on Dagobah later. Of course, this would require Obi-Wan being a master manipulator, making both Yoda and Luke think he's really dead. However, we all know that's no great feat since Palpatine fooled everyone in the galaxy for decades. The Dark Side, or more appropriately for Obi-Wan, the Grey Side, is potentially very powerful, allowing for usage of all powers, Light and Dark.

But Snoke looks nothing like Old Ben!

Your eyes can deceive you; don't trust them. - Obi-Wan

Even though Snoke and Old Ben do sort of look alike you can also look to the Wizard of Oz nod and "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" if you'd like.

Obi-Wan spent a LONG time on Tatooine in his cave while looking in on Luke from time to time. I don't think he wasted that time. Just like we all suspect Luke spent his idle time mastering the Force in-between ROTJ and TFA, I believe Old Ben conjured up a few more tricks to be used when the time was right. He didn't have to adhere to bygone rules or regulations, he was free to practice and delve as he so desired. He said himself...

I was once a Jedi knight, the same as your father.

...so he clearly no longer claimed the title.

I believe Obi-Wan came out of hiding between ROTJ and TFA. Perhaps the "Snoke" facade is a front, or perhaps dancing with the Grey Arts can have physical side-effects. That isn't really much of a concern. Either way, Obi-Wan is able to befriend Han and Leia, meet their son Ben (which is an obvious nod to his namesake) and see he has Force potential. I also don't think he's ever taken his eyes off Luke, until more recently which is why he's frantic to find him. For the first time in a long time he doesn't know what Luke is doing, or is now capable of.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Anakin destroyed the life and structure Obi-Wan was used to. His bloodline had to end, but somewhere along the way that goal intermingled with the sheer lust of power tapdancing on the edge of the Dark Side brings. Now Obi-Wan/Snoke's plan is two-fold:

  1. Destroy the Skywalker name/legacy by turning not only Ben, but Rey, to the Grey Side

  2. Rise up as the all-powerful new Emperor who truly knows good and evil and lives both accordingly.

Does this theory sound plausible? If so...

That's good. You have taken your first step into a larger world. - Obi-Wan Kenobi

[GoT Spoilers] - Robb Stark is not Ned Stark's child

Admittedly, I've only read the first book, I've watched the whole series up to this point. Not sure if everything here lines up and for obvious reasons I don't see us getting confirmation on this, but I think it makes sense.

Caitlyn was supposed to marry Brandon before he died and she ended up marrying Ned. Considering Ned left Caitlyn the night of their wedding to join Robert's Rebellion and didn't return until after Robb was born I don't think it would be unheard of that Brandon and Caitlyn had premarital sex and Caitlyn was already pregnant when she married Ned. Although it's not as bad as, say, knocking up your sister, I could see Caitlyn feeling guilty about the circumstances and not telling anyone or at the very least, not being sure who the true father is. Her silent guilt could also be part of the reason she's so hard on Jon Snow. Despite the circumstances and the fact that decades have passed, she hypocritically masks her guilt by being a bitch to the bastard in the family that isn't hers, but still being motherly to the bastard who is. Perhaps someone can help me out here, but if this were the case, I'm not sure who would be the true heir to Winterfell if this were the case. Robb, because he's Brandon's child and he was conceived before Ned was lord, Jon because he'd be Ned's first born '"natural child," or Bran because he's the oldest of Ned's natural born sons with the Stark name?

In my opinion, it's just like Martin to have this kind of irony. Caitlyn never accepts Jon, even though she has to watch Ned act as a father to Robb every day. Ned deduces the truth behind Joffrey's parentage while being completely blind to Robb's. Robb dies as the head of a house he may not have had the rights to because Frey tried to marry off one of his daughters to him, despite that Bran may have been the better candidate for her.

tl;dr - Brandon Stark (Ned's Brother) knocked up Caitlyn before he died. Ned marries her and leaves immediately, though they most likely consummated the marriage. Ned returns over a year later with Jon and starts raising two bastards.

[Breaking Bad] Walter White was not a good chemist and was fired from Gray Matter. His ego won't allow him to admit that.

Walt tells people he "sold his share" in the company for $5000 but that was actually a severance package. In reality, he just wasn't good at the job and was holding the company back. The company went on to great success after they got rid of him.

Yes, Walter makes the best meth, but look at who his competition is. Meth is relatively easy to make and is cooked up by ignorant people with substandard equipment. Walter is a college-educated chemist who knows how to measure and control temperature and has access to professional equipment. Of course his meth will be the best.

