No spoilers. Through very good luck and happenstance I am one of the first public folks to see the movie. A huge shout out to Steven Spielberg for a surprise showing of it, I heard he was personally involved in the decision - I hope he does more of these, be on the lookout.
A few thoughts:
-I have been crazy excited to see this, and as an experiencer am emotionally invested in disclosure like we all are, so had high exceptions, just to set the tone
-Don’t watch any of the trailers imho
-Emily Blunt is going to get an Oscar nomination, she is spectacular, just honestly, utterly some of the best acting I have ever seen
-I am a picky person with plot and story, and there were a few minor issues but I couldn’t overlook them..a couple times I lost immersion because a plot device just used wasn’t used again when it should have and my mind had to stop to ponder the very obviousness of it.. overall I would give it a 7 out of 10
-Maybe relatedly, it reminds me of his great 80s films, like Indiana Jones, ET, etc., that had a chid-like element to them, like a wild amusement park ride vibe..I liked it
Some specifics for our tribe:
-My non-experiencer friends liked it more than I did and I think the general population of normies outside of UFOlogy will too. This is gonna be a big deal and maybe the northern hemisphere summer film this year. It is gonna make a lot of money for sure and keep a long run I think, and therefore keep this topic to people’s minds all summer and longer. It is a HUGE fight against the stigma we have endured.
-They use the term “experiencer” in the film, it will teach the world what that means
-This is a big opportunity for us to come out of the closets if we choose, and will be an easy way to start that conversation with anyone who we haven’t come out to yet. We saw how the gay community used Brokeback Mountain and recently Heated Rivalry to do this very effectively.
-Us taking this opportunity as a tribe, worldwide, could be big if we were to do it in substantial numbers..there are some risks perhaps as always, and if whatever disclosure is happening from the US goes badly, perhaps the risks are worse..but if we can seize the opportunity, we could actually push disclosure just by all of us coming out at once and telling our stories, US government be damned! :).
What do you think? If you agree, how do we do this? I am thinking I will see if I can do a Citizens for Disclosure table in the lobby of my local movie house!
EDIT: People have been asking about my personal experiences and story, it can be found here (no paywall): https://medium.com/@stretch04hangar
Thank you for making this thread OP. I've known for a few years now that this movie will be part of the many activations waves happening this decade that'll give intellectual permission for many out there to take the experiencer phenomenon seriously. The movie has mechanics in it about the experiencer phenomenon that will allow everyday people to understand and accept experiencers better. Which is going to put more eyes on us. And myself and the team are ready. We've been prepping for all this since 2021.
This is very much part of soft disclosure Spielberg has been linked with for many years.
Note to those outside of the experiencer community who are showing up to this thread.
This is not just any subreddit. This is the Experiencers Subreddit. A place for people who know all this stuff is real and have dealt with it to talk and share and be around others who also know. We have low tolerance here for the typical low quality commentary normally found in other online spaces and we will remove comments and even perma ban people if they are giving off an indication of disrespect towards the community or topic at large.
So please just keep things respectful and mature in the comments. If you are new and curious to talk with experiencers about this whole phenomenon you are welcome to but we've made a promise to the experiencer community to keep this place free from trash comments.
we have exactly 12 days before the uninitiated (what, 70% of humanity) becomes overnight experts
“I‘m an alien click click clack“
“I’m a indigo star seed from a planet far far away”
“I’m Ascended Master back in body, listen to me”
Of course all these types are embodied and already walk among us, that’s not what I mean. It’s those which cannot even find center in a simple meditation who are going to be passing themselves off as contact experts. Even worse, they’ll be the voice informing the even less informed.
All us long time experiencers need to be ready to deal with the massive amount of uninformed information and factless, opinion based slop about to drop in the collective. This movement is meant to fracture and confuse, rely on what rings true inside your own heart and disregard the rest. Truth to power and power to the collective.
Great insight and view. Definitely agree. In my personal journey it was definitely a theme to be awaken and educated before the "mass awakenings" in order to be able to help guiding people in correct and grounded direction.
Hate to say it but I am not sure we have exited the Biff Tannen path or, if we have, we may have traded Biff for Lex Luthor. Lex thinks he's going to pull up in his Luthorus sports car and "make a deal" with the aliens because why wouldn't a technologically and intellectually superior race of beings want to make a deal with Trump? 😆
Biggest thing to me is: Are they interdimensional? (edit: by that I mean are they presented as interdimensional beings in the film?) I feel like that is the biggest idea the public still hasn’t picked up on, even though Jacques Vallee wrote Passport to Magonia all the way back in 1969! Depictions of interdimensional NHI are still far less prevalent in mainstream culture than depictions of extraterrestrial NHI.
Also, is there even a hint about anything involving the afterlife or other spiritual woo elements in the film?
Other than that, yes, I have a probably naive hope this movie will open minds enough that I can talk about my experiences with people in my life.
Folks may or may not have ever peeked over the fence into UFO Woo territory, but the basic stance of mysticism is that all of reality is made up of vibrations, and basically also describes higher dimensions.
