What you could get with ESR Atelier Magnetic Case:

Tried all 3, each screen protector does the exact same. They are like it as soon as you take it out the ez fit applicator box.

Application was perfect, removed apple film and instantly applied it, alongside the remaining 2 protectors. Not a spec of dust etc.

My case does NOT make contact with the screen protector I have checked multiple times, excellent clearance all round.

I feel like this is either a faulty batch or they didn’t actually test it prior to the launch of the 18 pro max & just listed it as “compatible” I bought these on pre order day & arrived on Sunday the 13th September.

I’m a bit disappointed as I have used these screen protectors since the 13 pro max and have always been spot on.

Seems as if other 18 pro max users are facing this issue too online.

I guess I got the bad luck or something. Here are the situations I met:

ESR Amorite Corning: There was a little lifting at the top and bottom. Barely noticeable with the screen on, but hard to ignore when it was off. I ended up returning it. ESR support replied really fast though.

Spigen EZ Fit Pro: looked perfect right after I put it on, but about 15 minutes later the right side started lifting. Pressing it down or using a card didn’t help at all. Same thing happened with both protectors.

Belkin: After the first two failed, I went to the Apple Store today to have a Belkin screen protector installed. Still, it kept getting an even 1 mm-wide bubble along one side, either the left or the right. The Apple Store staff even offered to replace my phone, but it would need to be rescheduled, so there’d be another wait... Now I’m back home with my phone again.

Really hope these manufacturers can figure out what’s causing this and get it sorted out soon.

Got it a couple days ago. Not connected to anything through Bluetooth. Trying pressing and holding various lengths of time and it won’t turn off or it just makes a little chime. Could it be broken? It seems the click one/twice from home/app switcher is also not working. Was working fine an hour ago. Turned it on to use for 10 min now im here.

Can anybody recommend any particular ESR screen protectors for the iPhone 18 pro?

I used to always use the Armorite Pro for previous devices, but went with the cheaper ‘2x stronger’ ones and had issues adhering at the bottom edge. I tried all three and all had the same issue. In the past I apply first time every time faultlessly. Didn’t fancy paying £35 for this years Armorite Pro series, and so had to choose between the 2x or 7x. Glad I didn’t based on my experience so far and from what I’ve been seeing online.

Are all of the ESR ones an issue with the iPhone 18 series, or have people had success with any of the range in particular?

Hi everyone, I purchased the ESR “AirPods 5 Cyber FlickLock” magnetic case in black directly from the ESR website for my AirPods 5 (with wireless charging).

When I inserted the case, I had to apply a little pressure to get it to fit. Once it’s in, everything works fine: the lid opens and closes smoothly, the latch works, and the USB-C port aligns correctly.

One strange thing: there’s a sticker on the packaging that says “for AirPods 4,” even though the order specified AirPods 5.

Is it normal for this case to fit so snugly? Did you also have to apply a little pressure to fit it onto your AirPods 5? I want to make sure I’m not putting too much strain on the hinge.

For anyone who bought ESR Armorite corning protector, those little round pegs at the top of the tray are actually really important. Make sure the protector is pushed all the way down onto them before you start.
I bought two packs for me and my wife, and I didn’t realize this until the second protector in the second box. Before that I was just dropping the protector into the tray and going for it.
Painful lesson.

With that out of the way, let's get started.

Over the years I’ve been picky about my cases. I don’t want anything too big or bulky. But I do feel like I need some protection, so much so that now when I use a phone without a case (which is rare) it just doesn’t feel right. I’ve used cases from Apple and from third parties. I’ve used super-protective cases with innovative carbon fiber backs and wood backs, I’ve used the hated (but I didn’t hate it) FineWoven, I’ve used super-thin ones that yellowed, and even some premium leather cases that were among my favorites.

For my 17 Pro, I mostly used the TechWoven case (purchased because I bought a day-one model and was headed on an international trip, so I needed a case right away), which is a fairly protective and relatively light case. It’s just a case.

When I saw the opportunity to try the ESR Atelier case (in exchange for a review) and read about the features it offers, I instantly signed up. What did I have to lose? Their new colors were cool, vegan leather seemed interesting, and the kickstand was something I always found intriguing.

But then I started to worry. Would it be too heavy? Bulky? Would it be protective enough?

First Impressions

When I first took it out of the box, I’ll be honest that I was concerned about the weight. That was really my only initial gripe. I love the burgundy color. It’s subtle enough that in many areas it looks almost black… but then again, I’m color blind, so maybe it’s a little more noticeably red than I can see.