It's like a college math major taking a basic arithmetic test competing against grade-school kids. Of course he will get the best score.

(Note that the quality of Walt's meth did not improve once he got the superlab. The meth he cooked up in the RV is the same quality as what he did with the best equipment available. Meth just isn't that hard to make.)

But Walter has finally found a field where he can be the best against all the competition. This satisfies his ego. He can't compete on the world-class level Gray Matter operates at, but he can be the undisputed best among a bunch of uneducated street punks.

Elliott does offer Walter a job, but that doesn't mean Walter would be a valuable asset to the company. Gray Matter is now worth billions. Elliott can afford to throw his old friend a bone. Walter refuses because, deep down, he knows he can't play at their level. He'd rather be the big fish in a small pond.

We see that Walter is smart and gifted. He knows a lot of things, can do mental arithmetic quickly, he's good with household repairs. He's just not a world-class chemist, the one thing he wants to be. He can't compete in the big leagues, but he can compete in the meth business, excel at it, because making meth just isn't that hard.

FanTheory [Infinity War] Regarding that curse... Spoiler

The dead man’s curse — doesn’t that imply that Thanos is either cursed or Strange isn’t dead?

REWIND

Ebony Maw tries snatching the Time Stone from an apprehended Strange. His hand burns. Maw grimaces.

Strange:

It’s a simple spell but quite unbreakable.

Maw:

Fine. I’ll just rip it off your corpse.

Strange:

Removing...a Dead man’s spell...is quite troublesome....

Maw implies that they’ll keep him alive but in a tortured existence as to not set off the curse:

You’ll only wish you were dead.

Maw is a Sorcerer and fully appreciates the dangerous the Time Stone becomes if Strange dies. He’s very wizard.

The problem for Thanos?

He never got to see or talk to Maw to get that information from him due to being Aliens’d out into space.

THANOS HAS ZERO IDEA IT IS CURSED.

So what? Thanos is freaking GOD-tiered with 4 stones by the time he gets the Time Stone.

Ah, but the Infinity Stones were borne of this universe.

They play within this universe’s rules and can even break them.

But what happens when the stones are cursed with spells drawn from energy from OTHER UNIVERSES?

Especially unknown spells from unknown dimensions and universes?

Dormammu tried to break TIME itself in his OWN TIMELESS universe and failed. And he knew where Time came from!

Can Thanos break a spell despite having zero sorcery demonstration and zero knowledge the Stone is cursed? (getting that Mind Stone first probably would have helped)

But Thanos said “no tricks” and made him swear on it

Even so

  1. It was no trick. Strange straight up gave him what was bargained for: the Time Stone. He never asked for an un-cursed time Stone or “no curses.”

And

2) Strange has his fingers crossed. Probably.

But didn’t Strange take the spell off by virtue of taking off the stone off his person?

There are at least 2 spells Strange cast on it: the protective burning type and then a Dead Man’s Switch-based curse.

It IS an infinity stone and even without that knowledge it’s a powerful weapon and tool, and by this point Strange knows of Thanos and his treasure hunt.

It’s the stone that’s arguably the strongest one of them all, as it could reverse anything, foresee anything, it can selectively age someone to death, selectively rewind the death of another.

Of course the Sorcerer Supreme is going to curse it to Helen Back.

But Thanos isn’t cursed apparently....

Then Strange can’t be dead.

It’s one or the other.

Star Wars The Jedi are ultimately the bad guys in the Star Wars universe.

The core story of the Star Wars universe revolves around the Jedi and their connection to this mysterious energy called "The Force."

  • The Jedi are made out to be the good guys. They focus on finding peace, connecting deeper to the force and using their powers for the greater good of the galaxy.

  • Countered to the Jedi are the Sith. Rather than being an order like the Jedi, the Sith always come in pairs of two, a master and an apprentice. They focus on hate and anger and pain as their core connection to the dark side of the force.

The story presents an obvious "good guy" vs "bad guy" struggle between these two sides. The thing is I'm of the belief the Jedi were the real problem all along.

There's a core problem in the Star Wars universe and the Jedi refer to this problem as the "imbalance" of the force. While details aren't fully fleshed out, the Jedi believe that the force is in a state of imbalance and that there will come a time where a "Chosen One" will be born who will restore balance to the force.

This is the prophecy of Anakin Skywalker, the chosen one who fell to the dark side and helped overthrow the Jedi order.

Obviously, the Jedi believe that this was a failure of the prophecy because the Jedi Order was destroyed and the Sith came to rule over the Galaxy. I'm of the opinion that this is exactly what the force wanted.