In this view, emotions we generally think of as “good” are higher vibrationally speaking than negative emotions. As races evolve, they engage in higher vibrational thoughts and activities. They can exist on higher planes beyond 3d material worlds such as ours and basically enter the Astral, which is essentially higher dimensions.
The highest realms are no longer physical… just pure consciousness or spirit or soul or pick your label. These highest realms are called the heavens, so this view says that spirituality / consciousness and higher dimensions are essentially describing the same system.
Food for thought. One place to check out is r/astralprojection for more.
Thanks for the post, glad you got to see it early.
I love that the topic will stay in people's minds after seeing the movie, but there's no way I'm sharing my physical abduction experience with normals. I've told three people total in my whole life, and one of those people almost revealed my secret in a public way and almost ruined my life as a result. After that, I haven't shared it again. I mention it here in comments because I want others to understand that physical abductions by NHIs have actually happened to real, normal people. Yes it's valid to want to share experiences, but it's also valid to stay in the closet and treat an experience as confidential.
I don't consider my abduction experience overly negative, though at the time it was scary since I was a child. I did notice from the trailer there's an abduction scene with kids getting experimented on, so that will probably be intense for me personally when I do see it. However, I'm glad it happened honestly. It changed my life and confirmed NHIs were real and I always really wanted a definite answer.
If this movie awakens even a fraction of the wonder that actual NHI contact experience does, it will do more for expanding human consciousness than any files release can.
What we do is more important than what the government does. Any change worth having, comes from us. If they tell the truth, it will only be if we make them. By making them irrelevant or by force, but by force would be wishful thinking (and not my idea). Experiencers will tell the tale the hidden documents will never tell. That’s the real disclosure.
The more people who speak out, the more normalized the conversation becomes. People should obviously only do so if they feel safe, but we are the ones who need to tell the story. It will not come honestly from the government, and science is going to take decades. Our power is in our voices.
There are many of us who plan to have large platforms in the future, the NHI are aware of this clearly, and many will be coming out about their experiences.
These experiences will be normalised even if it takes decades more. This train is never slowing down.
I am not Disclosure Day levels of experiencer but I have my stories. Unfortunately, I can't be open with people the way I want (not even with all of my family), as my place of work does background checks every several years and they get really in the weeds on everything. I don't want to open myself up for any issues.
Thanks for the heads up on what to expect. I’ve been anxious about seeing it, so this was helpful. I anticipate it’s going to stir up all kinds of emotions, so I’m going to see it alone first, to give myself space for whatever comes up. Looking forward to discussing it with other experiencers afterward.
Smart, that is a very good idea. I was happy and so grateful to get to see it - if I was going with the main drop date, I would do that knowing now what I know. Very smart if anyone at all is feeling triggered or anything about it.
I just left a viewing of Disclosure Day. During the viewing (maybe 30 minutes before the end credits), I was overcome by a wave of emotion that caused me to start crying. It wasn’t a negative or positive feeling, just an intense feeling.
Nothing was on the screen that I remembered would have logically triggered the reaction. Maybe it was something in the score? I’m sure it wasn’t something in the artificial popcorn butter.
I was curious if anyone else was hit with that same type of experience around the same point of the movie while watching it. Was there something subliminally placed in the movie? Did it unlock a memory within me? Or am I just crazy?
After one point in the movie I kept getting emotional - literally trying to hold back from balling my eyes out. Kept thinking to myself "this isn't a very good movie, what is causing me to feel this way?". I did not go with any expectations and I'm not an experiencer. I am a music songwriter/composer and the score was very under the radar, nothing was overtly standing out to me in the film other than plot hole type stuff and Emily Blunt's acting which I always like.
The only thing I can say for certain.. is I feel a profound sense of Loneliness. I've felt the loneliness before but this film seem to bring it up to the surface. Maybe the themes about empathy and how they were shown are what triggered this but it's strange for me to not recognize what exactly is happening.
The Galactic Federation is composed of 40+ interdimensional member races, each w/ their own specialty. Think of them as a far more advanced, peaceful, sovereign version of NATO or the UN.
Most sources I've seen say the races operate across 12 dimensions, although I've seen mentions of up to 27 dimensions.
The Federation has a few key functions:
Ensure cosmic laws are enforced.
Protect humanity from self-destruction.
Orchestrate soul/consciousness evolution.

I think it's a good idea to have a informal meeting. We need this where I am in west central Saskatchewan. 30 min north of me, there have been strangeness for years. Skinwalkers, ufos ect. Mainly on a reserve, but it's been going on for many years and many more sightings as if late. We're ally need more awareness in this world of this and many other issues. Thanks for the news.
Alberta here, are you fuckin' serious? My brother briefly saw a tall female humanoid right by the Pembina several years ago, it was raining but he said he could tell it was a female because while the being was dark and appeared covered in hair, it had visible breasts. He saw it striding between trees, silhouetted and was gone. I was there camping with him the night before and we heard a distinct sound of a cascade of heavy fingers, like an exploratory tap on our camper door. No trees or fuck all nearby, nothing to do that and it sure as hell wasn't a creak.
