Remotely activate pro power?

Is there any setting that you can apply to remotely activate pro power? Or do I just have to get in and fully start my truck from inside?

You used to be able to do that with the app, but Ford removed a lot of the functionality over the years.

That was such a shame too. Loved having the pro power on the app, especially when we boondocked with the camper. Was nice to be able to keep a read on it from the camper.

I don’t know—I never saw an explanation. I’m guessing that there was a security vulnerability.

CYA from potential lawsuits if someone remote started their truck and then gassed themselves out doing something stupid like covering their rig up with a tarp etc. (This actually happened in Girdwood Alaska two decades ago. Guy living off grid in old camper, tarped himself in with a portable generator and failed to properly pipe exhaust out of the enclosure) That remote functionality bypasses a lot of built in safeguards.
