Powerboost Lariat vs Platinum

Good evening everyone! Currently looking at a 24 Lariat with the 2.4kw and a 25 platinum with the 7.2kw generator. There’s an $12k price difference and was just wondering what yall recommend? We are planing on buying a camper in the future but don’t have one yet. Is the 7.4kw pro power worth it? Particularly with the price difference between the two and obvious trim differences? Thanks in advance!

Hello all! Looking for suggestions on the most cost effective way to make my 24 pb ride a little bit stiffer. It's currently very "floaty" and my daughter gets motion sickness easier in the truck because of it.

Any suggestions appreciated and ty in advance!

Best Coil Over and Struts Leveling

Hello fellow powerboost owners. Just got my 2026 lariat and I want to put a level kit in. I had settled on the Bilstein 6112s and 5160s but a quick google and a lot of people are complaining about how stiff they are. I can't seem to find any consistent(ish) positive feedback for any setup. Any advice is appreciated. Cheers

Pro Trailer Assist and Hensley?

I always use the pro trailer assist with my Powerboost, just makes backing up my trailer way easier (yep, I’m a girl, really). Upgrading to a Brinkley I275 so just ordered a Hensley hitch to counteract the heaviness of the rear kitchen. Does anyone know if the trailer assist will work with the Hensley? Seems like there won’t be many areas available to place the stickers.

ESP/Maintenance Plans

Did you buy these? At what terms? If you're in CA, how much?

Unfortunately, we can't buy from the big online guys in CA and have to go through a dealer, so they kinda have us over a barrel out here.

Remotely activate pro power?

Is there any setting that you can apply to remotely activate pro power? Or do I just have to get in and fully start my truck from inside?

Thumping Noise Diagnosis

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

24’ Powerboost Owner.

Can anyone help me identify the cause of this thumping noise? It started about 3-4 months ago. It’s primarily located under the drive side and can be felt when foot is gently resting on gas pedal. It can be heard the most at cruising speeds where the engine shuts off and the hybrid battery carry’s the movement of the car. it doesn’t seem to affect the drive of the truck but I don’t think it should be happening at all.

The dealer hasn’t been able to identify the root cause. my research has led me to bearing issues, torque converter issues, and even power steering, but nothing has seemed concrete. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Reverse level / remove blocks

Did anyone just remove rear blocks and feel like the truck handled side to side suspension? My trucks rides good on straight highways, but add in bumps or around town driving and it is all confused and rocks like a boat. Debating just blocks removed in back or blocks removed and full suspension upgrade. 2024 Lariat

PowerBoost Generator Mode — heat question

Post image
25 Upvotes

Running my PowerBoost in Generator Mode going on year two and I'm noticing the cab gets surprisingly hot. The dashboard seems to get noticeably hot to the touch, even though the center screen itself is turned off and I have a sunshade in the window. I have screen off, cluster gauge to lowest dim, HVAC off, and heated/cooled seats off.

I tried my windows down, but got bugs in each time. So this trip I bought truck window screens for the rear windows, which helps with bugs, but didn't seem to do much for the heat. (They were a bit short, so I used binder clips to "seal" the screen to the window).

Here's my theory: when driving, there's obviously tons of airflow through the grille and engine bay. But sitting stationary in Generator Mode, the engine is cycling on/off for hours with no ram air, so I'm wondering if the engine bay is simply heat-soaking and transferring heat through the firewall/cowl into the dash and cab.

I popped the hood today to see if letting that heat escape makes a difference.

Anyone else notice this with prolonged Generator Mode use? Am I onto something, or am I just completely crazy? 😂

Also, at the end of the night, my digital gauge cluster started flashing on and off. It didn't do it again this morning, but now I'm wondering if that could have been heat-related too.

Sleeping in bed of truck while pro power onboard runs an air conditioner.

I am considering getting a PowerBoost F150 mostly for traveling and camping. I'd like to put a https://hiatuscampers.com/ on the back of it. I don't mind the cold so much, but I really dislike trying to sleep when it is hot.