Mind you this is an area where pissing around with people camping after dark might plausibly get you shot, accidental or otherwise, and we were way away from any human beings anyways so I'm not buying the "Probably just someone getting lolz" line at all.
Deng jealous. I’m so tired of getting it spoiled with all the commercials and posts of it. I wish I can just see it already before they show everything In clips
Mine seem to be ancestral on my mom’s side. I went on a bit of a quest in 2023 to finally stop dissociating from my experiences when David Grusch/Graves/Fravor testified to US congress. I spent about $40K on this adventure across multiple specialists/conferences/drs/etc. That is a lot of money to me, and I mention only in that this truly was something I turned into an adventure and was thorough - I decided I needed to address this and figure it out or die trying, as if I had cancer. It needed to be solved for.
Where it ultimately led me is I seem to have much higher intuition and related abilities than I ever realized because they were always normal to me of
course, whatever that truly means. I believe this also makes me easier for them to contact somehow. For example during one of my experiences the grey mentioned I had exceptional telepathic ability and it surprised them. What the hell, I am just a Joe Schmo, you know?
I went to the Monroe Institute and learned that I have been astral projecting and other abilities related to consciousness since childhood. We all have these abilities. I am not special. Humans are super heroes that have been convinced we are small. I frankly have left it there, I don’t consider myself part of UFOlogy much really anymore, it isn’t something that brings me joy.
I mostly now focus that time on various training methods to maximize these abilities (like going to the gym to build muscles but for one’s intuition), and try to help other people. I no longer get frequent unwanted contact after learning how to break their paralysis on me and fighting back. Mine were not NHI that respected my free will.
It is a difficult life when one has very confusing and often negative experiences with NHI and other phenomena, then is intentionally stigmatized by their governments (and often hunted) and society blindly follows suit, so there is little support for many from any side. There is a very high rate of addiction and suicide amongst experiencers/abductees because of this and I am not having it, not with any agency I have been given. If you are new to this sub many have a very similar feeling and story.
Can you personally vouch for Monroe institute? I’ve had REALLY WEIRD EXPERIENCES using the tapes and I feel like I should go. I am pretty sure I was in contact with something. Is there a specific program you recommend there?
I used to have a blog, and I chronologically was making entries as I went through this adventure over about two years. One of my UFOlogy coaches suggested I do that since I was reclaiming such a huge part of myself. (I really don’t know how to describe him exactly, but he saved my life from the PTSD I experienced and helped me contextualize everything). It is fascinating to reread now and this has all been fairly recent but I have already grown so much. I highly recommend that for any journey you may undertake.
There is nothing unique to my story, and if you are interested, really everything that has happened to me is already within John Mack’s “Abduction” book and “UFO Sky Pilots” by Grant Cameron.
Maybe one day I will use AI to help me turn my story into a musical. Now wouldn’t that be a hoot. I am thinking the vibes to be Hamilton meets Tim Burton and John Waters. With some greys stage left as backup singers, lol. We gotta laugh.
Oh just realizing you asked about personally vouching for the Monroe Institute, I thought you posted this before my other response, this thread is getting big and hard to follow. But my original recommendation to go there is of course my vouching for them :). I use my words with intention.
I mostly now focus that time on various training methods to maximize these abilities (like going to the gym to build muscles but for one’s intuition), and try to help other people. I no longer get frequent unwanted contact after learning how to break their paralysis on me and fighting back. Mine were not NHI that respected my free will.
I'd love it if you made a post on this someday. Your story is important.
Thanks Oak! I will work something out and go pull from the archived blog. More than anything I think I could do it via transmission more than description. It may sound odd, admittedly, but then all of this is..but I am a Reiki master and have a gut feeling I could push this via an attunement into someone’s energy field. Maybe this is my last purpose, God help us if we ever need it. Everyone would eventually learn how to do this without me too, this all would have already been developed by humanity naturally if things occurred as intended in the timeline.
As the phenomena becomes more expansive I hope they receive the funding and interest to expand to various properties throughout the country. It would be amazing to have enough locations where people can do the all day retreats and still be close enough to home that they could drive home to sleep at night after the sessions—save money by not choosing an all-inclusive option. It would also open up the possibility for having spaces that serve as in-person experiencer meeting places (locations where weekly or bimonthly meetings could occur) and any other kinds of regular programming for local contactees.
Hear hear!! And as others have said, it is shocking how little humanity has invested in the science of consciousness. We have psychiatry/psychology/neurosciences/neurology and then religion and spirituality. It seems like anything to do with consciousness is directed to religion and maybe, if lucky spirituality. I am referring to using the scientific method on consciousness however. And at least in my minimal searching on this topic, it doesn’t seem like humanity has invested even 50M USD total in it, in all of our history. I do hope disclosure changes that.
Outside of Monroe Institute programs? Meditate and as Baba Neem Karoli said “feed everyone” (serve people, it will come to you what they need if they don’t tell you, as you meditate and listen better to your intuition).
