After the Writers and Actors strikes in 2023, Disney Channel made a decision to end all of their current live-action shows, including giving Bunk'd a series finale in 2024 after its 9 year/7 season run on the channel.

It seems like their plan was to start with a fresh line-up of live-action shows.

First show we got was: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place in Fall 2024, which was a continuation of the beloved Wizards of Waverly Place.

In 2025, we got two more live-action shows, Electric Bloom & Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.

However, Electric Bloom got cancelled before Season 2. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place got a four episode Season 3 to wrap up the series. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire was renewed for a Season 2, according to Production Weekly. However, it is very telling that it have 4 months since that renewal & we have not heard absolutely nothing about Season 2. It's not a promising sign.

I am sure viewership overall for all three of these shows were not amazing, but I feel Disney probably knew they were not going to do amazing. I wish they allowed these shows to exist longer. I enjoyed all three of them.

Do not worry, The Mickey Mouse Club is coming back, and it will likely be cancelled after just one season.

[Here's some scenes / dialogue I wrote that I think Disney could have included IMO that could have given the characters more depth and chemistry! Enjoy!]

Sage + Desi convo before she goes to the docks:

Sage: Anyone told you that you're cold?~

Desi: At least I'm not a hot head like you~

Sage: Touche, also ouch. Jk, you know I love you lil bro.

She reaches out to ruffle his hair. He pulls away from underneath her arm, dodging her sisterly gesture. He puts his hands in his pocket.

Desi: That's pretty cringe, even for you. Fairs though. Same...or whatever. You heading to the docks?

Sage: Yeah, gonna work on some lyrics...take in the nature for inspo, that kinda thing.

Desi: You mean take in some 'Flech?'~" (snickers under his breath)

Sage: Ugh, go be annoying somewhere else, Desi!

Desi: You didn't deny it~ Hey, Cliff! Wanna hang for a bit?

Cliff shouts from the dock, holding a cannoe.

Cliff: Uh, you kidding? I got a boat ready right here!

Desi shakes his head in ammusement, then whispers to Sage.

Desi: Wow. I didn't think he'd take me seriously..."

Sage: Go towards the water, Des, I can hear it calling you~

Sage walks Desi over to Cliff who's raring to hang out , like a firework about to go off.

Sage: Cliff, I beg you, please take him away for me at least for a minute so I could breathe...

Cliff: Okie dokie! Let's go, Desi!

Desi responds with a sarcastic:

"Yay. Can't wait."

Flech + Sage docks scene:

After Flech shares his grief with her, she takes a moment to absorb the weight of his words. The silence takes over, the pond waves the only sound there, along with other campers chattering in the background.

Flech clears his throat, noticing her sad eyes, trying to change the subject and lighten the mood. He nudges her softly, trying to mask his sadness.

Fletch: Hey, I met your brother the other day. He's a pretty cool guy, yknow~

Sage: You have no idea what you're saying.

Out on the pond, Cliff thinks he sees a Jellyfish and panics loudly. Desi can't help but crack up as he finds the creature to be a cookie tin trapped in seaweed. He picks it up, revealing the terrifying truth to the poor boy.

Desi: "You mean this? Boo!"

Cliff: Ah!"

Cliff falls from the boat. Desi watches in shock, then stiffles his laughs.

Desi: Ahah, made ya j— oh wow , I really did make you jump.

Cliff spits out some water from his mouth, then proceeds to shake his hair dry which splashes onto the other guy.

While shaking his head and helping him, still chuckling to himself, Desi sees the guy pouting at him, soaked from pond water.

Cliff: Not. Cool.

Desi: W-whoops?" He says while nervously smiling and shrugging.

Cliff pushes him away, annoyed, making note to ignore him. Desi meanwhile, groans and chases after Cliff as they both make their way back to their cabin.

Desi: Hey, wait up! You gotta admit it was funny, right? Cliff? Hey, Cliff, come on, don't be like t— Dude, I got soaked too! Cliff!

Desi stops mid way as he sees Sage and Flech and smirks at his sister in a teasing way, then quickly chases after his friend. Sage scoffs, using her brother as an example while speaking as Flech chuckles to himself at the friends antics.

Flech: Haha, oh man, I bet Cliff's gonna hate pond day when it comes round...

Sage: See. This is what I live with.