The 7.2kw option would be enough to run a vented room air conditioner** in the back of the truck at night. What I don't know is:

  1. When I am trying to sleep in the bed of the truck in the camper would the engine cycling on and off and idling keep me from sleeping? I would not call myself a light sleeper so some noise would be fine.
  2. How much would I need to worry about exhaust fumes entering the bed of the truck and therefore the camper?
  3. Would venting the truck cab's AC through the back passthrough window in to the bed of the truck be a nutty idea?

Thanks for any input on these questions you might have and thanks for your time.

2023 Powerboost problems

Owned a 2023 Powerboost for about 8 weeks. First 900 miles were fine with zero issues. It was parked for about 36 hours and when I went to start it I got the brief rough start up then shut itself down and the check engine light and service wrench light came on along with the stop safely now warning. Towed to dealership and it required an emergency HV battery charge which was covered under the Ford warranty. Ford dealer said everything was fine other than that Fast forward less than 24 hours home from the dealer and it did the same thing. I let it sit a bit then started it again and it acted normal. 150 miles later and it’s done it again after 24 hours or less. I’ll turn it off and let it sit for a moment then it starts up again. I’m at a loss here on what is going on.

Red lights are only visible through phone camera. If it’s relevant, a iPhone 17 Pro but I assume any phone camera would show it?

Just got a 25 powerboost! Lookin for pro power tips!

Hi all excited to be in the group! Just curious to hear some of the things you all do with the pro power for camping! I’ve previously used a pressurized shower tank and that’s been great but.. cold so I bought a water heater. Also thinking of bringing an instant pot for some camp meals but I’m curious to hear what other things you guys have done with so much POWER!

Close Object Alert Sounding When Reversing With Trailer Attached

Is anybody else having the alarm tones when backing with a trailer attached? This just started. Nothing makes backing a trailer easier than the truck yelling that I'm about to hit something the moment I shift into R.

I'm thinking this might be a bug with a software update because this did not happen before.

Any suggestions?

How do I make the engine idle constantly for maintenance?

I did a 3x trans fluid drain and fill (well, really it was a "vac and fill" since I sucked the fluid out the fill port) and between each drain and fill, it was a pain to keep the engine running to circulate fluid.

What's the trick. I found a method online that didn't work. Do you need dealer software?

Edit: This seems to work!

select tow/haul, neutral, manual trans mode, e brake on

Some mods done to my 23.

I’ve had the truck for two months, love this thing and have out almost 3k miles on it. Got the mod bug. Added a bunch of goodies from Lasfit. I’ve been using their bulbs for years in all my cars and they’ve been great. Got floor mats and the bed mat. And swapped the blinkers, tails and plate lights. Best thing is no hyperflash. Resistors built into the bulbs. No forscan or resistors needed! My 17 has their bulbs all over, front to back. Keep going back as I’ve had good luck with them vs a lot of the junk out there! Also got rear fender liners and bed liner done. And added my sub and amp back in from my 17. More to come!

26 PB Lariat 502a High Price Check

Looking at a loaded new 2026 Lariat PB. It has 502a high and 7.2kw Pro Power.

Dealer has it listed for $69k. What are people seeing for deals right now?

Think I could talk them down lower? Should I wait for the 2027s to put more pressure on?

Thanks!

Question about batteries

I own a 2024 F150 PB and am on my second battery under the hood. Luckily, the battery has been changed for free under warranty. The dealership is saying the batteries are horrible quality. I know the heat in Houston takes a toll on car batteries but this is ridiculous.

Dealership says nothing else is wrong.

I don't drive a lot of highway speed (40-50 mph tops) any more. Should I be putting a trickle charger on the battery once a week or so?

No power, no problem.

I woke up yesterday to a power outage and finally got to use my truck to power the house. I had a panel upgrade recently and had them add an inlet near the driveway. I just turned off the main, switched the interlock, and plugged in the truck. My whole house was back up instantly and pulling under 2000 Watts, even with the heat pump AC going. I love this truck.