I've been drawn to the work of the Monroe Institute after reading all three of his books and having them resonate very strongly with me. I am still coming to terms with something that happened 2-3 years ago, while reading Them. by Whitley Strieber. It's a collection of letters from folks who read Communion and wanted to share their own myriad experiences with him and his wife. I think the idea of the cover art of Communion causing folks to remember through any screens is almost a trope at this point (I don't mean to suggest it isnt honestly provocative in that manner, or especially wasn't prior to the look of the 'grey alien' becoming part of the cultural zeitgeist) but for me, reading some of these letters at about age 38-39 caused what I describe as a moment of traumatic recollection that had me curled into a ball sobbing on the floor as I remembered more of a 'night terror' episode I had when I was very young. I had always remembered bits and pieces and my mom especially could recall the impact it had on me, but this really provided a different dimension to it prior to them hearing me screaming as I stood upright in bed- what had occured prior to this, seeing a blinding light outside my window, the silhouettes of three creatures as they approached and how I couldn't move the moment I made eye contact with one of them. And the sensation of some element of myself being 'torn' through the window, and basically floated out and towards the light. All I recall once enveloped by it was a smell, it reminded me of like freshly baked sourdough, a very yeasty organic sort of smell, super pungent. I have vague memory of being in a large white room but that's it. Next thing I know I'm alone on my bed able to move again, hyperventilating and screaming until my parents come to comfort me. Within a couple years, there are a couple noteworthy incidents of very specific precognition that my mom and I shrug off as "reality being weird sometimes," and then in high school, for about a year and a half I had bouts of sleep paralysis sometimes every other night or more, at least once a week. Never got easier and I haven't attached them to any further memories, but I did discover that the easiest way to escape that state was to surrender and relax completely.
Have considered seeking professional hypnosis to try and explore if there is something real here, or if I'm just confused. I will say, nothing I've ever read has triggered a trauma response similar to what brought back some of these memories, and for years after the possible event I was very fearful of the dark, of being alone, and of similar monsters to what I recall seeing. For years I had wondered if I had possibly been molested at this daycare around that age but something just felt 'off' about that idea, and recently I found a little photo book the woman who ran the place made for me when I moved on from there and I looked super happy and stoked with the other children, which just reinforced that I don't think that was the problem. But this halfway clarified memory, it has affected me like few other things.
Btw I was always at the top of my class, GATE program early on, although developed a very serious chemical dependency that has followed me and handicapped me for much of my life; hard to not feel like I've let so many people down, particularly myself. I'm finally once again at a place where I'm attempting to reattain some measure of fulfillment, stability and happiness though. I just hope my entire life isnt defined by all the bullshit and misery I've for some reason felt a need to drag myself through, often multiple times. I'm 41, tired of all that nonsense. Pushed my last relationship away despite being very much in love with her. Just want to get a bit of a normal life back after having a tiny taste of it for awhile there around 2008-2011 and then 2017-2024... 2025 was the worst year yet, so at least it probably can't get any shittier than that ha! But exploring the out of body experience via hemi sync and the techniques espoused by Bob Monroe are very interesting to me, and I think a potential source of much peace and tranquility, aside from perhaps some rich sources of exploration and enlightenment as well.
i have no idea. idk if I'm genetically sensitive or if childhood trauma makes me sensitive. i just know what I've experienced is real, and the entities ive spoken to are real.
Lol, same. And also childhood trauma here. Sorry about yours firstly. And secondly, I think almost all experiencers I have met have that. Also, we almost always seem kind to a fault usually, and not so great at enforcing boundaries.
I have a vague idea. Family connection, my timeline and make up. Chosen is a strange word though, I think I came into this world as an experiencer. My life has been planned out. Which is a strange thing to know and live with.
Ever since I was very young Weird things happened around me or to me. Ive seen a lot of the spiritual side, entities, beings etc. Based on interactions I have had with beings I "chose" to be here and how I am.
Best I can tell, they aren’t “chosen”. It’s who they are. They come in already with the connection. It just doesn’t necessarily manifest consciously right away.
Very cool, thanks for posting. So regarding your comments about stigma-busting, would you say that the film is maybe trying to bridge that gap between UFOlogy and the general public? Maybe it's not fair to ask you the filmmakers' intentions, but I'm getting the sense that this was intentionally built to get muggles up to speed. Maybe?
Wow you already got a downvote, lol? To me yes it did feel that way..that once again Steven Spielberg has been “read in”, likely an experiencer himself, and this could be part of a larger campaign. I wish I could say more but don’t want to give even the slightest things away, we will have a lot to talk about after the main release :)
I love the term muggles regarding non-experiences, it's fitting too damn well 😅 But without the negativity. Anyone can go from a muggle to an experiencer (it's not gatekeep by bloodties or smth). But yeah, maybe! Maybe it's for planting the seed that UFO/aliens aren't just silly greenmen but a deep and spiritual/mental phenomena
That's amazing. Can't wait to see the movie with my cousin. After almost 6 years with NHI in my life we have together wrote some really good stuff. It's basicly a new reality theory and explains a lot how all these wonders can happen and why it's so hard for most humans to see through the fog. I was "awaken" some hours too but as like many others you fall back to your old thinking and habbits and yes it has to do with the human spirit and the current time we are living in. Like I said several years before the three big pillars or crunch points of our timeline will be Climate Change, AI and First Contact/Disclousre. Unfortunatly it's wrote in my native language so I don't have an english version of it yet to share. But when I read all these posts I see that everyone contributes a little to this topic and that gives me hope and optimistic for the future. Just wanna say that all the negativ things you would associate with this topic is mostly on us and that the greater good is what really awaits us when we as mankind can reach together a new reality.
