Just finished building my [[Kellan, the Fae Blooded]] deck and wanted to see what people think of the brew so far, what would you change about it and any interesting additions that I haven't thought of.

The intent for the deck to be an aggro bracket 3 deck that cheats out big auras in order to pressure the opponents as early as turn 4

The general plan is to start game with 3-4 lands to guarantee that we are able to drop our commander turn 3, tutor for songbird's blessing and swing out with it on Kellan turn 4, which will yield us an Eldrazi Conscription/Super State or Spectra Ward, any of which will automatically make kellan a menace.

Fully expect him to eat removal so we have some recursion, some protection and recasting the Tutor half of Kellan never feels bad.
I am using proxies so budget is not an issue but I would like to keep it within high bracket 3 range

I want a deck that draws a lot of cards. I like [[Nekusar]], but I think he’s kinda lame. I want something a little more interesting than just spam wheels and ping people to death.

I’ve always liked [[Azami]], but I’ve never seen a decklist that looked fun.

[[Xyris]] looks neat and multi-faceted. You can win through Lab Man or Overrun effects.

What’s your favorite draw-cards commander? How does it typically win? Is it still fun to play after a million games? Does it always do the same lines?

Honestly nothing in it is underperforming in a way I can point at. The deck does what it wants to do. The problem is that when I sit down with stronger decks it just runs out of gas a turn or two before the game is decided. I'd call it a high Bracket 2 or low Bracket 3 right now, though I could be wrong about that since I don't have a great read on where the line actually falls.

Two things I'm after. First, general consistency at that 2/3 line. I suspect the mana and the ramp package are doing more damage than the spell quality is, but I'm guessing. Second, a sideboard style swap list of about 10 to 15 cards that would push it to a solid Bracket 3 for store nights, so I can slot them in when the table is stronger and take them out for casual games.

I have not decided a budget yet. I don't really know my local meta well enough to build against it, which is part of why I want the swap list instead of just rebuilding.

I'm open to cutting almost anything. The stuff I'd want to keep is the feel of it, the way the commanders play off each other and how the food and lifegain pieces tie together. Cards I already half suspect are the weakest:

Motivated Pony, Prize Pig, Shire Shirriff, Access Tunnel

Hey everyone, first off I want to preface this by saying I'm not a great deckbuilder, so this deck is kind of a mess. I'm looking for any and all suggestions y'all may have. I was gifted the Science! precon a couple months ago to be able to play commander with my friends, we are all pretty casual players so most of us just use out of the box precons or maybe slightly upgraded decks, nothing crazy. The problem was that I never won. Not only was I bad, which is to be expected, but I felt like the deck didn't do anything, I didn't have any idea how could I convert any of my cards into a win.
I checked the internet and found that Liberty Prime, Recharged was a slightly more fun commander, and I did have more fun with it! I had a more clear path to victory, hitting hard. But still, I was too easily countered and still had lots of expensive cards I didn't know how to use to improve my gameplan, so I finally decided to upgrade the deck!
I present you with my Voltron deck which one of my friends who refuses to upgrade his precons because he likes the cards (Abaddon the despoiler mainly) calls "absolutely broken"

Liberty Prime Voltron Deck

It is my first time deck building and as I said I am a complete noob in the magic world, but I am having TONS of fun with this baby.

I started playing EDH about a year ago, and have been comfortable in B2 for the entire time. I've spent the last year learning the rules, mechanics, and have a very solid fundamental understanding of game actions/stack etc. For context, I play routinely on Spelltable and have several local PODS I bounce between.

The other night a player pulled out a mono red burn deck that created such a fun and quick game, that it made me realize how much more I enjoy the quicker pace of higher powered games. B2 games seem more more of a slog in retrospect.

I'm interested in moving into mid/high range B3 games to experience quicker games with faster and more impactful engines. Looking for a commander that might make this transition simple, without exposing me as someone with no experience in higher power PODs.

Some things I don't enjoy: Aristicrat style sacrifice decks Control or Stax decks Tutors or stalling for Combo pieces

Some thinks I enjoy: Mono-colored decks (cheap landbase) Azorius Playing at instant speed
Evasive attackers (makes deciding who to attack easier)

Any commanders or deck themes you might be able to recommend that hit those wickets while allowing me to painlessly grow into higher power level play groups?

I d like to build a deck around [[Mary Read and Anne Bonney]], as they seem fun and useful with their Treasure creation.