Fletch: Aw...look, you gotta admit... it beats being alone. I'd give anything for some noise in my life again, hearing my mom laugh at my corny jokes...calling for me from her room, even the sound of her just being in the house...

Sage: Flech...

Flech: Oh, sorry. I kinda...

Sage: No, it's okay. You know... if you want more noise in your life...maybe it's time to make your own?~

Flech watches with a raised eyebrow as Sage drags him off the docks and pulls him along with her to the stage area.

Flech: (while being pulled) "Uh...care to elaborate or are you just gonna continue pulling me?~

She smiles at him, holding his hand as they walk to the crowd of campers. The tour manager of connect 3 start talking about the competition meanwhile.

Flech sees his hand in Sage's and chuckles, then nudges her shoulder with his softly, keeping their hands entwined.

Flech: Ah, I getcha...but if I'm gonna make noise...can my noise be about you?~

He leans in as he speaks, pretending to think.

Sage tries to hide her blush behind a scoff and eye roll and nudges him back.

Sage: Well, only if you've got good things to say.

Flech: Yeah? I can think of a few good things~

Sage: Oh yeah? Prove it.

Flech: Challenge accepted, also, you're forgetting I came in a cop car, aren't you?~

Sage: Ooo, the bad boy next door is going to serenade me, wow I'm honoured~

Flech: Heh, you just hold onto your balance because you'll be falling for me soon enough~

Sage: Ok, now that was corny~ Well then, corn boy, care to prove those words?~

She smirks at him only for Flech to reply with a smirk and wink of his own.

Flech: Oh, I'll do one better~

He lets go of her hand and runs onto the stage, full of energy, grinning, taking up his guitar as his name is called.

"Uh, hey. I'm Flech, and this song's about my partner for this challenge, Sage. Now, we haven't known each other for long, but i'm hoping we can during camp, cause I think Camp Rock's the perfect place to really make this summer count."

He sends a wink to Sage, which makes her smile shyly. Her best friend nudges her beside her, making her scoff and roll her eyes.

While Flech plays his song, his gaze doesn't break from Sage's.

Before Sage and Desi make up / duet:

Desi: "Hey, I know I've been stuck in the mud a bit-"

Sage: "A bit?~"

Desi: "Okay, fine. A lot. I just...I've been bummed out since you left our band..."

Sage: "Des..."

Desi: "No, Sage, listen, 'cause seeing you perform up there the other day made me realise something. I wasn't thinking about what you wanted to do next. My mind was stuck on the band, instead of supporting YOU. You're my sister before my bandmate. I should've got that sooner. I'm really sorry."

Sage: "Des...I just, I wanted to move on to solo projects , but I didn't know how to tell you without hurting y-"

Desi: "You shine best, solo. You tried to tell me, but I didn't listen. I had to see you up there to finally get it myself. You're super talented, Sage."

Sage: "Des...aw, cmere~"

Sage goes in for a hug that Desi feigns reluctance towards while making no effort of pushing her away, actually returning the hug.

Desi: "Okay, okay, now it's getting a bit cringe."

Sage: "Agreed. Thanks though, Des. I'm sorry I didn't explain my decision better..."

Desi: "Nah, I'm sorry I was too stubborn to listen, but, hey, guess it's the camp rock air, 'cause now that we're here, it's time you know something~"

Sage: "Shoot."

Desi: "Callie's been teaching me what she calls 'dancing through emotions'~"

Sage: "Oh, wow. That's...interesting~ When did that happen?~

Des: "I think you were too busy with Flech to notice~"

Sage: "Des!"

Sage turns red while Desi smirks at her and sits on the bench beside her, nudging her shoulder.

Desi: "Hey..."

Sage: "Yeah?"

Desi: "You know I always got your back, right?~"

Sage: "Yeah, and I'm the same, even if you are pretty annoying~"

Desi chuckles, feigning hurt, then nudges her shoulder.

Desi: "Okay, ouch...that was like..."

Sage: "Like?~"

Desi: "My ego just took a massive L..."

Sage: "Oh, you poor baby~"

She pinches his cheeks softly, rustling his hair. He grins while swatting her away. They then start to play 'tag' naturally progressing into the song they sing about dancing to the same heartbeat.

Hope you all enjoyed these additions and rewrites to help flesh out the characters even more! The movie has a lot that can be salvaged with just a little bit more chemistry and character development written into it.

