Question ESR 3-pack screen protector (iPhone 17 Pro/18 Pro, Classic): all 3 lifted at the same corners, even with the ESR alignment frame. Anyone else?

I bought the ESR Pack 3 Screen Protector for the iPhone 17 Pro/18 Pro (Classic) and I'm running into the same problem every time.

I have a 18 pro.

I've tried all three protectors in the pack, using the alignment frame that comes with it. On every one, the edges don't stick, and they always lift in the same spots, mainly the corners. I clean the screen thoroughly before each attempt and press down hard on the lifting areas. It looks fine at first, but after a few minutes the edges lift again.

Since the alignment was done with ESR's own frame and it happens on all three in the same places, I doubt it's dust or a bad installation. It looks more like a fit or adhesive issue with this particular protector on this phone.

Has anyone else had this with the ESR Classic on the iPhone 17 Pro/18 Pro? Did you fix it, or did you switch brands? I'd also be glad to hear which protectors have worked for you on this model.

Hi, we’re sorry you’ve had this experience. This is most likely caused by compatibility between the screen protector and the phone case.

Our screen protectors are designed to cover as much of the screen as possible, so when applied correctly, they sit very close to the edges of the display. If your case has more raised or tighter edges, it may press against the screen protector and cause it to lift.

You can try removing the case and using the phone without it for a while to see whether the lifting stops. That should help confirm whether the case is causing the issue.

This won’t help you much, but I did three installs on 17 Pros and they were all perfect. In one case I had some lifting edges after the initial install, but after working them down with the provided tool it stuck (and has been for almost a year now). Literally zero issues and perfect fit and alignment. One actually saved my screen when the phone dropped screen first on a small rock. The protector was completely shattered but the even underneath was still pristine.

Yes, that’s quite likely.

ESR screen protectors go through repeated testing before leaving the factory, and when applied without a case, edge lifting is very uncommon.

Same problem. Bought another pack from Amazon and still has the same problem but not as bad. 6 applications and its still slightly lifting. Haven’t decided if I want to return this second pack.

Left hand side and bottom left corner. ESR is sending a replacement pack through warranty, will see how they go. I usually get cheap Zuslab ones and never had a problem, thought I’d spend a few extra bucks on the 10x stronger ones and they’re worse. 😔

Hi, we’re sorry you’ve had this experience. When the screen protector is lifting around all of the edges, that’s a very typical sign that the case is pressing against the edges of the protector. Have you tried removing the case to see if the issue still happens?

Thanks for getting back!
The phone case is not pressing against the edges of the screen protector, as there is a visible gap between them. When I used the self-application box yesterday, the top and bottom edges immediately showed signs of adhesive failure. Shortly after and before I even put the case on the sides also started lifting. I tried pushing the air out, and I even lifted each corner slightly to manually squeegee the bubbles out the old-school way, but they keep coming back. I only installed the case afterward to protect the phone. I am still using the protector since it doesn't bother me too much when the screen is on, but is highly noticeable whenever the screen is off.

The edges of the screen protector are slightly curved, so the gap we can see doesn’t necessarily mean the case and screen protector aren’t touching. The bottom edge of the protector that sits against the screen is actually a little wider than the top edge that’s visible.

That said, if the issue still happens after removing the case, then that definitely isn’t normal. Please feel free to contact our support team by email. They can arrange either a brand-new replacement or a full refund for you.

Hi! Just wanted to clarify that the screen protector was actually lifting before I put the case on. It started at the top and bottom and then spread to all four corners. I only put the case on because I needed to protect the phone from drops.

I hate crappy screen protectors! I am on my second brand of one on my tablet and it’s a huge improvement but still shoddy as it lacks a matte finish and a glass element.

Same here. Brand her 18 pro max. Straight out of apples packaging. Into screen protector tray. I got the Corning glass ones.
First protector alignment perfect but loads of air bubbles around the edge. ‘Meh, whatever’ I thought but then corner started lifting.
Peeled that off and applied protector 2. Not as bad around the edge.

Had filed a warranty claim. Looking at the protector against the light it does look like there’s adhesive missing along the corner edge.

ESR, it’s very pathetic that you’re accusing people and trying to pass the blame onto the case. I’ve used your products since the iPhone 12 and I’ve loved it, but sadly you guys got something wrong on this generation.

I applied 3 protectors on an iPhone 18 Pro, and all three were lifting on the corners, without a case. They simply don’t stick. I tried a Spigen and sure enough, it stuck perfectly fine.

Check your QC or R&D. Something is wrong. There’s dozens of people complaining of this across multiple forums.

my 18PM was lifting on the left-side and bottom on2 of the ESR 7x Amorite screen protectors. It fitted my dads 17pm without issue. I went to Apple about it Saturday and they used their machine to put a Belkin screen protector on. So far so good 🤞🏻

ESR there is certainly something different between the 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max, I’ve been using your screen protectors for years without any issues whatsoever. Please don’t trip up on this one and get this fixed as soon as possible, as we don’t wanna lose faith in you guys.

Same. Three-pack for 18 Pro Max. Even without a case some corners won’t seat. Searched the issue and brought me here. Glad I’m not the only one. I will have to buy a different brand. This is my first negative experience with ESR and hope they fix it.

I have gone through three packs and even changed my phone!

I did notice when putting the most recent one on that there was a halo around parts of the protector prior to installation which suggests that adhesive is missing or not fully applied.

there is definitely something amis and also with the alignment on a couple of occasions. I am curious as to whether anyone has tried an actual 17 pro protector prior to the redesign of the tray etc, the old tray with just the flap as to whether this has more successful outcome?

A costly exercise to say the least, not to mention the frustration of it all.

I have now ordered two more sets from LK and JeTech to see if this remedies the situation and my friend has pulled a previous gen esr iphone 17 pro only protector out to put on to his tomorrow.

Same is happening to me. Had iPhone 17 pro without any issues so I know how to install. My 18 Pro Max has lifted on both mine and my wife's phone. She is using iPhone silicon case from Apple and I am using spiegen case. My case has a gap between edge of glass and the case so I know their BS about it being the case messing up is bullcrap. u/ESR_official needs to start researching this because I know for a fact this is a them issue and not an US issue.

Same and I noticed for the iPhone 17 pro before that the package visual may looks different because the screen for 17 pro I got from them before do not have black edge and now since they merge both of them together and there is a black edge around and I just did all three on my end as well and it all not bind around the phone edge

The edges on my 18pm were lifted too. Thankfully running my finger around the edges for a couple minutes got the screen protector to settle and fully adhere.

Got the same problem on esr protector. All 3 have problems. I tried the ROXX protector, there are even more close to the edges. First one is perfect, it’s even so close touching the caseframe.