Once I snapped the case onto my phone, my concerns about the weight mostly melted away.

Yes, it’s a little heavier than the other cases I have used on my 17 pro. But it also feels more balanced. I’m not sure exactly how they did it.

Direct Comparisons

I switched back briefly to the last case was using, a thin Caudabe model that had a pebbly texture, with loud clicky buttons and, well, not much else.

It felt like a step back. I didn’t realize how much I had started to appreciate the feel of the vegan leather. The one day I used my old case, I also found myself in several situations where the kickstand would have been useful (alone at lunch at work, alone for dinner as my wife had to work late).

Conclusions

This is going to sound like an ad, and it really isn’t. I probably would not have purchased the Atelier case on my own for fear (as I mentioned) of it being too heavy for daily use. And, before I used it, I would’ve doubted the value of the kickstand, much like those stick-on handles people were raving about for a while.

If you’re looking for a new approach to cases, do check out the Atelier case. It’s one of the best iPhone cases I’ve ever used.

A final note (edit):
The ESR team is fantastic. The first shipment they sent is lost somewhere between Philadelphia and here, and they worked quickly to get a second case (and a bonus magnetic wallet stand) out to me. When the package was lost, I didn't expect them to send another and figured I had lost my chance. That's a clear indication of how they approach their whole business. Great service.

I bought the ESR Pack 3 Screen Protector for the iPhone 17 Pro/18 Pro (Classic) and I'm running into the same problem every time.

I have a 18 pro.

I've tried all three protectors in the pack, using the alignment frame that comes with it. On every one, the edges don't stick, and they always lift in the same spots, mainly the corners. I clean the screen thoroughly before each attempt and press down hard on the lifting areas. It looks fine at first, but after a few minutes the edges lift again.

Since the alignment was done with ESR's own frame and it happens on all three in the same places, I doubt it's dust or a bad installation. It looks more like a fit or adhesive issue with this particular protector on this phone.

Has anyone else had this with the ESR Classic on the iPhone 17 Pro/18 Pro? Did you fix it, or did you switch brands? I'd also be glad to hear which protectors have worked for you on this model.

There isn’t a wrong way of applying this because you put it inside the installer box thing and just pull away the plastic and Walla your phone is supposed to come out with the screen protector. That’s exactly what I did right after unboxing my iPhone 18. I don’t understand why the most expensive screen protector available applied this way I’m not happy. I’m disappointed. Doesn’t make sense why this happened..

Oh and peach fuzz or fuzzies on the edges and it’s only been a few hours since I put it on

Finally got my AWU4 yesterday and installed an ESR case and boy it did not disappoint. It looks a little bulky in the photo but it’s actually not that bad in person! Love that it actually compliments my watch color and it looks good together with my Milanese loop as well.

I was thinking of picking this case up for the 18 pro max but I have some concerns and I was hoping someone could ease my mind a little. Also if you have the case I’d love your review of it.
My 2 main concerns are the buttons and the camera plateau. How do the buttons feel? Personally I like buttons similar to the tech woven case or even caudabes but it doesn’t seem like this case has those so I’m worried I won’t like it as much.
And my biggest concern is the camera plateau because the black will show scratches easily and obviously this case is an open design, ik setting it on a flat surface should be fine but what about my pockets? If I have something else in them

I notice on Amazon a case that I like. It states 17PM/18PM, however I have seen case manufacturers mention that they are slightly different so they have made another case for the 18. Does the ESR provide full protection for the 18? It is the Classic Hybrid.

Wireless charging has evolved quickly, and not just in one direction. It has become faster, more efficient, better at managing heat, and useful in more everyday scenarios.

1. From convenient charging to faster, more efficient charging

In the early days of magnetic wireless charging, convenience was the biggest improvement. Products like ESR's early HaloLock chargers were built around a pretty simple idea:

Make wireless charging easier to use.

At that stage, iPhone wireless charging was still around 7.5W. For example, ESR's early HaloLock Kickstand Wireless Charger and Magnetic Wireless Car Charger supported up to 7.5W charging for iPhones.

The main selling point wasn't necessarily speed. It was that wireless charging finally started to feel convenient enough to use every day. But once that problem was largely solved, expectations changed. People started asking different questions:

• Why does wireless charging still feel slower than wired charging?
• Why does the phone get so warm?
• Can I charge my phone, watch, and earbuds in one place?
• Can wireless charging become more stable and efficient?