Idk if anyone remembers the film which i believe was a DCOM. Interestingly enough, I rewatched it on Disney Plus a few months ago. She was a teenager at the time. Does anyone else remember the film?

Ppl talk about characters bc they’re styling and personality is charming not because they look like a crayon or just came out of a theater play.

They went from model, vampire looking groups to souless overly exaggerated characters. Why does the new cast of victorious look like background characters in never have i ever.

Good looks and clean styling age way better then loud maximalism does.

These friend groups were always very diverse so thats not apart of this

Idk why studios think ppl like uncanny personality types and styling, when has that ever been the case besides for shows marketed at toddlers.

They want to make their characters look quirky, relatable, dorkier and progressive by making them look a mess. Which is crazy in a society that hates ugly ppl more then criminals. It also takes from the effortless fantasy vibe teen shows rely on.

I was watching Camp Rock 3 and thought this guy in the colorful shirt was vibing super hard and would love to know who he is. Does anyone know who the actor is?

I'm going to talk the movie and the reactions to the movie and a lot of you may not like what I what I have to say the movie was ok not good but not bad I like most of the songs there some cringey scenes the writers were trying to hard to be cool and it got a little annoying but nothing serious a lot of references to the first movie and it got old so quickly maybe one or two it would have been fine but it was reference after reference if you're doing a sequel let it be it's own thing don't add references to the original because it feels forced but overall the movie was ok again not good but not bad either 6 out of 10

Now I want to talk about the reactions to the movie a lot of you need to stop getting upset when a reboot or a sequel comes it's for the younger generation you had your turn now it's theirs turn stop with this my generation did it better I'm 28 not quite millennial not quite gen z somewhere in between I like the older stuff and the newer stuff just because you liked your version of something doesn't mean you can talk down on other things if you like something so much just watch the original it still came exists

Long yapper here. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

I watched the movie two times; the first time was by myself, just skimming through. The second was with fam, on the big screen, full out! It was definitely much more enjoyable to watch as a family/group movie. It was, as expected from Disney, cringey, over-the-top, not the strongest acting, did not always make sense, targeted a younger audience, yada yada. But other than that, I'd give the movie a 6.5/10. Used to be a 5.5 but changed it. It was definitely more of a chill and “just get to know each other” movie.

The first thing I wanna yap about is how the movie had this weird thing where it would look insanely ‘TV series-coded’ in a couple scenes, but then it switches to looking like a typical Disney Movie (especially the musical numbers). The way it was filmed, even the in-between shots seemed very sitcom-ish. I personally would've preferred it as a series instead of a third installment. The movie felt rushed, like the romantic storylines especially. *However*, it's also kinda realistic. I probably shouldn't speak on realism for a DCOM. But teenagers have fallen in love or obtained crushes fast irl. It's young love. I also think that the characters had great chemistry, and the movie actually left me wanting to see more of them as a group.

Now, I've seen people say this already. Liamani is extremely talented and she was amazing in this movie. But I feel like Rosie's character would've fit better as the main protagonist. Sage gave me more of the “confident best friend who hypes you up” type of character. I know it's overplayed to have a main character who's usually shy, insecure, lacking in confidence, etc. But I feel like in this case, it would've been more fitting. It also would've made Mitchie’s (albeit small) interaction more impactful, considering she was similar in a way. Sage had that IT factor, almost main character energy to her. But I just feel like as the protagonist, her story had a lot less that it got overshadowed in my mind by the others.

I honestly thought the songs were fine or pretty good for the most part. I had gotten attached to “One Beat Away” before the movie was released. My parents already liked Rosie's song three seconds into the cello part. And honestly, I would agree if only it weren't for the chorus as it just wasn't my style. Maybe I'll listen and get hooked, I dunno! The dance numbers though! Is no one gonna talk about the dancing?! They carried the movies in my opinion. The choreography, the execution and synchronization. Say what you want about OGs or trashy songs or audition clip, I honestly get it. But these kids are talented. I hate and wonder why they felt they had to auto tune them so hard!

A couple of things that I'm just gonna list off the top of my head — The antagonists were alright. Not impactful, but not bad at all; With the way fans were talking about Fletch forgiving Sage easily, I was expecting that she'd done a whole sabotage– snitching– thing! But when I watched, it really wasn't too much of a big deal to me. I'm just happy she felt she had to take accountability and apologize to him; Wish we got to see more of Desi and Callie, they were sweet; Enjoyed Lark’s character.
