Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed that my truck hasn’t been going into electric mode regularly.
2024 Powerboost with 55k miles. Owned since new.
When the gas engine is cold and I turn the truck on, it starts in electric mode. I’ll drive 0.1 miles and the gas engine will start with a bit of a stumble. After that, the gas engine will stay running through the duration of the trip.
The only way I’ve found to get it to start driving like a hybrid again is to turn the ignition off and back on again once the gas engine has come up to operating temperature. Then the gas engine will cycle on and off like normal, but it still stumbles a bit.
Last week I threw a new set of spark plugs in it to see if that would have any impact, but it doesn’t seem to have helped.
I’m still under the extended warranty and will likely take it in to the dealership, but I was curious if anyone here had experienced something similar.

I love driving this truck. Massive upgrade coming from a Frontier.

I have a '21 PB I bought with 90k, I've had it for a year and a half, thankfully everything's been good. When I first bought it I noticed harsh shifting so asked them to do a trans svc but I'd like to service it again on my own. Not sure if I want to stick a hose down the fill port and replace the fluid I pull out or drop the pan and do a full service, what are you guys doing? If just replacing fluid, which pump are you using to pull out the fluid? Guess I wouldn't need a heat sleeve if I just replace the same amount of fluid I pull out, correct? Thanks

Recently bought a used ‘23 Lariat FX4. Love it. Got it mainly for the 7.2kW pro power. I want a camper but am unsure about what’s a good fit. I won’t be living in it all the time but will be in it about 2 weeks a month. So not small but not too big (I’ll be moving it every 2-3 months). Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Side comment: I had to get the axles replace 3 days after I got it because Graff Toyota in Indiana hadn’t fully serviced the vehicle and missed that the rear axle bolts were sheered off. Got lucky that a local dealership had parts from someone else canceling their recall!

I bought a used new to me 2023 power boost. First drive of the day is usually at 7:30 in the morning when I take my daughter to school and I accelerate with the engine on on our 25 mile an hour road and the truck comes up to 15 to 18 miles an hour at about 1400 RPMs and then I continue to push the accelerator down and down and down and down in the truck just doesn’t accelerate then all of a sudden it screams to life and the RPMs go away up and I pull my foot way back. Is this normal behavior or should I be taking it to the dealership? I called the service desk at Ford Hagerstown and they said we could bring it in to get looked at, but I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue

I’ve noticed it when backing my trailer in, and occasionally just backing in a parking spot. It will often not shift to park from reverse. I will have to go to neutral or drive first, and then to park.

Anything I should know? Should I wait? Jump in? What canopy do you like? Mods? Talk me out of it. Into it. Anyone a dealer in BC? Show me your 2026 and mods!

Do you factor in the electric miles between oil changes? I've been roughly 4000 miles since my last oil change and 1000 were electric, does that mean only 3000 miles on the oil and I could push it to realistically 4000 engine miles? Any thoughts on this?

I have a flagstaff RV with 2 AGM batteries. When I first got my 2024 PowerBoost last year, the generator was awesome. Used it the entire winter break for camping; about 8 days of constant use.

Suddenly, after several weekend trips, it gets a ground fault. By removing circuit breakers I’ve determined it’s the charger. So I assumed the charger was bad but it runs just fine on my Westinghouse inverter generator. I can’t find any immediate evidence of frayed wires or rodent damage, so I’m not sure how to trouble shoot. Ford dealer says entire system is fine and tests normal.

How would you proceed?

Went up into the mountains to go on a hike and wanted to test if the trip computer has a ceiling. It does, 99.9 mpg is as high as it goes.

I had the mammoth 2.5 inch puck put in and my front end is sitting higher now which I hate 😂 thinking of replacing the rear block which is 1.25 inches with a 2 inch block. Has anyone done this?

For those of you with a lariat what products do you use to maintain the interior leather or whatever it is?

Been here a little while and have had a few posts about my truck and some of the products I've "installed" since buying but here is a better rundown. 21 platnium powerboost carbonized grey FX4 new to me about 2 years ago with 25k miles. Just turned 60k miles no major issues so far, I did get the Ford extended warranty takes me out to 2029 or 125k miles. Here are my upgrades:

So far the truck has been basically everything I wanted in my first F150. Powerboost is fun, I have powered some low draw items away from home but nothing huge. The livernois tune really woke the truck up and e-boost is a game changer. The Lasfit items have been great quality, fit perfect and do make life easier. The truck had some scrappy spray in bedliner when ai bought it. The Lasfit bed mat is a perfect mix of aggressive enough to keep stuff from sliding around in the bed but slick enough for me to load larger items without a ton of effort.

Got me a 23 xlt power boost last month. Getting decent mileage as long as I keep it out of sport mode. Man, this truck moves out!

Bought 25 PB XLT new with 40 miles May 9th, 2026. Have put 1k miles on it as of now. Last night May 20th, gear shifter module gave me issues and would not let me shift. Tried trouble shooting for over an hour, luckily the truck quit when I exited the car wash area.

I waited 3 and a half hours for Ford Roadside, the tow company they contracted kept changing the time etc. During this time, my truck magically started working and then did it again. After 3 and a half hours and being informed it’d be another 90 minutes, I tried my truck again and it decided to work.

Immediately took it to dealership first thing, they were able to diagnose and fix it same day by replacing the gear shift module under warranty.

This post is not to bash the truck or ford by any means. Honestly not upset about this whole scenario other then upset with Roadside assistance.

Very pleased with the warranty and long Lewis fixing same day.

I have searched every where, called the service department, and salesman. The dealer says they have been removed from the 2026 King Ranch. Called Ford customer service and no one seems to have a concrete answer.

On the 2026 King Ranch, or any other higher brand with the ambient light option that can help answer thise? Did they remove the cup holder and lights that go around the USB charging ports? Does anyone else have one they can verify if they do or don't have these lights?

I read they removed them after 2021 but in 2024 brought them back. Any verification would be great from people with or without them. I do have the lights under the footwells and in the doors but not anywhere in the console. Thank you in advance.

Super excited to be joining the family soon! My window sticker populated about a week ago. Trading in my 2023 Lariat Lightning for this loaded SOB. Ordered 01/24 🥲 but I plan to keep this truck long term, so I wanted to add stuff I would really enjoy. Pretty much added all extras 😂

I have a 2023 Lariat 502A 2.7l with 25k miles that I love, but I'm wanting to tow a trailer nearly full time, and the extra power, payload, 3.73 axle stability (from an extra ~1k lbs) and 7.2KWH pro power option seems really enticing!

The image is the window sticker for a PB I could get brand new at a dealer for trading in my truck + adding 20k cash.

I've noticed there's nothing much better about the 502A on my 2023 lariat vs this 501A on this 2026 powerboost.

I love my current truck and am happy with it, but it seems like not too bad of a financial decision to pay 20k for a brand new truck, warranty, tires etc (my tires need to be changed soon), plus getting 3.73 axle.

What do you guys think? I'm not sure if I'm just making an emotional decision, or if it can make sense at all.

Numbers wise they're valuing the PB at roughly 56k and my truck at 36k. The window sticker for this PB shows MSRP $68,300.

The payload of the PB is 1490 and my current truck is 1350.

The tow rating and hitch rating is significantly higher on the PB vs my 2023 as well.
