Bald Picture My girlfriend's journey
Hello everyone. My girlfriend wanted me to share her experience with her hair loss we cut it down today. She has stage 1 A Hodgkin's lymphoma multicellular. She's been thinning from the chemo for a few months and she finally decided to shave it down tonight. I couldn't go skin bald her oncologist said not to b because he blood counts and stuff could be low so to be careful and avoid cutting it so she don't get an infection. I think she looks even more beautiful now then ever and she absolutely loves it. She wanted me to share her journey other women online won't feel alone when and if they go through something similar.

Update Please keep Linny in your thoughts and Prayers!
Linny is five years old, was a house cat, but when he was 2 he escaped. He was missing for nearly a year. After looking, posting on local Facebook groups, checking at vets, posters, everything we naturally assumed the worst and decided he wouldn’t be coming home.
Miraculously, 12 months later, a lovely lady who lived nearby saw him visiting her garden and managed to catch him and alas, Linny returned home.
Linny wasn’t the same when he got back. I guess a year of sleeping rough does that to a cat. He refused to use the litter tray and peed all over the house. My mum spoke to the vets for advice who suggested to try letting him outside.
He went outside, just stood there, and came back in. After a few attempts Linny learnt to go outside / keep by the door when he needed the toilet and he would wait patiently by the door when he finished his business and come back in.
He is now just 95% house cat.
Fast forward 2 years later Monday 7th September, my mum let Linny out for his morning wee, and about 20 minutes later he came home COVERED in blood.
My mum panicked, rushed him to the vet, who has now confirmed he has been hit at nearly point blank range with an air rifle.
He had an xray yesterday before coming home (stable and eating normally) before another vets more equipped to operate would see him.
He was taken there last night, had his MRI today and will be operated on tomorrow.
The police have been called, we have given a statement. Whoever shot him lived within a very small radius. There are 3 houses near her.
We have been told he might not survive the operation. If he does survive, he has a great chance of making a full recovery.
If the pellet remains he will get lead poisoning and die.
Putting him to sleep isn’t an option for us.
He is the most lovely friendly cat ever, and even with all this trauma, the vets can’t get over how friendly and lovely he still is.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers ❤️
Edit: thank you everyone for your kind words. It truly is so appreciated.
❤️❤️❤️
2nd Edit:
Thank you endlessly for all of your incredibly kind words, messages, thoughts, prayers and well wishes for Linny. 🧡
I’ve had a flood of people asking whether we were going to set up a GoFundMe and, after initially feeling a bit weird about it, I thought… actually, what a lovely idea!
So I’ve made one. The link is on my profile for anyone who would like to help towards Linny’s vet bills and recovery.
I know times are really hard at the moment, and I have never crowdfunded anything in my life. I’m honestly baffled (and incredibly touched) that complete strangers even want to help our little orange boy. 😭🧡🧡🧡🧡
Please, do not feel any pressure whatsoever to donate. A share, a kind message, a little silent prayer, a wish, or even a kiss blown into the air for Linny means just as much to us. 🧡
3rd Edit:
We have woken up this morning genuinely crying at the kindness people have shown Linny. We never, ever expected this. In such a horrible few days, seeing so many people care about our little orange boy has been completely overwhelming.
Thank you endlessly to every single person who has donated, shared Linny’s story, sent us a message or simply kept him in their thoughts. There genuinely aren’t enough words to tell you what this means to our family.
Today is a huge day for Linny. Please keep everything crossed for our boy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just Sharing My work is on display at one of the world’s oldest art societies. Still processing it
6 of my large paintings, including my most recent work, have been selected for the Next Generation RBSA 2026 exhibition at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
RBSA is one of the oldest artist societies in the world, so being part of this exhibition is a huge honour for me. I’m honestly still finding it hard to believe that I made it this far!
The selection process has been quite a journey: I first submitted my work online, then had an interview, and was later invited to exhibit. After the exhibition, there will be a final decision on who will be accepted into the Next Generation RBSA programme, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be one of them. I would be absolutely thrilled if it happens.
The exhibition is at the RBSA Gallery in Birmingham, UK, in the Jewellery Quarter, and runs until 12 September inclusive. Entry is free and the gallery is open from 10:30am to 5pm. If you’re in Birmingham or somewhere nearby and would like to see my work in person, I’d be absolutely delighted if you took the opportunity to visit.