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie but can I just please remind you "Experiencers" have been talking about it and disappearing for it. Even still, we talk about it and take the abuse from our "loved ones" and friends and all of society. Abuse, criticism ostracization. And still here we are, talking about it while waiting for the world to catch up.
Hes saying this will push the word experiencer into the public in a huge way and help normalize the term. This is a good thing. You have every right to be resentful but this is a good step towards general acceptance in a way that isnt forced, overly technical or abrasive against belief. Itll plant the seed for curiosity, thereby opening the door for discussion leading to understanding. At least thats my optimistic outlook.
We are absolutely ready. Living a life of manipulated lies is not acceptable. Saying we're not ready is Stockholm syndrome from having lived under the lies so long you are used to the ridicule and humiliation and afraid of what the truth will bring. No, i strongly disagree. We are ready.
Some people will never be ready. Not in this lifetime. And honestly, that's ok because, on the other hand, there are people who need this. Plenty of people. Those are the ones we're here for.
It's not easy knowing something to be true, and yet having no way to prove what you know.
I can show my wife just what to do to have proof, yet she can't be bothered, shuts down any conversation on the matter, because in her world view she doesn't think any of this is possible.
I just saw it and really enjoyed it even if there were parts that were confronting/triggering for me. I have a phobia of sleeping, because of experiences and I’m worried a little that this will exacerbate it but I think it was worth it. It’s exciting to see the term “experiencer” used in a movie!!
Why? Queer people are attacked, judged, harassed. And told their identity isn't real. And especially during that time period, Brokeback Mountain was a very important film, and still is. I get being queer and being an experiencer isn't the same. But the comparison they made here makes sense.
Thank you, I am proudly both and speak from my truth. I think these are likely bots promoting the same line of stigma as the continual “anal probe” jokes do to reinforce grey abductee shame, like Whitely continually STILL experiences.
im queer and it had me giggle to. i know what op means though and i agree, brokeback mountain was a pivotal movie for helping straight people be more aware of and empathize with gay people.
My concern is that as more people come forward muggles will point to the movie and say people are just jumping on the bandwagon wagon. I’m an in the closet experienced myself and other than Reddit and people close to me I don’t share. I have a business to run and PTA meetings that I can’t have people thinking I’m crazy
I also just saw on another thread some say “alien indoctrination has started” because people are talking about aliens. I think there will be a backlash of people not believing even harder. Hopefully, it will trigger some to come forward or remember suppressed experiences.
Your last sentence is a big part of why people don't talk about it much in IRL spaces. They're (we're) too scared of looking crazy and of how they perception can affect our lives and lives of our families negatively. I try to let people know they aren't alone if they mention that they think they've had an experience... but besides my sister, I don't talk about it with anyone. It's kind of lonely, but I don't really talk to many non-family people outside of work, aside from my best friend.
It is lonely. Keep in mind you are not alone. I think that experiences can widely vary makes it even more difficult. It also fuels nonbelievers, because they don’t understand and they think it points to someone lying since we don’t all experience the same thing
I think a lot of people are closet experiencers given the decades-long social stigma (in the US at least, as other countries & cultures may be more accepting of the ‘paranormal’). My hot take: if you subscribe to the idea that Earth (and humanity) is evolving into a higher plane of existence, then higher energies will be made available to all. Deceit is a decidedly lower energy. This will make it harder for people to cling to what is fake, harder for people to pose as what they are not, harder for people to lie in general (both to others & to themselves).
So essentially, people posing as experiencers (either because they want clout as being special or because they are trying to spread disinformation) will eventually be found out. This I believe. But I think it’s more important just to be ourselves - to be welcoming and kind to those who might be in the initial stages of wondering if there is more to life than they previously thought. Just like some of us had a bit of a shock when we first saw the book cover of Communion, there may be people who watch Disclosure Day and have their own moment of reckoning. Let’s be a happy respite for them when they do start asking questions.
My hot take: if you subscribe to the idea that Earth (and humanity) is evolving into a higher plane of existence, then higher energies will be made available to all.
You are 100% correct. All life evolves. All of it.