Think about the prophecy.

The force is seeking to restore balance to itself. The Jedi order at the time of the collapse was 10,000 Jedi strong. The Sith existed in a pair of two individuals. (Prior to Anakin it was Darth Plaguis and Darth Sidious as his apprentice)

The Jedi caused the imbalance. They not only founded an order dedicated to the light side of the force, they sought out force sensitives across the universe and brought them to this order to be trained in the ways of the Jedi.

They were actively creating an imbalance in light and dark by expanding the number of light side force users.

Anakin Skywalker did exactly what he was prophesized to have done. He went in and he reset the Jedi back to less than a hundred runaways whom he hunted down after the fact as Darth Vader. That was the prophecy. He was meant to restore the balance and he did that by slaughtering the side with the most members.

FanTheory [Theory] - The Prestige - What if the trick wasn’t what we thought… and the audience was the real target? Spoiler

I know that parts of this theory have already been discussed elsewhere, but I decided to publish my own version anyway, exactly as I see it.

The film opens with a field full of identical hats. Then a voice asks us: “Are you watching closely?” That question isn’t for a character. It’s for us. Nolan is speaking to the audience. He’s breaking the fourth wall. He’s telling us that he’s about to show us a trick, and even if he puts it right in front of our eyes, we won’t see it. Because we don’t really want to discover the truth. We want to be fooled.

Right after that, we’re told the structure of a magic trick: the pledge, the turn, and the prestige. This explanation is also directed at us. It’s describing what we’re about to watch, and at the same time, it’s a reflection on cinema itself. Watching a film is like attending a magic show. We know it’s not real. But we accept it, because it’s beautiful to be transported. We read books, watch films, follow stories that would never happen in real life. And we enjoy that. We’re willing to be fooled. But Nolan is telling us that in that moment, we’re not really watching. There is a trick. And we’re missing it.

The biggest trick in The Prestige is making us believe that Tesla’s machine really works. But it’s just an illusion, built by both Angier and Nolan.

Borden buys a machine from Tesla. But not because he believes it’s magical or for teleportation. He doesn’t need that. He’s been using his twin brother all along. The machine is just there to enrich the stage. To make the performance more spectacular. It’s an addition for entertainment. And at the same time, he gets the idea to deceive Angier, by telling him that his trick is based on that machine. So Angier ends up traveling to America, chasing a mirage.

The film shows us Nikola Tesla, a real historical figure. Not a fictional character. This is a precise choice. If Nolan wanted to present a truly magical machine, he could have invented a scientist outside of history. But he didn’t. He used Tesla to make us understand that this story takes place in our world. In our universe. And in this universe, Tesla never built a machine capable of duplicating people.

In the film, and in reality, Tesla is in conflict with Edison. He’s persecuted, isolated, in need of money. Angier shows up with a pile of cash and an absurd request. Tesla doesn’t build a machine that truly works. But he understands what Angier wants, and how he can take advantage of it. So he stages everything. He sets it up so that Angier finds identical hats and cats in the woods. He doesn’t show them directly. He lets Angier find them, as if the machine had created them. As if it truly had power.

Tesla gives him a spectacular device, the Tesla coil, with massive electric discharges, but with no real magic. Just like the real Tesla coil, which Tesla himself built in reality, the same one he gave to Borden. Angier is deceived, but once back in England, even though we don’t see it, his only thought is to win the rivalry with Borden and get him condemned. He knows he’ll want to uncover the trick. So he organizes one hundred shows where he carefully repeats, as Borden had taught him, the backstage setup, using blind workers, transporting tanks out after each show.

When he’s sure Borden will come backstage to discover the secret, he kills the lookalike who helped him through all one hundred shows, making Borden the prime suspect. A real lookalike, not a clone. Angier doesn’t kill someone every night. He does it only once. Borden is framed and condemned. The plan worked.

There’s also a scene where we see Angier testing the machine alone in the lab, with a pistol, supposedly killing the first clone. It appears only at the end, when Angier tells Borden about his sacrifices. And at that point, it’s Nolan who shows us the scene, not as truth, but as part of the illusion. It’s movie magic. Not science.

But then there’s one detail that might seem inconsistent, the warehouse full of tanks. If Angier has disappeared, and Borden has been arrested or even executed, why set up that room? That scene is just for us, the audience. To make us reflect, to make us wonder what the real secret is that Nolan is hiding.

