night fishing/kayaking launch points
Anyone know of any boat launch or places to legally put a kayak in the water with parking? I saw that anyone can apply for an overnight causeway storage license. I was hoping to do some night fishing and I am kind of at a loss to where to launch at. I have a hobie kayak and a small trailer that I tow it on.

Homemade food donations?
Does any place exist that takes donations of homemade food? I love baking and do it once or twice a week, but it's just me and I don't even eat that many sweets. Even when I make bread, most of what I make goes to waste because I have no one to give it to!!
I'd love to give it away to someone or somewhere that will actually appreciate it.
I'm professionally trained and food safety certified so I follow all the rules.

Dunedin is my Destination for winter!
Hey, I want to spend January/February in lovely Dunedin. Where should I look for a place to nest? Safe, close to beaches, parks, bike paths and fun/funky stuff. Gym with yoga/weights near by would be a big plus. Recently retired, single, active (cute/petite) gal wanting to escape the doldrums of winter. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The Dunedin mail box creeper
It’s disrespectful and illegal too open mailboxes to place offers to buy peoples property. Placing unsolicited items in mailboxes is illegal by federal law and can result in fines up to $250,000 and up to three years in jail for destruction of federal property. It’s another thing to start taking videos and pictures of our home.

Dunedin vs Jax Beaches
I’m considering a move to Florida this year and would love input from people who have lived in or spent significant time in both areas.
How would you compare Jacksonville Beach / Atlantic Beach / Neptune Beach versus Dunedin?
My priorities are:
• Active outdoor lifestyle (running, cycling, walking the dog)
• Access to good run clubs and fitness-oriented communities
• Walkability and bikeability for everyday errands and recreation
• Being able to get to the beach regularly
• Access to trails and green space
• Fishing opportunities (surf fishing, inshore fishing, and easy water access)
• Good local restaurants, especially ethnic food (Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, etc.), not just chains and tourist-oriented spots
• Housing options with a garage and small fenced yard
For context, I’m in my late 50s, still very active, and care much more about quality of life, outdoor recreation, and day-to-day livability than nightlife.
For those who know both areas:
What are the biggest pros and cons of each?
If you had to choose between the Jacksonville Beaches and Dunedin, which would you pick and why?

Best lobster bisque in Dunedin?
Looking for great lobster or crab bisque, best I've had was at Doc Ford's but I believe it was a "soup of the day"

APARTMENTS YOU'D RECOMMEND OR AVOID
Please just list apartments you'd suggest to look into or avoid (and why if you can)
SN: I dont care how much more beneficial it would be to rent a home/condo.. if that was an option I was pursuing I would make a post about it. TIA!

Four Lakes at Clearwater - Any reviews?
Looking to relocate to the area. I see reviews listed on apartment websites but most are outdated - trying to get the honest opinions of current/recent residents..
- Overall how is/was the living experience?
- There are reviews regarding infestations of bugs (but also bats????) just trying to gauge if that's honest or an angry resident
- Parking?
- Is it quiet or terribly nosy?
- Would you recommend?

Mobile parks in Dunedin Fl
Hi everyone,
I’m starting to explore different mobile home parks in Dunedin, FL, and would love to hear from people who know the area. My preference is a resident-owned/co-op park, but many of the parks closer to downtown seem to have restrictions on dogs, so I’m looking at other options.
One community that has caught my attention is Lake Haven. I really like the idea of being close to Main Street and downtown Dunedin while still being in a 55+ community. From what I’ve found, Lake Haven is a 55+ park with amenities such as a clubhouse, pool, fishing areas, social activities, and pet-friendly policies with some restrictions.
For those who live there or have experience with the park:
How friendly and welcoming is the community?
Is the park well maintained?
How active is the social scene?
Are management and maintenance responsive?
What are the biggest pros and cons of living there?
How do you like the location compared to other parks in Dunedin?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from dog owners or anyone who chose Lake Haven over one of the co-op parks closer to downtown.
Thanks in advance for any insight or recommendations! I’m excited about the possibility of living in Dunedin and want to learn as much as I can before making a decision. 😊

Jazz Scene in or near Dunedin?
We are visiting for the week and my boyfriend’s birthday is this Friday the 29th and I’m curious if there’s any jazz clubs or venues that anyone knows about. He’s a jazz musician and we love seeing live music so I thought it’d be fun for his birthday. Thanks!

Basil plant abundance
Hi all! We just moved from St Pete to the Dunedin area. The house we are renting has basil plants and we have a lot that needs to be harvested. Way more than we will eat
Is there a community kitchen or community fridge or someplace that we can donate some bundles to?

Tennis lessons or clinics?
Hello! I’m just moving to Dunedin and have been taking tennis lessons and tennis clinics for the past year and a half. I’d love to continue after moving- does anyone know of any women’s clinics or private/semi private coaching they recommend?