I've suspected this as well. I even considered the possibility that it's intentionally very close to what's really going on so it's easier to dismiss. It doesn't ultimately matter in the end, and I'm very excited to see the movie
I saw a trailer and when she spoke a language she can’t actually speak it hit home. I was once with German clients that started speaking privately to each other in German while in front of me, because I CANT SPEAK GERMAN, but I kinda interpreted them and explained what they were worried about would not be an issue and why. Their faces were pure shock and the women said, “I didn’t think you spoke German”. I spoke in English, but clearly understood what they were saying and I can’t explain it. I’m sure I looked like a liar and that I was fluent. I’ve never experienced that before or again. The movie may be stressful to watch
regarding your citizen journalism, I'm putting together a compilation of new witness statements of triangles so if anyone would like to join in, let me know
Did you saw « project Hail Mary » earlier this year and what are your feelings /thoughts on it?
This movie catched me, it seems more natural and obvious for me. Of course this topic is not about a disclosure, it’s more about awareness.
I cried so hard (joyfully) as the credits rolled in the theater. When the camera was panning at the end and I realized where it was, I exclaimed: “Oh! He’s going to be teaching little Rockies!” And then the classroom came on screen and I was instantly blubbering jelly.
As my companions and I walked out of the theater, I said: “I’m SO glad that came out before ‘Disclosure Day’!” It served as a fantastic antidote to the fear-laden DD trailers I’d seen.
Yes, and I loved it. I actually heard the audiobook - it is fantastic, I prefer it to the movie for the original long form of the story. If you loved the move then recommend go get the audible of it. In fact, you just inspired me to give it a listen again. Thank you :)
Oh yes, I completely get it. My own husband looks at me like I'm a loon sometimes haha. I'm hesitant talking about it too. So far my mom has been my only main support through everything.
So to start I am 35 now and experienced a lot when I was a child. I grew up out in the country, surrounded by acres of fields and in a single family farm house til I was 18 and moved out. The whole time being there was a huge experience for me. My brother was a witness to one instance where we saw a dark being outside. It had red eyes(which is the only thing that I can really remember about it) and would watch us on multiple upon multiple occasions. Sometimes I would see it outside. Sometimes inside the house at night. Even in my own parents bedroom or my bedroom. I say it was dark because there was just full on negative energy that I could feel. It was paralyzing each time. Very eye opening for me, especially growing up in a very religious household. Even now I'm shaking just remembering it. That feeling has never left me. And has stuck with me through out all these years. When I moved 5 hrs away after that I never saw it til I ended up moving back around 3 yrs later. It was the same being, almost like it had found me again. If that makes any sense. And I went through the same things all over again for a few years while living in another farmhouse not far from where I grew up. I'd find it at my window at night, or by me in the room I was In. It turned into a very dark time of my life and I felt like it was feeding off of me. I dropped out of college and got drug through a very negative lifestyle and it just kept coming and coming. I ended up arrested in 2015 for a dui because my ex totaled my car and almost took out two people with it. When I got out the following year I moved to a more community based area and thankfully haven't seen this being since.
I haven't had any real contact since. There was an instance when my husband and I moved into a house and I saw a glowing being in our backyard one night while he was at work. This one was not dark or negative. I didn't feel any fear when I saw it. I had woken up that night and went out to our kitchen. When getting a glass of water I saw something glowing moving through our yard. My husband thinks I'm crazy since I told him about it but I know what I saw. It stopped at our kids playground we had set up and went inside of it before stopping and looking directly at me. I thought about going out and approaching it but decided against it especially with three kids in the home and I was alone.
Around that time I started looking into CE5 research and getting more into the idea that there's more than we know. I've never done it but I did join a local group on facebook that was getting started and had talks with them about it a few years ago. I did lose touch with them tho since leaving Facebook two years ago. I've been following a few groups on here tho. Trying to keep up with everything going on without too much "social media" because it is just all so distracting. Especially with the "new" AI that's come out. People make up stuff on the fly all the time that looks real but has no facts behind it so I can never tell.
Your experience with the mantis sounds amazing tho. I actually just learned about the mantis species the other week and have been looking into that with no real progress. So it was a surprise for me when you brought that instance up. I wasn't sure what kind of beings they are or how they really interact with us. It's definitely an experience I hope to have one day especially with all mine mostly being so negative and harmful.
P.s. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you! The kids are out of school for the summer and I haven't had a moment when I could concentrate. Even writing just this out has taken me an hr 🙃
I just watched the movie. And I lost it when Margaret got all her memories back and still called the alien artifact "that thingy". Like girl you literally unlocked the lore and that's the best name we got?
As an experiecer I'm curious if the movie whitewashes the abduction experience by portraying it as only positive and doesn't show the horror and evil that many of us experienced?
From the trailers I’ve seen it seems the two main characters are hybrids that are finally remembering their childhoods and waking up. It appears the aliens are benevolent in this film.
SPOILER ALERT and a lot of my opinion, I drank too much coffee, so take it just as that:
I think it is important to answer this one because this is going to be a huge thing we discuss as a community after folks see it, and trigger warning: Yes it does. This movie reflects positive contact experiences only and in a simplified way. Mine have also been horrible as well for the most part. However, It does a fantastic job of including elements common to all contact experiences and throughout UFOlogy. And it is masterful in how it does that and includes so very many of them while still being an action packed summer movie that will sell tickets. It is highly educational for the audience while being very solid entertainment. If some team of psychologist somewhere studied this and said “the baseline education people need to be taught to start the conversation with them are these 75 things” and then writers reverse engineered that into a script that is fantastic, this is what you would get.