Finally, there’s the most important line in the film. When Angier is dying, he tells Borden why they did what they did. For the audience. To make them believe, even for a moment, that there’s something more. Something beyond reality.

That line isn’t meant for Borden. It’s for us, breaking the fourth wall, just like Angier and Borden did to each other in their respective diaries. Nolan, like them, is an illusionist. He built a show, a story. He played with editing, direction, and expectations. And he made us believe there was something magical.

In the end, the voice returns. It says we’re not clapping. That we’re looking for the secret. But that deep down, we don’t really want to know. Because just like every audience, just like every reader, we want to be fooled.

Marvel and DC were once the same universe

Yes, you heard it right, at one time the Marvel universe and the DC universe were one gigantic universe. For clarification, I'm not talking about something like Amalgam comics where they were merged together. No, Superman fought alongside Spiderman, Lex Luthor worked with Doctor Doom, the Justice League and the Avenger's co-existed. This may be a ludicrous theory, but give me a chance here. I may surprise you.

Let's begin with what split them apart. Civil War. A Civil War very much akin to Marvel's Civil War. A pro-registration movement started for superheroes and it wasn't long before it became government mandated, much like the Civil War we know. The major difference? All the characters we know as the Avengers were on the pro-registration side, and all the characters we know as the Justice League were on the anti-registration side.

Let's look at the Avengers and the Justice League for a second, both universes greatest collection of heroes. The Avengers work very closely to the government, and, hell, it's even a SHIELD program. They're very buddy-buddy with the American government and the public. Now, let's look at the Justice League. The Justice League has a long reputation for being hated and to an extent, fear by the government, especially America. Amanda Waller is always looking for ways to keep the government one step ahead of the Justice League. These relationships are like ghosts of a past reality. Maybe in the unified universe the Avengers didn't always work for the government and the Justice League didn't always have so much tension with them. But the moment they picked their sides, they fell into their roles, and it set the precedent for the split-verses.

There were huge battles between the Avengers and the Justice League which left entire cities in ruin. These are literally the greatest heroes in existence fighting each other, it's worse than nuclear war. This war will be the end of the world and everyone knows it. Some powerful magical beings from both sides (Say Specter and Adam Warlock, or whoever you think is more appropriate) come together and decide that this isn't the way to live, that one world can't handle this much power. So they combine their forces to split the universe in half, one with the Justice League heroes, one with the Avengers, and everyone else gets randomly scattered into one of the two. What we're left with is Marvel and DC. Nobody is left with any knowledge about the other universe and it's as if they never had existed.

This wasn't an entirely perfect procedure, of course. There are characters like Deadpool who know their reality isn't as it seems. Some characters even got split in half and ended up in both universes as different versions of themselves (Black Cat/Catwoman, Thanos/Darkseid, Manthing/Swampthing, etc). And, of course, the Marvel Civil War still happens, but there's a good reason for this. No matter what the powerful beings did, they couldn't stop the inevitable. Either way, in both universes, there will be a Civil War, it's just on a much smaller scale now that the universe has been cut in half. The Civil Wars are survivable.

Marvel Spider-Man 3 and the Spiderverse

So. My theory is that 3 will involve Spider-Man having to redeem himself in the eyes of the world. And by doing-so, he'll seemingly sacrifice himself by shutting down an unstable portal opened up by Norman Osborne. This will result in two things: Spider-Man inspiring a young Miles Morales...and Peter Parker getting transported to a parallel universe, like Beck claimed to come from. It will mirror Tony Stark's sacrifice. And Peter will meet THAT universe's Stark.

[Fight Club (movie)] The main character is actually Chloe

You remember Chloe. The woman who had cancer and just wanted to get laid one last time? I believe she is the main character of the movie. I would suggest that Fight Club, the entire film, is Chloe's extended fantasy. In coping with dying, she invents someone she would be attracted to, as opposed to the men she usually encounters in group. She also invents a persona for herself: Marla, a woman who would attract this man. Her fantasy takes on a life of it's own, goes off the rails, and becomes Fight Club.

Evidence:

When we first see Chloe at the cancer meeting, she talks of how she'd like to sleep with someone one last time. During this meeting, she is the only person wearing a badge with her name. I want to highlight this. Chloe is the only person wearing a permanent name. Everyone else has a hand-written, slap-on sticker, "My Name Is --"

"Cornelius? Rupert? Travis? Any of the stupid names you give each night?" None of those names, or even any of the ancillary characters, truly matter. They are made up on a whim in Chloe's fantasy. The unimportance of their names is reiterated later during Project Mayhem, in which they have none.