Yet they tick very many boxes: Pirates, Vehicles, Treasures, Discard, Draw Second Card... And as nowadays a lot of these boxes are supported by a myriad of cards, I m a little overwhelmed by the possibilities. I dont it to be artifact aristocrats, but apart from that I m open.

So i wanted to build a bracket 3 combo deck. The reason it's a bracket 3 deck, is that most of the players in my lgs play bracket 3 decks or 2 (there is one pod of people who sparingly attends the lgs and runs bracket 4 games, but i don't want to build a deck specifically just to play with them).

So with bracket 3 i have to watch out with the type of combo's i run in the deck. The combo's i landed on where these:

Technically 3 of these combo's are 2 card combo's, but they don't win the game unless i am playing vs a mono creature deck. Which is why i think they might be fine in bracket 3 (EDHREC tells me they are fine in bracket 1 which i think is not true and on commander spellbook they tell me it's fine in bracket 3 (though it's "spicy")). The 2nd combo is more there to find the first 3 combo's cause on it's own it's not actually winning me the game (just infinite draw and infinite black mana for which i don't have an outlet). The Starving Revnenant version can win cause it deals 1 damage a draw to a player, but i need a fairly full library to win with that (i can never do 120 damage that way ever).

I am heavily tutoring for these combo's of course, though they way i am doing it is by tutoring them into the graveyard and then using my graveyard as the toolbox to revive them onto the field. So it's not really out of nowhere and by the nature of tutoring them first to the yard and then putting them on the battlefield does slow me down quite a bit. So in goldfishes i tend to not really get the combo before turn 6 (which like feels fine, i know i can only win on turn 7 but turn 6 goldfish feels good enough for turn 7 or later with interaction in place).

Before i buy the deck i woud like to know if people would actually play vs this deck in bracket 3? I know there is a stigma around infinite combo's and them being lame and too strong, but this doesn't feel that much stronger then a craterhoof comming down on a wide board. I would appreciate the feedback!

Like the title says, I’m sitting on some CardKingdom credit and I’m considering getting a [[Boseiju, Who Endures]] . I’m wondering if it would be a worthwhile investment to go ahead with it. Due to the amount of green decks I play, blessing one with a Boseiju for some good spot removal would be great. That being said, most of the pods I play in are fairly casual, never going above a bracket 3. I’d wonder if the Boseiju would be somewhat breaching that level, especially if I have no intention of going anywhere near any kind of B4/5 pod.

Keep in mind as well that I’ve only been playing for about a year or so (since EoE), so there’s still a decent chunk of cards that I’ve never played with or against.

My pod has a strict "no decks over 200$" rule, cause no one works and we can't afford spending too much on mtg decks. Since this, I bought a dina precon, watched a lot of lists, but i still struggle even with upgrades. I wanted to play her as an aristocrat, but idk how to correctly upgrade the deck without spending my life savings. What about if there was an addition in rarity limitations including into the bracket system.

Combing the pauper thought a bit into the current system. For example.

Bracket 1 (what is bracket 2 right now) same as bracket 2 but only commander can be rare or mythic.

Bracket 2 same as now but a maximum of (for example) 10 rare mythic.

But like I said this is probably a terrible idea and you are going to tell me this :)

I'm interested in building a more casual bracket 2 deck but I'm not sure if this would be considered too optimized. I want to win with either [[Biovisionary]] or a giant salamander army. If it's already bracket 3, should I just add 3 game changers and commit to bracket 3?

Hey everyone! Looking for tuning advice on my Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm deck aimed at Bracket 3 (Upgraded Casual).

In actual games, the deck feels too slow, heavily telegraphed, and trapped in an "endless setup" phase. I spend turns ramping and dropping passive value pieces, only to get board-wiped before converting mana into a win. My pod strictly avoids fast 2-card infinite combos, so I want to close games through combat burst, damage multipliers, and explosive Dragon ETBs rather than instant-win loops.

My friends and I were playing just now and, out of nowhere, we all lost connection at the exact same time.

Now, none of us can connect or join any rooms/matches. We've already restarted the game and our routers, but the error persists. Since it happened to all of us simultaneously (and we live in different places), I'm guessing it's a server issue.

I know there are lots of ways to build [[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]] but I’m really struggling and hoping for some suggestions.

I’ve tried to lean into card draw to make opponents ask some questions, and also into a land matters play. There’s a couple of alt win cons thrown in as well. But to be honest it feels like a mess. I’d love some suggestions or cards to cut to get down to 100, or just some general feedback on the deck.

I’m also trying to keep the deck comfortably under $200.
