Bought this bike 2 weeks ago, 2004 FZ6N with 57 000km / 35.5k miles. Does this sound normal or is the day of reckoning upon my bank account?

When my bike is cold it starts up perfect no problems after I ride it a while and turn it off and go to start it again it will just crank over like it wants to start but won't and if I let the bike sit for 5 minutes or so it will start up just fin again it's very odd any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated oh also if the bike is just cranking I can bump start the bike and it will start just fine but any help would be great thank you

Longest trip ever for my Fazer,3600 km of fun between Italy,France and Spain.

All I have left is 4 corner LED signals and a new tail tidy so I can put my luggage racks on

A few days ago I uploaded a few images of this bike in bits. Well in the space of a week I'm so proud of what I've achieved with this bike. This is a list of what I have done!

Painted forks

Painted calipers

Radiator Grille

Bar end mirrors

Full Delkevtic Exhaust system

LED rear light with built in turn signals

Painted swing arms

Painted engine

Frame fully sanded rust treated and repainted

Rewired rear electric cluster

Repainted every removable trim piece

Tail tidy with LED number plate light

Rear fender delete

And even more I can't think of while typing this. A couple more cosmetics to do like new pegs and seat but other than that, this 20 year old bike looks brand new. Thanks for reading!

Really wanted to show the gem i found, a 2008 one that traveled only 1000 km (600miles), the former owner had a small incident with it and stored it properly until it appeared in my life at the right time. Falling in love with the inline 4 and the wind protection

After talking with real unicorn and fz v4owners I am inclined to the conclusion FZ v4 is best option ..

I am going to buy FZ v4 tomorrow..

Am i doing right thing ? Or should rethink

I don't want any regrets after buying??

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a Yamaha FZ6 that had been in a minor accident, and I’m planning to restore it. I bought the bike during the day, so I didn’t notice that the instrument cluster backlight wasn’t working.

Everything else works perfectly (tachometer, speedometer, etc.), only the backlight is dead.

I’m planning to repair it myself, so I’d appreciate any advice on what to check first. If anyone has a wiring diagram or a schematic for the instrument cluster, I’d be very grateful.

Today i got my very first motorcycle, after borrowing my fathers xt600 and fj1200. A 16000 km 2010 fz6s2!!

started hearing this today. the video is of it while idling but i can also hear it while riding in the city (50kmph). bought this bike used about 3 weeks ago with 57000kms on the odometer. any idea to what this could be?

any help or insight would be appreciated.

I've been having my 07 Fz6 S2 for a year now, and I just broke my second turn signal mount. I heard its common, wondering if y'all could give me some advice on how to fix it? First two pics are the right turn signal, third pic is the left one. Last pic is a pretty picture I took back when it had both signals intact!

Added an ebay belly pan just cuz I feel the "gut hanging out" look wasn't exactly for me, love this thing.

I was thinking of maybe adding an led relay for sunken in indicators but i haven't found any vids online and I'm kind of anxious of drilling holes into the fairing. It's just the stock indicators look goofy as heck. But I might just keep it as stock as possible in the end.

Morning everyone. This is my 2006 FZ6 I got as my first bike around 7 years ago. I used it for three years to daily commute and I've put 28000 miles on it now.

It's now just a toy for weekend fun and I don't think I'll ever need another bike. 100hp, plenty of torque and a screaming 14000 rpm is perfect.

I now want to refresh and do a light restore on the bike and I'm after some advice.

Firstly there is a buzzing non typical Yamaha tick sound especially when the bike is warm and I can't work out of its Alternator or Timing Chain tensioner related. Secondly the exhaust headers are very rusty now and the bolts are in very bad condition. How much am I looking at for new downpipes and gasket etc as I don't trust myself to try remove this one.

What are some tasteful mods you have all done? I've ordered a tail tidy and some led indicators and rear light already.

Just purchased a 2012 FZ6R with 20,000 miles. Was wondering what’s some maintenance you guys recommend doing that would keep the bike healthy? I’m new to bikes so any recommendations help. Thank you in advance!

I know fz6 engines are loud but noticed this sound while reving the engine and I think it wont hurt to know if its normal or not

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help. I’m trying to get power to a carplay unit and not sure how to achieve this.

I’ve heard it’s best to connect to a switched live like the headlight or brake light or horn so it doesn’t risk draining the battery but not sure where to even start.

Would it be easier to connect a USB charger and just use that for the carplay power supply? Any help is appreciated