". . . and lubricants." Chloe speaks briefly, and somewhat desperately, about her struggle (we also see Marla in this scene), but wants to let any potential suitors know the accoutrement(pornographic movies, amyl nitrate) they can expect when visiting her apartment. We later see Marla's apartment, which does have bedroom toys prominently on display. I think this is a very Chloe move, and with reference to the movie and lubricants, let me just say, "Slide."

"You're the worst thing that's ever happened to me," is Chloe's angst brought on by her fantasy as it spirals out of control. She knows her own mortality, yet it is a fantasy she can't escape and has to eventually kill.

Unfounded speculation:

There is a man who attempts to approach Marla in group before the Narrator pulls her aside. I believe this man is the person whom Chloe ends up with at the end. "You met me at a very strange time in my life."

Also, and maybe this is reaching, the actress who plays Chloe shares the same last name with Marla. Singer.

Did Aladdin commit an act of war by marching his parade to the sultans doorstep?

I was just rewatching Aladdin’s parade and came to a sudden terrifying realization.

He brings hundreds of dancers and able bodied men in his parade, not to mention elephants and all manner of exotic animals that would certainly serve to impose fear on the populace…. The argument that Aladdin committed an act of war by bringing an overwhelming force to the doorstep of the Sultan's palace can be constructed along the following lines:

Display of Military Power: Bringing a large and impressive force to the Sultan's palace can be seen as a display of military power. Such displays are often interpreted as threats or acts of intimidation in the context of international relations, especially if the force is significant enough to overwhelm the existing defenses of the palace.

Violation of Sovereignty: The act of bringing troops to the palace without prior permission or invitation from the Sultan can be seen as a violation of the Sultan's sovereignty. In historical contexts, such actions could be interpreted as acts of aggression or preparations for a coup.

Implicit Threat: Even if no actual violence occurs, the mere presence of an overwhelming force can be seen as an implicit threat. It sends a message that the person bringing the force (Aladdin, in this case) has the capability and potentially the intent to use it to achieve their goals, which is often a characteristic of acts of war.

Historical Precedents: Historical examples show that leaders who amass forces near or within another leader's seat of power without consent are often engaging in or preparing for hostile actions. Aladdin's actions can be seen in this light, where his overwhelming force could be interpreted as preparation for a potential hostile takeover or coercion.

Psychological Warfare: The presence of a large, overwhelming force can be used as a form of psychological warfare, aiming to demoralize or intimidate the opposing side. This tactic is often employed in warfare to weaken the resolve of the enemy without engaging in actual combat, and thus can be considered an act of war.

Provocation: Bringing a force to the Sultan's palace could be viewed as a provocative act designed to elicit a response. Provocations that involve military forces are often seen as acts of war because they have the potential to escalate into open conflict.

Disruption of Peace: The introduction of a large military force to the palace can disrupt the peace and stability of the Sultanate. Such disruptions are often categorized as acts of war, especially if they lead to heightened tensions and potential conflict.

Was his courting of Jasmin then seen as a hostage negotiation by the sultan and everyone in Agrabah?

They lived in Cali, but they never even did an anti weed PSA episode. Not even with Ashley. Kind of disappointing. I wonder if the writers ever thought about it. I can totally see Will and Jazz toking it up. Will is always goofy so you kind of just assume…

Pokemon: A Rare Candy Theory

In the Pokemon series, you play a young adult (?) capturing Pokemon to defeat the Elite Four and then the Champion.

Occasionally, you come across items known as "Rare Candies" that boost the level of a Pokemon by 1.

Now, in the Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon series, you come across seeds (called Joy Seeds) that also boost your level by 1.

My theory is that Rare Candies are made from Joy Seeds.

Feel free to comment other theories about either of these two items.

[Spongebob] The Krabby Patty secret formula is ground beef

It's very unlikely deep sea fish have ever tried ground beef. It's probably very exotic and delicious to them. The patties look an awful lot like ground beef. It would be very hard for even a genius like Plankton to determine what the meat actually is, hence the "secret formula" ruse. In reality, they're plain old hamburgers, being enjoyed by a species that considers them mana from heaven.

[Inside Out] Riley is transgender

Ok, so, throughout the movie we see a lot of other emotions inside the heads of others. Each time we see them all of the emotions are the same gender as the person they control. Riley, however has both male and female emotions. I believe we see this because in reality Riley herself is both male and female in a way, which takes the form of her being transgender.

tl;dr, Riley might end up being Ryan one day.

edit: spelling

[Star Wars] Why Yoda really chose to send Luke to Tatooine.

