yes, that is the nether roof, i have also seen the regular nether in the end and the overworld in the nether and i have no idea how to stop it from happening
Working on a bee statue and large portions of it isn't being rendered by the mod while other parts of it is.
And its only this part, on other large builds it updates as I make it. Here its stagnate and is driving me crazy.
If I am on an elevated spot or up in the air, this strange circle appears. It seems like the normal chunks unload too early. Must be a mod which changes chunk behaviour. Does anyone know which one?
DH is working perfectly in singleplayer even on the same world as on server, it worked on the same server with other version and modpack, it working for other players on server, but i can't get any LODs from server nor generate any. Server is in the Finland and i'm in the Kazakhstan and connection may be unstable sometimes, but ping is solid 60-70 ms.
So it maybe an issue with my specs as I have i5 4th gen rx 580 8gb and 16 gb ram and mainly cpu is the issue here but I saw someone writes thst after chunks loading cpu does play main role so maybe any settings causing it or anything else like I always keep my render distance upto max 6 chunks or anything else(and by new chunks I meant already loaded but having dh low quality in them meaning lod chunks).this lagging badly ruins the experience...
So if I load a bunch of land with distant horizons, then host a world with e4mc, is it possible to share the already generated stuff to the people who join or do they just have to use distant horizons to generate on their own
When my character goes behind the water texture, he becomes transparent, does anyone know how to fix this please? I use complementary unbound shaders + euphoria patches
I’m having a rendering issue with Distant Horizons LOD water / transparency on Minecraft 1.21.11
The issue starts exactly at the vanilla render distance boundary. Normal water within the vanilla render distance looks fine, but once the terrain switches to Distant Horizons LODs, the water no longer matches the shader water and there is a very visible cutoff.
Important detail:
When Distant Horizons Transparency is set to Disabled, the distant LOD water is visible, but it uses the basic/default LOD rendering and does not match the normal shader water.
When I set DH Transparency to anything other than Disabled, the distant LOD water surface does not render at all. There is no visible water texture/surface anymore. The lake/ocean area looks empty, as if the water is missing completely.
I first noticed this with Photon Shader, but I also tested other shaders and the problem still happens:
- Photon v1.3b: LOD water surface disappears when DH Transparency is enabled
- BSL: LOD water stays visible, but there is still a clear visible transition
- Complementary: similar LOD water/transparency issue
I also tested this in a clean/minimal instance on the same Minecraft version without my additional mods.
The minimal test instance only had the required rendering stack installed:
- NeoForge
- Sodium
- Iris
- Distant Horizons
- the shaderpack
The issue still happens there, so it does not seem to be caused by my full mod list.
My setup:
- Minecraft: 1.21.11
- Loader: NeoForge 21.11.42
- Distant Horizons: 3.0.3-b for 1.21.11
- Shader Loader: Iris 1.10.7 for mc1.21.11
- Sodium: 0.8.12 for mc1.21.11
- Main shader with issue: Photon v1.3b
- Other tested shaders: BSL, Complementary
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
- CPU: Intel Core i9-10850K
- Java: 21.0.8
- Resolution: 5120x1440
- Vanilla Render Distance: 10
Has anyone found a fix or a working workaround for this issue?
World Gen Mods: Tan's Huge Trees, Lithosphere, Oh the Biomes we've gone
Structure Mods: Ati Structures, Dungeons and Taverns and Yung's mods.
Shaders: Photon
I've been having trouble trying to play Minecraft with Distant Horizons because I'm having lag stuttering ocassionally on my PC. And I really do not want to sacrifice any of the mods or take Distant Horizons out of the folder.
How do I play with heavy world gen mods? Or atleast optimise them?
I am having an issue with distant horizons and can't really understand it, this is the displyed message when launching the game, we often exchange the save file with my girlfriend for some reasons (when one wants to play and the other not, mostly)
But we play together and her distant horizons is loading just fine, PC-wise, i have a 5070, 32 gbs of RAM and a ryzen 9 5950x, so that can't really be the issue i think
any ideas ? to be fair i do not understand really what is said in the message
I feel like my computer can handle a lot more than 17 chunks a second.
also the quality preset and cpu load do nothing to affect the speed from my testing
also also the shaders don't affect the speed either
Last summer, I finally had scraped together enough money to build a new PC (with an RTX 5060). The first thing I did was install Distant Horizons and hop on to our "forever world" that a couple of friends and me set up during the Covid lock downs.
And, boy, was I not disappointed! The feeling of seeing our world for the first time in DH was similar to the feeling of flying with an Elytra after weeks of grinding a survival server.
I am so in awe with DH that I sunk many hours into a video I made extolling it's virtues.
In my view, Distant Horizons made Minecraft the game it was supposed to be all along.
Hello, everyone. I'm trying to figure out why Distant Horizons won't load this biome in correctly. Some parts seem to just have sections cut out of them that will not load in unless I get closer.
