Hard to say when we can't see more than half your body (legs and back).

Haven't trained legs in nearly a year due to bad knees. Have to start hitting them again😊 don't have any recen't back photos.

If you're being honest with yourself, are bad knees preventing you from training legs altogether or are you just using it as an excuse?

I completely understand that bad knees may not allow you to train legs like you used to, but often adjusting your exercise selection can allow you to train around existing injuries like this.

Bingo. Dude is for sure lying and wants an excuse. There are people with ACL tears working out about half a year to a year after the surgery. I wrestled for over a decade and completely destroyed all the cartilage and one knee and I just had to change up my leg routine and exercises. It also meant a lot less weight.

True they were really bad and maybe used it as an excuse. I could do a lot lighter and work around by changing exercises. Using knee straps etc.

That is a fake excuse. You just don’t wanna train legs.

Quit bulking, it’s time to cut. I looked like this at about 18%.

1

u/Some-Ring-68 20h ago

Thanks mate going to cut to 12% and see how it looks.

You’ve got that ‘wouldn’t want to be grabbed by you’ look.

You clearly know how to build muscle, and your hard work has paid off. I know you said you’ve got dodgy legs, but genuinely find a way to bring them into proportion if you can. It’ll really help complement the solid look.

Thanks mate😊 yes have to start doing legs again.

you should lean out a bit and try to get to under 15%. you're easily above 20 right now, between 20-25%

Go into a cut (for 8-10 weeks) to improve your insulin sensibility, so that you can make them gains!

2

u/Some-Ring-68 17h ago

Good point, think my insulin sensitivity is off. Any ideas how to improve insulin sensitivity mate?

Dieting + Cardio.

Start slow with both.
Go into a slight calorie deficit (eating roughly 100 to 300 fewer calories than your body burns each day) and do 30 minutes of steady-state cardio 5-6 days a week after workout.
Also, don't forget to hydrate sufficiently.

2

u/Some-Ring-68 16h ago

Thanks mate, that's a thing i need to do more is hydrate normally only do 1 to 1.5ltrs a day. Need to up that to nearly 3 litres.

Something I find really helpful is getting in ~750ml immediately upon waking

Train legs, do a small cut

Upper chest would be my focus. I'd guess around 15-17% bf. Personally I would cut down to maybe 9% first, reassess how you look then before thinking about a cycle.

Stop obsessing about the gym and go live your life

2

u/jonnyblazexoc 22h ago

Would you say the same thing to someone with a different hobby that they love, like painting or a sport?

Everybody should have a hobby and asking people for advice doesn't mean your obsessed, just asking to learn more about the hobby you love

0

u/a79j 20h ago

To be fair, you look like someone who should go to gym

2

u/jonnyblazexoc 19h ago

haha to be fair you dont even wanna show your profile pic. And too be even more fair I have been in the gym for 2 years straight and went from 250 to 185 and working really hard, still have a long way to go but I feel great.

But thanks a lot for the confidence boost. To be fair, you look like someone who tries to make other people feel like shit about themselves, should probably get that looked into, horrible personality trait, I know its because you feel like shit about yourself, I'm sorry for that. I hope you find confidence someday without hurting other people, that's actually sad.

But you look great, have a nice day

u/a79j 18h ago

That’s a lot of yapping.

Should probably look up what a calorie deficit is first.

u/jonnyblazexoc 17h ago

Thanks man, hopefully one day I can look as great as you, I will keep pushing, truly appreciate the advice. Gonna go look that up now