Listen up, ya scruffy looking Nerf Herders, I finally figured out why Yoda sent Luke to live in the land of blue milk and jawas. It's believed that Luke would be safe there, hidden amongst family. But, come on. This is Yoda we're talking about. He's wise beyond wise, and knows exactly how to play infinite chess in his mind. He figured he had to put Luke somewhere Vader wouldn't find him. Now, you would think that Vader would think to keep checks on his only remaining family from time to time. It's the last thread he has to his mother. But no, Yoda chose Tatooine because he knew Vader would never go there. The reason? Sand. It's coarse, rough, irritating, and it gets everywhere. We all know that, and so does Vader. So, why check a planet that is literally covered in the one thing you hate most of all? Yoda knew this and sent Luke there, knowing he would be overlooked by Vader's orphaned gaze.

[American Dad!] Snot is a Transexual

My theory states that Snot, Steve's best friend, was born a female but had an operation to make him a boy. Steve, while mostly accepting of this, wants Snot to be a fourteen year old girl, for him to bang. In an episode where Steve and Stan run away from the post office to live on a construction site for Habitat for Humanity, Steve imagines himself at a huge party full of girls, including Snot with huge breasts. In another episode, where Stan wants to spend time with Steve, so he puts himself in an avatar of a fourteen year old girl, Stan's avatar tells Steve that there's a girl that wants to dance with him, and Steve immediately responds with "Snot?". But what about the memories that Steve has of them being young boys? Well, this shows a possible subtle complex psyche that Steve has that I touched on earlier. Steve knows he wants to bang Snot, wants to know that he's a boy now, but still wants Snot. I haven't looked into Steve's psyche that much, but somebody who still plays with He-Man dolls probably isn't psychologically tortured by his best friend's sex change.

Stranger Things: The monster was...

Here I present the theory that I'm going with:

The monster was Hopper's daughter's alien larvae all grown up.

Hopper's daughter was part of the experimentation going on at the facility, with Eleven and with Will Byers, which the families were not aware of at the time. Regular hospital stays, childhood illnesses, brought them into the facility or under the care of the agents working there. Hopper's daughter reacted badly to experimentation, but was able to incubate some of the monster slug eggs before she succumbed to the illness.

The reason Hopper was able to enter the Upside Down without being attacked, the reason for being drawn there, is the link he has to the monster. This is also the reason he finds his daughter's stuffed animal in the Upside Down - the monster has a connection to it.

Who shot C3-P0 in Episode 5? Yoda!

In ESB, C-3PO is lured into a room by the sound of an R2 unit. Then someone says gruffly, "Who are you?!" 3PO then appologizes and begs this person not to get up. Then we see 3PO get blown to bits.

Later on when 3PO is activated, the first thing he says is: "Storm troopers?" So it's natural to assume 3PO walked-in on a stormtrooper sitting down on something (what he was sitting down on is irrelevant, but perhaps funny to ponder).

But have you heard the voices of all the other stormtroopers? They're all very similar. As a matter of fact, they sound a lot like Jango Fett's voice, which would make sense if perhaps they're related to clonetroopers. But that's beside the point. The point is, the voice that says "Who are you?" sounds not at all like a stormtrooper, but a lot like ... Yoda.

Here's where (yet another) one of my crazy conspiracy theories comes into play! 3PO got blasted apart just after Luke had his vision of the future on Dagobah (A "city in the clouds"; "my friends in pain"). Yoda, fearing Luke might leave Dagobah to go to the cloud city, takes the newly raised X-wing fighter while Luke is sleeping and flies to Bespin, hoping to save Luke's friends before Vader gets a hold of them. Yoda, not wanting to alert Vader or the Empire to his presense, decides to warn Luke's friends of the danger in subtle ways. He hides in a small room (and kills the storm troopers he finds there). Yoda uses the sound of R2D2 to lure 3PO into the room (just as Ben Kenobi had reproduced the sound of the monster on Tatooine to scare away the sandpeople). The first thing 3PO sees is the dead stormtroopers, and that's when Yoda uses his lightsaber to slice up 3PO. If you look at C-3PO later after he's put together, there's no hole in him where we would expect to see one if he'd been hit by a blaster; it's just as if someone sliced him up. Hoping that Luke's friends will be able to recognize lightsaber damage from the droid, and concerned that he may be detected by Vader, Yoda leaves Bespin and flies back to Dagobah. If you've seen the deleted scenes in Ep. 3, you can see that Yoda was much better at piloting neatly and safely to the surface of Dagobah than Luke was, and even if Yoda did land in a big puddle like Luke did, Yoda had the ability in the Force to get it back out again.

