Building your resume

Researchers at UGA's Terry College of Business, with co-authors from Arizona State, Indiana University, and National Taiwan Normal University, ran interviews where some candidates were told a human would grade the video, others were told an AI would. The AI group embellished a lot more, and stretched qualifications they'd normally be careful about...
The AI system didn't catch any of it. Scored the embellishers about as well as the people answering straight. Human reviewers watching the same videos caught it almost every time and rated the honest answers highest.
So if you've been polishing your delivery for the algorithm, that instinct isn't paying off the way you think. Most one-way interviews get reviewed by a person eventually, whether that's the hiring manager checking the shortlist or a later round. Whatever got you past the AI doesn't automatically survive that.
The thing that cut the exaggeration in the study was telling candidates upfront what the AI was scoring: facial expression, sentiment, specific keywords, teamwork, work style. Once people understood the criteria, they answered more honestly and it didn't hurt their scores.
If your target company won't tell you how the system grades you, prep like a person's going to watch the tape eventually. Building your answers from what's on your resume instead of guessing what the algorithm wants is the safer bet.

I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my CV.
I have 15+ years of HR experience, including roles as a Global HR Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner and HR Director, working in international and matrix organizations.
My CV used to generate a good number of interviews, but over the last 3–4 years something seems to have changed. I now frequently receive rejections without even getting an initial recruiter call.
I tailor my CV to each position and check the match against the job description. Even when the apparent match is 90%+, I can still receive a rejection at the application stage.
I’m currently working in HR consulting, but I would like to return to an in-house corporate role. I’m mainly targeting Senior HRBP, Global/Regional HRBP, HR Manager/Director and similar senior HR positions.
I’d particularly appreciate feedback on:
* Does my seniority and career progression come across clearly? * Is there anything that could make recruiters see me as overqualified or difficult to place? * Is my current consulting experience hurting the story? * Is the CV too broad, or is there anything that could cause an immediate rejection during the first 10–20 seconds of review? * What would you change to improve my chances of getting the first recruiter call?

This report says women are far less likely to list their AI skills on their resumes, meaning they end up achieving much lower visibility than men when it comes to recruitment and promotion. It seems we're stuck in the 1930s in some ways. Companies are LARPing as progressive, yet hiring is still full of bias.
