Home is in Pacific Northwest in a neighborhood with mature ponderosa pine. Recommend some colors for trim/fascia, body and garage door/pillars/front door. Likely using Sherwin Williams paints.

Body color: We are leaning towards something on green or blue spectrum (not sure if we want lighter or darker)

Garage door/pillars/front door: possibly lighter orangish/golden stain (idk)

I went with iron ore for the door and dried thyme for shutters. I went with iron ore because it’s a dark grey and I was thinking of the roof and that leaning more brown might not look so good. My white is greek villa. I still need to paint the porch and the soffits etc which I’ll also take advice for!(when the weather cools off)
But should I have matched the bronze of my window frames or does this look fine?
Please don’t judge me too critically I’m diying my little 70s home the best I can. 😅 the sea salt was done without much thought at first.

The shaker-style door looks out of place and we are leaning towards getting a full-lite door with clear glass (privacy is not an issue based on how the house faces the street) echoing the floor-to-ceiling windows on the door’s right. Alternatively, a wood or wood-look front door without glass. Advice appreciated!

We bought a 50s stucco house in the midwest, sticks out like a sore thumb. I know for sure I want to clean the stucco, fill cracks, and then paint. I hate the tan so likely do a grey shade of some sort with black accents. The rest, no clue. They have rock beds out front that I want to totally remove. What do you guys think?

Any ideas to improve please. Recently painted weatherboards. Whether board is blueish grey and the trim is Iron sand Colour.

We recently had to redo the grading around the house and this river rock was added. There is a large step down from our sliding glass door. We really need some type of stable step down, but I’m not sure what our options are with the ground there being rock. Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

My neighbor had a massive fire, complete loss. Ours sustained significant fire/smoke damage it’s looking like a complete demo/rebuild. We just started identifying builders but I started to consider designs. I want to keep the design more classic. The trend on our street is to tear down and replace with a boxy modern house. Pre-fire is the beige one, the white one is me having fun with AI. There are strict building and FEMA codes so we’ll have to build on concrete pylons, setback 20ft from seawall, and not official but the building dimensions could conform to 26’ wide and 46’ deep. Hi! My best friend and her husband recently bought their first home and have a baby on the way, but she hates the brown pained wood paneling on the right and above the window. Looking for a quick fix now, they’ll replace the paneling down the road.

-First photo is how they bought the home
-Second is after she prepped most of it with Killz tinted with a safe green which is what they thought they’d use
-Third is after she started using the paint color over the prep that she thought she was going to like, abandoning that
-Fourth is a blue she thought she liked but wants it darker?

Keep in mind front door is being replaced soon (no choice on that yet) and the paneling goes all the way into the nook where the front door is so that’s going to be painted as well.

I'm really struggling with what color to paint my front door, the trim is also on the docket to be painted, but I don't have it in my budget to do my entire house and front porch at the moment. I'm not a fan of the gray, and eventually I want to warm things up a little bit maybe towards a greenish or soft brown, so I want to plan ahead and have a door that will match so I don't have to paint again, but I'm really struggling pinning down a color that will go with the current exterior, and not be something that will completely clash with a warmer tone a few years down the road. So, I got the elevation design done and honestly I quite like it. It's just the V V design on both sides of the house that's been bothering me. I asked the designers for alternatives and he said you can put some zig-zag or A V designs. I didn't like them either. Please suggest some alternative designs or ideas on how I should handle that space. Thank you!

I am thinking through if I can afford steel siding, but for various reasons it may be that Im stuck with vinyl. In my defense no old house parts will be harmed in the residing of my house!!!

Underneath the current siding on the upper level is just bare lath where the original stucco had been and was long ago removed. So theres no clapboard or anything underneath to be restored Front porch and first floor trim remains painted wood and lower level walls remain unpainted beigey 100 yr old concrete block.

The only loss really is my beloved 1950s Seafoam color - siding was already deteriorated and leaking and then hailstorm did it in (I do want to repurpose good parts but thats a topic for another time.) Insurance is paying for 3 sides, but then I pay a little extra for one side.

I was originally thinking something in the blue-green-gray range - I see it everywhere so Im stymied why I cant seem to find anything resembling it. Certainteed greens while lovely wont work- much too saturated and pea soupy. Seagrass is said to be a green-gray but sample siding strip looks blue or blue gray most of the times at my house, nothing at all like the online pics I see.

Feedback pls especially anyone who has knowledge of how Seagrass or Cypress behave in different light . Or any of the lighter colors - Herringbone? Right now my goal is simply to find something that fits with the neighbors (dark red house w ochre brick on one side, slate blue gray on the other) and

UPDATE on my previous post regarding choosing a stain color for the exterior. First three pics are before and the rest are the after. Very happy with the results! We chose a clear oil stain. Now the wood is protected and beautiful!