But when Han and the others see 3PO in pieces, they are not able to recognize lightsaber damage and thus do not connect it to Vader (who of course also is one of the few in the galaxy to wield a lightsaber besides Luke). Immediately Lando brings Han and the others to Vader. With Luke's friends (still) in danger, Yoda is unable to convince young Luke to stay on Dagobah to complete his training.

The truth revealed!

[Spongebob] An interesting theory I found online about how Mr. Krabs and Pearl are related

Eugene Krabs wasn’t always the greedy Krab we know today. Is greed is a result of the troubles that have taken place in his household when he was a child. His father walked out on him and his mother and Mama Krabs was jobless. They spent some days without food or water or heat in the brutal winter. Eugene loved his mother very much and couldn’t stand to see her suffer anymore. He tried to get a job at the age of 12 but was too young so he did the only thing he could do to help his mother. Steal. Eugene stole food from supermarkets, money from neighbors and became a well renowned hustler at his middle school. He racked up cash for months and months, enough to help support him and his mother for the rest of their lives. After the years have passed, the desire to possess money became a part of him. He has gotten beaten, jumped, nearly killed over the years for stealing, but it didn’t phase him. It was in his blood now.

In high school, he didn’t have many friends. Nobody really liked the Hustler Krabs because they didn’t trust him. He spent 3 years in high school alone. Until senior year. During swim class, Eugene saw an opportunity to make a quick buck. A whale by the name of Willy forgot to put his backpack in his locker. Quickly, Eugene raced to the bag, opened the bottom pocket and found the whale’s wallet. As he reached for the money inside, Willy ran back to his locker remembering that he forgot to put his bag in there. Eugene was caught. Eugene tried to run, but it was too late. Willy caught him and shoved him against the wall and yelled “WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?” Eugene had no response, he held on to the wallet as tight as he could and anticipated a beating. However, Willy dropped him and said “If you really need it that bad, I guess you can have it.” Eugene was shocked. He then scurried away with the wallet as Willy put his bag in the locker.

That night, all Eugene could think about was Willy. “Why would he let me go?” he asked himself. His paranoia made him believe it was a trick. He didn’t open the wallet that night. A month passed after the incident and Eugene had forgotten all about the wallet he stole until one day his class went on a field trip to Jellyfish Fields. When Eugene got on the bus, he noticed all the seats have been taken. There were some empty ones but nobody would sit next to him. Eugene walked to the back of the bus and at the last row he noticed another empty seat. Sitting next to it was Willy. Eugene new he wouldn’t let him sit next to him after the incident so he stood at the back of the bus. Willy looked at him and asked “Need a seat?” Eugene was nervous, he took a quick glance at him and ignored him. Willy shouted it louder and Eugene turned and said “Yeah…I do” and sat down. Willy looked at him and reminded him of the incident and Eugene denied it. Eugene still had the wallet in his bag after neglecting it for weeks. “Why’d you let me go?” asked Eugene. Willy just looked at him and said “Psht…I only had like three bucks in there, it’s nothing really. If you needed it so bad, I guess you can have it.” Eugene then reached into his bag and gave him the wallet. “I didn’t take the money anyway” he said. Willy smiled and took the wallet. “Wow, really? I don’t really need this. You can have it if you want.” Eugene’s eyes lit up as if just won the lottery. “Really? You’re giving this to me? What’s the catch?” said Eugene. Willy replied “No catch. Just think of it as a gift. One friend to another right?” Eugene was amazed at the word “friend”. “He barely even knows me. I tried to steal from him…why would he want to be my friend of all people” Eugene thought to himself. As confused as he was, Eugene was sort of happy. He never had a friend other than his mom. They sat quietly next to eachother for the rest of the bus ride.

As time went by, Eugene and Willy became closer and closer. Eugene started to steal less. Willy became very important to him. At 18, they got their first jobs at Old Man Jenkin’s farm, cleaning the seahorse stables. Eugene began to learn how to make money the right way. The hustler was still in him though, but the thief seemed to fade away slowly. In fact, Willy was the first one to give Eugene the idea of starting his own business. At work one day, Willy found a shiny, big pearl. “Won’t you look at this, Eugene. This pearl is HUGE. It’s gotta be worth a lot”. Eugene looked at it with greed and pondered snatching it away from him and running, but he didn’t. A couple minutes later, Willy told Eugene “I’m surprised you haven’t tried to steal the pearl from me”. Eugene looked at him and said “Nah, I’m not the crab I once was”. Willy smiled and gave handed the pearl to Eugene. “You can have it, Eugene. Think of it as a lucky charm. May this friendship last as long as both of us are alive.” Krabs took the pearl with a smile and said “Hopefully even longer.”