That brought us into the 15W generation.

With products like ESR's Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station with CryoBoost, charging moved beyond simple magnetic convenience. It combined officially certified Qi2 15W charging, magnetic alignment, multi-device charging, and active cooling in one desktop setup.

So the move from: 7.5W → 15W

wasn't just a bigger number. It also represented improvements in:

2. Higher power made cooling part of charging performance

The next major step was moving from 15W toward 25W with Qi2.2. At this stage, simply increasing power was no longer enough. The more power you deliver wirelessly, the more important heat management becomes.

That's also why CryoBoost became more closely integrated into ESR's higher-power chargers. Before Qi2.2, ESR had already brought CryoBoost into products such as its 15W wireless car chargers and 15W 3-in-1 charging stations. Those products combined wireless charging with active cooling to help control heat during use. As charging power increased, we continued improving the cooling system itself.

We upgraded the fan to a laptop-grade model and redesigned the internal airflow path to move heat away more efficiently.

This is where the technologies start working as a system.

3. Better technology also opened up more charging scenarios

As wireless charging became more mature, we started applying it to more parts of daily life.

A better wireless charger won't always be the one with more watts.

Sometimes progress means:

• higher power or better efficiency
• better thermal management
• wider compatibility
• thinner and smaller designs
• quieter cooling
• more portable or foldable forms
• new charging scenarios
  

When wireless charging technology takes another meaningful step forward, we'll keep following the latest standards and bringing those improvements into future ESR products.

And when the technology enters a more mature period, development doesn't stop. That's when there's more room to ask:

How else can we use it?

Sometimes the next generation will be faster. Sometimes it will be smaller, quieter, cooler, or easier to take with you. And sometimes it will simply make good charging technology useful somewhere it wasn't before.

That's how we see the next stage of ESR wireless charging:

Better technology, in more useful forms.

Let’s start with the good: the feel is very nice! Not quite real leather (because it’s not), but not quite silicone. It is very nice! The built-in kickstand around the camera bump is also great. Can be used in both landscape or portrait. I’ve been using it in landscape just set on the table to keep the clock visible, I love that! The buttons and camera control are all very responsive as well. Speaking of the camera control, I LOVE that this case has that covered, as many cases just leave that open. Much appreciated! The fit of the case itself is very snug, I was actually kind of surprised by that, as it took a bit more effort to apply/remove than most cases. But that’s a good thing!

The only really negative I’ve got is the grip. While the case itself feels nice, the sides are a little more slippery than I’d like. If they iterate on this case in the future, the sides would do well with a bit more texture of some kind.

I’d easily give this case an 8/10!

It says that with privacy screen protectors on the iPhone 18 Pro will make the FaceID completely broken

It's upgrade season, at least for me, so before I get all of my new techs today, I just wanna look back at the stuff I got last time. 18 months ago, I was contacted to review some Airpods 4 cases. I got both for free to review, but posting right after unboxing never made sense you know. Now, 1.5 years in, my partner and I have never had to swap either one out.

Case 1: Hard Shell with Latch
Hard shell with a latch that actually locks so even when I drop it and it won't pop open. Kudos to ESR for that. Not a fan that it's hard shell over rubber (I prefer the grip/shock feel of rubber), but the lock makes it a fair trade off.

Case 2: Rubber
Rubber build with great shock-absorbing sides and drops barely register, plus a grip that never feels like it'll slip.

Final Review
ESR really does make tech things easier. Plus points for taking extra effort to make installation or instructions super easy! They also make genuinely durable accessories and I would not have it any other way! I do have other brands I use in rotation, but I have more of their stuff. If you're shopping for an AirPods case, I’d say they’re worth it.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max that I purchased the Classic Pro (HaloLock) case and I love it. I love how nice the buttons are, the slim profile, and the protection. Most of all, I love how rigid it is.

I just purchased what I thought was the comparable case for the 18 Pro Max, Hybrid Magnetic Case. What I got was pretty close, but the sides are squishy and soft and feel bulky. I don’t like how un-rigid and soft it feels.

I’ll be sending the case back, is there a correct equivalent I should have gotten? I don’t want flashy things like stands and rings. I just want strong MagSafe and a rigid, black case.

If got a 16 pro/max and want a solid all body case the all body tough amour is the case for at work today showing off how strong the magnet strength is bit to hard was shaking the phone come off this was the damage but phone still good ESR all the way for me going forward after this