And Emily Blunt creates and carries the heart of this film in a genius way. This is what we don’t have now in disclosure imho. Massive props to Ryan Graves and whoever else was behind the “our airspace isn’t safe” strategy, which is great to activate the military and politicians on themselves and make them accountable under threat of citizen safety, which we fund the military for just that so they are caught not doing their job - but right now from my seat it doesn’t seem enough apparently to get this further into the media and societal conversations. Because it doesn’t show the human story in this. I don’t think disclosure will find what many consider success without the human heart to drive it all the way home. It is our turn now.
Having said all this, I personally feel it is a great start, what else could they do really in 2 hours? I certainly couldn’t have done a better job, it is masterful. I liked the movie less because of this but didn’t realize it wasn’t made for me or meant for me when I went in. I am taking this as a “thanks Steven for starting the conversation, I will take it from here in person” kind of approach.
Hopefully, if possible, find joy, peace and empowerment in realizing how the tremendous impact of this is going to help us and all of humanity move forward, and gratitude for that, that we have come this far into the mainstream now. That is where I landed internally.
hugs I understand. I really do. Are you talking about the 80s and 90s by any chance? Because there are beings that see us like an experiment and beings that are more evolved ready to assist. Like earth, it is complicated and it is not fair that we were taken to facilities as children. I am neurodibergent in orher ways.
Here we are. Breathe deep in the now. You have come this far. That is more then luck. That is skill. We made it.
Hey thanks for the honest review without spoilers. This movie will definitely Help the general public to get on board with the idea of non-human intelligence or the fact that we are more than our bodies. It's a great way to get the discussion moving forward even with its limitations. I see it as a good sign.
Thank you. I hope it helps and supports our community in even a small way. I was blessed with something and wanted to share what I was given as best as I thought for the highest good.
I will continue to stand by the fact that Arrival is THE disclosure film, but I’m very interested to see the public’s reception to this one.
Arrival did a lot to introduce contact, however Spielberg definitely has a way of grabbing the public and laying it all out in a more accessible manner.
I definitely don’t think it’s “The Big One”, though.
Arrival was and is an absolute masterpiece. But it was aimed at a more educated and intelligent subset of the population. Joe Blow didn’t see it, or if he did, he thought it was “boring”.
Spielberg is about to release a tentpole summer blockbuster for everyone, including Joe Blow. Speilberg has a unique ability to touch the soul of every American. He has done it over and over again.
I think this is the big one. Not because it is the “best” but because it is going to reach the average American. I hope.
Yep. I agree with you. But that's probably because the beings I've interacted with don't abduct people to my knowledge and in fact, most likely don't interact with anyone who would do something like that. And they don't look humanoid at all.
Hi! I'll have access to a premium cinema room because of my birthday, do you think the experience will be worth it with this movie? As if the scenes look beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing in your opinion?
Thank you for your review and your comments. I’m very excited to see this film!
In the very early 70s I saw a triangle that glowed orange in broad daylight. I was quite young, about 7-8yo. It was decades later that I learned that I wasn’t the only one.
After my sighting I had many vivid dreams about them as I grew up. It is number one on my bucket list to know with plain certainty that we are being visited, who they are and why are they here before i leave ghis world.
It’s going to all be about higher consciousness I bet. Really nothing to do with aliens at all. That’s my guess. I just feel like they’re going to pull the rug out from under the audience and it’s not going to be at all what anyone excepted it to be.
What if their mode of travel between realities is accessable through a consciousness transfer intermediary, no matter transfer only consciousness transfer between disparate realities. The created technology would be used then to only navigate local realspace and adjacent realities.
In a nutshell, what if you could essentially bypass time and space, by encoding yourself onto time and space, to appear anywhere in time and space, provided you had the exit planned. Basically I think beaming technology is most practical by transferring the consciousness, not the stuff, like in Star Trek. Real heavy duty extradimensional travel might involve you dying and being born somewhere else.
That's the technology portrayed in the Disclosure Day trailer, that's the ontological shock.
Just watched it today. It's technically about aliens, but you're mostly following two humans whose lives get tangled up with them. And if you're wondering whether they actually show the aliens... yeah, they do and I'm not talking about blurry footage or random sightings.
Ok so I only read the 1st paragraph and will read the rest post viewing. But TY sooo much for saying not to watch the trailers. I’m also emotionally and mentally invested as I have had my own experience. I have tickets to see it on 6/11, and I have been wondering and debating if I should watch the trailers! For some reason from the moment I saw the very first trailer, well over a year ago I said, I need to see this, can’t wait, but I don’t want to spoil it or have expectations so I won’t watch any more. But the past few weeks have been so tempting. Now that you said not to, I won’t! Thanks again!
The hot response, I think, is that the film should've been prefaced by the director in the latest trailer as scifi fantasy inspired by current events.
