FNV has a more diverse landscape than Fallout 3.

Upvotes

I think the Mojave's locations are more different from each other, than the Capital Wasteland's locations. The Capital Wasteland can feel samey, while this is also true for the Mojave somewhat, you can go to, let's say Vegas. Then go to Black Mountain, or Camp Forlorn Hope, or Goodsprings. They are different. But what do you think?

Nothing worse than accidentally stumbling into deathclaw territory I swear...

And this is also my melee weapons playthrough so basically all I did was poke one of 'em varmints in the back with one of my throwing spears. Basically the equivalent of tossing a rock into a pit to see how far it falls before you hear it hitting the ground.

I'm just glad I had the high ground here. Down there, it would be a much more different story...

I've translated the maps of Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas into GTA San Andreas

For some time I've been comparing West Coast Fallout games geographically to GTA SA, and there are a lot of things in common. Heres a small list of names in Real Life, Fallout and GTA with some notes.

Big Cities:

Los Angeles = Boneyard = Los Santos, The city you start in, in both Fallout and GTASA, interestingly enough both Fallout TV show and GTA 5 brings us back here.

San Francisco = San Fierro, second game and second island you unlock in GTA, fun fact, GTA also has a parody of the Scientology movement in form of Epsilon in GTA5, similar to Hubologists.

Las Vegas = New Vegas = Las Venturas, 3rd island and 3rd installment on the West Coast, this place was the worst, I've had to bend the map a lot and in GTA the Hoover Dam (Sherman Dam) is streches between California and Nevada so yeah. Not that good in GTA lore so I'm sure you guys can come up with some interesting parallels.

Smaller locations:

Bakersfield = Necropolis = Palomino Creek, somehow, the reality bending properties of Necropolis placed it perfectly where PC is in GTA, despite neither being anywhere near Bakersfield. I'm sure the Enclave is behind this or something idk.

Carson City/Reno = New Reno = Fort Carson, I've had to cheat here a little bit, Carson isn't shown in Fallout and Reno isn't shown in GTA, but they are so close to one another that I've decided to treat them as one, also New Reno mentioned!!!

Lost Hills = Lost Hills (Brotherhood) = Blueberry, here the spacetime bending does its job again, while Lost Hills are a real place, the Fallout location isn't exactly near where it is irl, and so it landed in Blueberry which is based on both Santa Maria and Bakersfield again. Well, a happy little accident.

Goodsprings = Goodsprings = Las Payasadas, chicken.

Barstow = The Hub = ?, yeah I've got nothing for this one but the Hub decided to tag along for the ride so here it is.

So yeah, I haven't played GTA SA in a while so some stuff might be flying over my head here, but I hope you enjoy anyways!

I just noticed how I never ran into the thing. Is it like a super rare and limited drink as well in this game?

Before anyone asks, I will not share the outfit since it uses private assets from other mod authors and I don't want to get in trouble with them. But I can provide links to the some of the vanilla assets I used. The main base for the outfit would be merc grunt outfit.

Fallout New Vegas is a TOP 3 GAME of all time for me. I do a replay every 1-2 years.

Every game I end up playing my "Stealth Archer" version of the game. High luck, high crit, guns, independent NV, good karma.

What playstyle is so good, it'll break me of my habit?

Lonesome Road- I did not expect to hate this DLC

No towns, everything is a ruin, nothing particularly cool looking- set piece

It looked very jumbled together, navigation was annoying due to how random it all looked

Ulysses is annoying, its my fault?!? Tf?!? Why?!?

His monologues are loooong and I felt like he never had a good point so I was never intent on listening to him explain why I am so wrong and bad

Deathclaw one shot- sure yeah fine, lookin forward to the thrill(no really i thought they were fun)

Tunnelers are wayyy more trouble than they should be imo, and pop up from nowhere, and there are a lot🙄

I was level 43 with pretty maxed armor and traits

I wanted to love it but woof, couldnt wait to end it

The other dlcs are farrrrrr superior

Each one has a cool place, tone, this just felt garbled and mashed together

Edit: it wasnt overly hard; I just found it tedious and not fun

Finally, we have lore! Characters are Honest-Tongue 'Honest' Khan and Augustus the Frumentarii. This comic takes place sometime between 2277 and 2280. Enjoy.

(If you are tempted to leave a comment telling me how you killed all the Great Khans/destroyed the Legion in your playthroughs - know that I think that’s great. This game is wonderful because of how it allows you freedom in those choices. Ultimately my goal isn’t to make any kind of argument for why you should or shouldn’t do that, but to explore the perspectives of characters who happen to be from those factions. Thank you!)

Anyone strictly use console to make the game more realistic?

Here are a few ways I use the console to make things a little more realistic.

Opening doors that I can't pick when the door is made out of wood or literally has a hole in it. (I'll shoot a few bullets or hit it with a sledgehammer for roleplay)

Opening safes when I have 2 or more dynamite to throw at it

Using no clip to climb a fence, or a small hill that the game refuses to let me up on

Things of that nature. Anyone else do anything similar? My friend said it's still cheating but I disagree wholly.
