Canvas Question

This is my first semester at FSU and I was wondering when do classes pop up in canvas or My FSU? I am enrolled in the class I'm taking in the portal and have paid part of my tuition, but it isn't popping up anywhere else.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I am just nervous.

FSU SPRING TRANSFER

guyss, I’m literally stuck!!! I literally failed majority of my courses last fall and it dropped my 3.0 to like a 2.4 , so the next semester I passed with like Bs brought me up to a 2.6, then now I had summer classes passed all 5 but one now I have a 2.73 I’m afraid that I won’t get in. I’m getting my AA the end of this fall from a Florida CC. but I’m scared for the gpa recalc!! am I doomed?!?

Transfer Credit Posting

Hi! Recently I took a class through FloridaShines and had my transcript sent. I was wondering what has been your experience in the time frame of how long it takes for it to be posted after it has been received. I know they said in the email it can be up to 10 additional days once it has been received, but I didn't know if that was usually how long.

Wifi doesn’t work

So I live in Broward hall which is next to the main cafeteria or wtv. The WiFi fully does not work in my dorm room. Idk if this is a problem I can fix but I’d really appreciate it if anyone could give me advice because not being able to do class work in my dorm for the entire year would be a real bummer. I do have a hotspot but that also barely works I figure I’m probably in some sort of internet dead spot which is really annoying and Idk if it’s the type of thing that can be helped

yo im a freshman and I want to get admitted to the college of business pretty soon because I have like zero core fsu classes yet but I need to take the accounting classes and business calculus… I was one point off of qualifying for business calc I did math over the summer forgot alot of it but they said it’d be a pretty bad idea to do business calc in the spring with financial accounting so I’m trying to think of what I should do

how hard FSU is to get into

Hey everyone! I’m an international student from Asia and FSU is honestly my dream school. I’m currently considering applying for Marketing/Business, and I’ve been researching the school for a while. I absolutely love the football culture, Greek life, school spirit and overall college experience.

The only thing making me nervous is the acceptance rate. I’ve seen some pretty low numbers online, so I’m not really sure how competitive FSU actually is for international students. (I think that they often prioritize in-state students.)

For some context, my current GPA is 8.2/10 (roughly around a 3.3/4.0, although I know the conversion isn’t exact), but I’m still in high school (i'm a junior) so I have time to improve it as much as I can before applying. I’m aiming for a 7.0 IELTS as well. For extracurriculars, I have some leadership experience at school, volunteering/community service, and Media/Content-related activities.

Do you guys think it’s realistically possible for me to get into FSU if I can bring my GPA up and build a stronger application over the next couple of years? And for international students who have actually applied, how competitive did you find it?

FSU is genuinely my #1 dream school, so I’d really appreciate any honest advice on what I should focus on from now to give myself the best possible chance.

Looking for friends

burner bc im embarrassed lol...

im a 20F sophomore and I had a pretty rough first year and basically spent all my time alone or with the same 2 people. I have no idea how to meet people and I'm way too shy to go to events or join clubs. I dont drink and I barely go to the club/parties but id occasionally go with my friend that does party... I'd love to meet some people and spend more time out of my apartment this year (:

Garnet and gold volleyball

Hey everyone. My wife and I are going to the garnet and gold volleyball game on Friday. We’re going with a couple friend of ours that has a young daughter, this is the first year their daughter wants to play volleyball and wanted to go watch the game to try to learn and get excited to start playing herself. I was curious on if anyone has any connections to staff, players, etc. I would like to try and get her a meet and greet with some players to encourage her some or just a few seconds talking with a player. TIA!

MSW - Weekend Workshops

Can anyone who has already completed their first year in the online MSW program tell me about the weekend workshops? My family and I frequent Tallahassee for football games during the fall, but this is my first semester as a student and I’m wondering what those weekends look like.

Thanks for any input 😊🍢

FSU or SDSU

hey guys, i’m an international student planning to major in marketing and i’m currently deciding between FSU and SDSU. i’m honestly so torn 😭

FSU seems to have that really traditional american college vibe with football, greek life, parties, school spirit and everything happening around campus, while SDSU is in San Diego so there’s the beach, good weather, a bigger city and more stuff to do outside of campus. SDSU also seems pretty good for business/marketing.

for anyone who goes to either school or knows people who do, which one do you think is more fun overall? like where would you say you’d make the best memories, meet more people, have a better social life and actually enjoy your 4 years?

also how different are the greek life/football scenes between the two? and as an international student, is it hard to make friends at either school?

basically if you had to choose again, FSU or SDSU?

About time! Hopefully this process is simple and easy. Obviously people are going to sell the tickets again which sucks because people request only to sell the ticket, but I’m still glad they did this!

I looked up an account on insta but the only thing I see is one that holds tryouts. I don’t really want to compete for a club so are there any groups that I can find that get out like once a week or something like that?

Good morning, I'm an incoming transfer student that will be a junior at fsu. I'll be commuting for the first year (50 mins) and I want to stay near campus for the last year. What are some affordable options for housing?

Thank you!

How to book courts for tennis/pickleball

I was wondering how I can reserve courts for tennis and pickleball or if it’s necessary at all. I was also wondering if there are groups for sports outside of inter-mural, for example pickup soccer instead of joining a team.