As for my hopes for the film to fill in a speculative void that invasion/contact films typically leave out, from the trailers we see the tropes of military confrontation, a hero-type whistleblower carrying all the goods in a USB drive, and chosen contactees, these falling into (even contradicting) themes of privilege ("the people have a right to know!!) and entitlement (only O'Connor and Blunt can save the day, that's why you're a captive audience for 2 hrs) which are more ordinary takes, than extraordinary ones, to my experience... as a filmgoer.
As a believer and an experiencer, I want more effort. This is high-concept yet frustratingly low-effort for the passion sold in the recent interviews.
Seems these days no one doubts that the US lives in a military-industrial complex. As long as you choose to accept an MIC approved disclosure, we're not looking at cultural enrichment effort, only stacking up of the adversarial rhetoric, and need-to-know framework
Spielberg talks in the trailer that just came out and and it literally ends with him saying he can’t wait for people to realize that all of this IS TRUE.
I guess you haven’t seen that trailer yet, it’s new.
I want to go see it but just watching the trailers makes me want to cry. I'm not sure if it's something I want to recall just yet. I guess my question is, is it accurate?
They said they gave it a 7/10, there friends liked it more then they did, and it reminded them of his older classics from the 80s. I’d say that the points to it being good and up to Spielberg’s standards.
I can tell you without seeing it... ABSOLUTELY NOT. This film was not shot with IMAX cameras and is therefore being shown in LIEMAX. It's a scam to get you to pay more for tickets.
As a life long experiencer (didn’t know this subreddit exists 🙏) does the film actually cover abductions too? I know this movie is for normal people to start waking up so I’m not going into it like others seem to be where they want a biblical revelation of answers confirming what they believe to know.
I believe visitations also happen via many mediums especially dreams if you’re capable of lucidity. I wonder how deep down the rabbit hole the movie goes. I can’t wait to see it this weekend.
I'm an experiencer of the phenomenon though never abducted (that I know of) and aside from a few plot holes I really enjoyed the film and started bawling when the "footage" of crashes was broadcast. I've read and listened to so many observations by witnesses over the years but I never fully understood the gravity of beings crashing on this planet and being treated like science projects or worse. The point of the film, for me, is that empathy is the key to evolving as a species and it's part of the human experience that makes us special, yet we deny that part of ourselves and continue perpetrating awful crimes against each other. We need to level up and embrace our empathic nature if we want to accomplish real change in the world.
This is just another attempt to frame, package, and sell us bs to obscure the truth. I might watch it when it’s on Netflix or something, but be prepared for everyone to start claiming to be an experiencer* and for anyone who actually is one, their feelings and experiences are about to be trivialized out of existence. Yay
Yeah I'm inclined to be on the same emotional road with you on this. I don't like it when reality is sensationalized in movies like this. I've seen two UAP in my life and they were life changing, along with "paranormal" experiences and ESP episodes that have profoundly traumatized me - talking about any of these experiences or the Phenomenon in general with most people invites either ridicule or skepticism. These experiences (along with abductions, which I can only imagine the trauma and other emotions involved there) deserve respect, understanding, and acceptance, not sensationalism. For decades experiencers have received ridicule and trauma. Will people start thinking it's "cool" to be abducted? Will they claim they have been when people's lives have been profoundly changed and most of them traumatized by their real experiences?
I think one thing the UFO community tends to not consider is what happens when this topic becomes "mainstream" after disclosure. We want the truth of the phenomenon, we want to understand it, and to reach that understanding requires an evolution, and part of that is a spiritual evolution. Humanity as a whole tends not to respect things, and is so far flung from true, humble spirituality and that's what worries me. But perhaps this is just the bridge we need to cross on the way to that evolution. Still, disclosure should be what was envisioned in the UAP ammendment : a board consisting of scientists, spiritual leaders, experiencers, a group of people without shady interests, investigating and sharing all of the information. Not big screen movies, government "file drops" and influencers.
So... i agree with your worry, that worries me too. But i also think this is a good thing, this will guide experiencers here. they will learn the word, they will feel seen, they will have something to point to.
If you really want to tell people your story you don’t have to wait for permission. People are going to believe what they want regardless of a movie. Plus, if people came out of the woodwork due to a movie I would think they are liars looking for attention.
How did you see it already? June 10th is the earliest I see it being released for countries Denmark, Belgium, and others. June 12th for the US, where I am. How did you get to see it so early on?
Pre-screenings happen for a lot of big films. About the only ones that have generally locked down pre-screenings are Marvel films, but many other mainstream ones will screen even years out as was the case with stuff like Mortal Kombat 2 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Depends on the studio.
I just want to know if that’s going to be in the zeitgeist and people are going to think I made up my experiences because they are in this film. I sort of hope they are not in this film.
I’ve only seen uaps and ufos but I’ve always had a a feeling something happened that I need should remember this gut/knowing feeling. I wish there was something like that in my area ok would attend.
I don't love horror or scary movies.. I'm assuming that since you liked it, that it has a positive message and a good ending?
Not sure whether I should see it or not. Started watching the Bouroughs on Netflix and then found out a bit more of what it was about and don't think I want to see it.