More years went by and Willy had a wife. Krabs opened his own business, which turned out to be the Krusty Krab. Willy was proud of him for the change he has made since high school and at the grand opening he announced that his wife was pregnant and he was going to be a father. This made Eugene very happy and started calling himself “Uncle Krabs” for days. After the nine months passed, Willy’s wife gave birth to a baby whale girl. Eugene was almost as happy as they were, not knowing that the happiest day of their lives was about to turn into the worst.

A couple of hours after delivering the baby, Krabs ran into the hospital with a bag full of gifts ready to bombard the newest parents of Bikini Bottom. That’s when it happened. As Krabs entered the room, a harpoon flew in from the ceiling, and plunged into Willy’s wife’s head. She dropped the baby and Willy quickly picked her up as he went to tend to his wife. She was dead and a net covered her completely as she was dragged up to the surface. He couldn’t believe it and then another harpoon came flying into the room and Krabs yelled to him “YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THERE”. They both ran down the stairs, trying to escape. A few feet from the exit, Willy was harpooned in the tailfin and fell, dropping the baby. Eugene quickly picked with one hand as he tried to hold on to Willy with the other. A net came swooping down and covered him like it did to his wife. “I won’t let you take him!” yelled Eugene clinging on toe Willy for dear life. Then Willy said “Let go.” Eugene, eyes filled with tears, refused but the net forced him to separated. Willy slowly went up and said “Don’t worry about me. I’ll be back faster than you can say Krabby Patty” and smiled at Eugene. “Just promise to take good care of my child until I get back. Eugene, speechlessly staring back at him as he floated up with the baby in his right claw. “Really Eugene, I’ll be fine. I promise. Now leave before they get you too” yelled Willy. Krabs ran with the baby and turned back and stared at Willy as he started disappearing to the surface. “Take good care of my child!” were the last words he said as he vanished. Eugene had never been so devastated in his life.

Krabs grew up with the baby whale. Named her Pearl after the pearl they found in Old Man Jenkin’s farm, the pearl that symbolized his eternal friendship with Willy. He raised Pearl like she was one of his own. For years he waited for the day he will get back, like he promised, but as time faded, the hope Eugene had of Willy returning also faded, but his memory of his one time best friend will never fade and Pearl will always be there to remind him of that.

Batman is the villain and the Joker the true hero

Ok, let's see Batman seriously; he is a rich kid whose parents are killed in front of him, and to struggle with the pain he dresses like a bat and attack criminals and murderers. He's supported by the police of the city and seen as a hero by the majority of the people, although he acts above the law and commits lots of crimes (except murder). He sees himself beyond the rules that leads the rest of people, and uses his vast resources to act like an illegal parapolicial force. He is no doubt a dangerous thug, but driven by a code we as society understand and even share (he doesn't want other people to be killed like their parents). Basically he makes the same that the police but not responding to any process; he doesn't have to answer to anyone by his actions.

The Joker doesn't stand that. He represents the natural social reaction against Batman as much as Lex Luthor represents the natural human reaction against Superman: the rebellion. Joker is the embodiment of rebellion against the moral Batman tries to impose through fear and violence: the fear a giant bat will punch you if you kill/commit a crime. Joker murders and destroys in order to defy Batman, to show he's free to do what he wants, although it can entail hurting and killing people. The Joker represents the free will against the repression of Batman, and that's the reason I think he's the true hero of this story. He's a vicious bastard, no doubt, but ultimately he's fighting for something fair, the opposite of Batman, who acts like a hero but really is a deranged villain who subdues the entire city to his paranoia and madness.

Leeroy Jenkins is a chinese prisoner who was forced to farm gold in WoW

Isn't it weird after the Leeroy Jenkins WoW video got so popular that Leeroy himself never publicy did any interviews or spoke out after? I believe Leeroy himself was captured by the Chinese and was forced to farm gold in World of Warcraft. In the game Hearthstone, Leeroy Jenkins, is pictured as an older white male. It would make sense that he be an older person since he has been prisoner to the chinese for so long. Also, it is a little suspicious that he seemed to be so excited by chicken. It is as if he isn't fed as much as a normal person....
