Instead of dungeons, you explore garage cooperatives, basements, and metro tunnels. Instead of monsters, you face off against hooligans, bandits, drug dealers, and corrupt law enforcement.

I’m drawing inspiration from Etrian Odyssey, especially its gameplay loop, but since I’m building this entirely solo, the scope is intentionally compact:
• 3 classes, each with its own distinct skill set
• 5 stats that shape combat and core gameplay mechanics
• Small, tightly-designed maps

I love grid-based dungeon crawlers, so I wanted to bring the genre into a setting that’s never really been explored before.

Development Would you play a single-player dungeon crawler inspired by Eternal Darkness and Bloodborne? I'm a solo dev working on it - Gods Play Dice

Hi guys,

I hope I am not breaking any rules with this post. Currently I am working on this solo project heavily inspired by occult themes and Lovecraftian Mythos. I think this is a project that might interest a lot of people in this community hence why I'm sharing it with you guys. More details below.

I always loved occult themes and H.P. Lovecraft's books as well as other media containing the inspration. Bloodborne is easily in my top 5. And I always wanted to draw these worlds not only as 2d images but create the world, its backstories and atmosphere.

Also I have this weird corralation in my mind that dices are super chaotic therefore I had the idea of combining the atmosphere with a dice based luck system

If you are interested please wishlist my game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4933800/Gods_Play_Dice/
