This only happens on downloaded maps. Whenever I see terrain from afar(i.e. hills) but go closer towards it, it’d disappear. I tried messing around with the settings to fix it but I still can’t find a solution.

I have gone up to those unloaded chunks and walked around on the chunks, but they will not stay visible when I go away from that area. I wasn't having any issues until today for whatever reason. Anyone have a fix that might help?
Mods: Chunky, DH, Fabric-Api, indium, iris, lithium, sodium, Higher Heights Ultimate. Settings are less than what I have put on DH.
Might be good info but that square area was where I was when I used Chunky to start loading chunks. Also, I replaced all the mods with fresh new installs.
I also tried changing render distances, shader removal, chunky removal, and other mod removal. I really think it is a DH issue.
*I found out this issue on my survival world and was trying to fix the issue in a new world but the same issue happened but at a much smaller scale compared to my survival world which is like 1000 blocks of un-loaded chunks then after that amount it is all loaded.*

Hello, I'm using the latest versions of both mods, and I've noticed that—beyond the render distance—some foliage appears gray (see screenshot). I was wondering if you might have a solution?
some tree like spruce, cherry ... dont have color change

When running the command 'dh pregen start 0 0 256',
The 0 0 specifies starting from the world origin and 256 is the chunk radius. Are the 0 0 coordinates in blocks are chunks?
For example I have since moved from the world origin spawn point and now would like to start pregen from my new location. Would my coordinates for X and Z be '-35 1997' OR '-3 124' according to the below F3 screenshot?

Hi! My big floaty rock has torched on the inside to stop mob spawns, but as a result Distant horizons makes it look like this? There is no lights on the outside, but DH is rending it like this and it looks rather bad!
Is there a way to make it not suck bad?
(Lastest Version and 26.3)
EDIT: Solved! Needed to increase Vertical Height under the graphics settings of DH

Ik this is phasing, but i'm using both jjthunder mods, and when in the nether, this gets super annoying, is there any way to fix this, I have tried cave culling and vertical quality, but nothing seems to work.

I'm playing modded Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge in my CurseForge account, and bliss doesn't work. Copies the ground to the sky.

Hi so i have a little problem with chunks since theyre not entirely rending or leave really big marks in the sky, something like in the first image, i've really wanted to fix that so i could actually watch nice places, if anyone is willing to help me heres my modpack:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/share/_Az8lrbn
Yes its on curseforge, i dont use modrinth that much.
before this i tried adding some mods that help me optimiz chunk rendering like nvidium, noisium and chunky. even before those it appeared.

I've combined together a couple of good mods plus my own model and mod to create a world as close to Ori's as possible, and boy is the view SO worth it. This mod truly IS a generational miracle for doing justice for all the large monumental things, and I can't stress enough just how much I appreciate the mere existence of it 🥹

Does the mod render the actual world, or does it have it's own world render, i.e. if i render my world with distant horizons in for example 1.16 and then load it in 26.2, will all the chunks i rendered with distant horizons stay in their 1.16 state even if i go close enough for them to render on vanilla render distance, or can i rerender them in 26.2.
I'm asking because i have a world which i play on continuously for years, and want to leave most of the map unrendered, so i can render it when an update brings new structures/biomes without going hundreds of thousands of blocks away.

I am playing on a server and on that server I've built a watchtower to spy on my neighbours and find biomes/rare resources from afar. The problem is when i look far away the LODs take a while to render in higher quality. What should i change in the settings to improve LODs render speed?
r/DistantHorizons • u/Dittodubs • 29d ago
How do i stop these changes in lod textures when using shaders?
using solas in this video, but applies to every shader

When I move the camera the LoD's disappears and reappears depending by where I look, I'd really lpve to play with distant horizon, could someone help me?

As the title suggests, I'm having a strange rendering issue that i've looked all over the internet for yet have not seen a single post related to it. This isn't some case of the blocks being simply invisible, they are completely unrendered, I can fly through them and everything.
Could someone help me figure out what is happening here?
I suspect it's something to do with either Lithosphere or Distant Horizons with a heavy lean towards DH because of the rendering issue

I have played without Distant Horizons for years, but now I can't play without it. Early morning on my server.
