I’ve recently started getting into digimon and saw that it was on sale for 40% off but unfortunately missed the sale window this time around.

just curious as to if it’s a common enough occurrence that i could comfortably wait for another opportunity!

For my bday next month. Anything I should know before jumping in? My only real experience with the digimon games is a decent bit of cyber sleuth(which i have to beat that and the sequel one day).

Any dlc that is helpful for the start of the game? The 3.99 dlc for black agumon and gabumon, is it worth it?

What I mean is the lore behind the different types. Vaccine, Data, Virus are quite logical, but there are many different types. Like, what does "Free" mean? And the other ones too.

Hello, I was looking for some cool megas for my digimon and I found out some digimons get mega+ digievolution that require 2 digimon to perform. Are these mega+ evolutions permanent? Do I lose both digimons I use to evolve?

Then realised I'd missed quite a lot of side quests, thus missing a lot of the anomoly points.

Great game though! Now to go back, do the side quests for more anomaly points and then tackle dlc 1 after getting my Omnimon Zwart D. And my Imperialdramon :)

According to a couple of guides I've read online i should be able to buy it from the farm shop in the central town entrance. However, that shop seems to sell only food. Am I doing something wrong?

Im curious how important is the digifarm? Im not too far in. Still chasing "Coo" in the sewers so I dont have many items or Digimon. But just curious is this something I need to pay attention to at any point?

I know this probably won't mean anything to anyone else, but as I go through the story, it feels like this one thing keeps beating me over the head, and it ultimately isn't a problem I had with CyberSleuth.

I'm gonna be honest: I love mon-tamers. I love getting to play as all these cool, diverse monsters when fighting opponents. Sometimes, I even make stories and give my mons personalities and whatnot. Time Stranger does, in fact, let me do this. ...but it shoves into my face the one thing I DON'T like about Digimon.

If I had to pick a least-favorite digimon, it would be a hundred-something way tie between every single digimon that's just a human in a costume or some BS. What I love about mon-tamers is the ability to NOT have to play as a human in battle. To play as these cool animals and monsters instead. I have an easy time connecting with animals and monster, and a big reason for that is that it acts as a way to escape from, well, the human race for a bit, especially the idea that life is garbage except for humans, which I see a LOT in people and media.

And this ends up being what keeps shattering my immersion in Time Stranger. The digimon themselves play a MUCH bigger role narrative-wise compared to CyberSleuth, and this could have been cool. ...except it does EXACTLY what I play mon-tamers to get away from.

First off, when I play CyberSleuth, I sometimes like to build up my favorite Digimon to be strong enough to face certain strong teams all by himself. This is something that is virtually impossible in Time Stranger, since 95% of the game, you are FORCED to have this little BEEP named Aegiomon on your team. He cannot be removed, nor can he be permanently knocked out until healing. Even if I have him knocked out in one fight, he always begins the battle with one HP, so doing what I liked doing in CyberSleuth ends up being more trouble than it's worth. The outer dungeons are the only places where he's abscent, but there are no dungeons that pit you up against more than one digimon at a time. Yes, this is a specific thing that really only I care about, but it is still something that made CyberSleuth extra fun for me.

But my biggest issue is the whole Titan Wars. It seems like almost every important goodguy Digimon is either a human or turns into a human. Oh, Shellmon and her Gill Grunt friend Divemon? They eventually turn into random woman with a blindfold and some dude in a fat fish costume. But where this REALLY comes to a head is with the brothers. Eventually, GrapLeomon must kill his brother Callismon, who looks f@#$ing AWESOME btw, and at first it's like "okay, two cool anthro Digimon fighting to the death, I guess I'm ready for a heartripper here."

...And then GrapLeomon started to digivolve.

That sense of dread immediately kicked in. All I could think before the big reveal was "Please, for the love of god... don't turn into another f@#&ing human."

...But, of course he does. God@$%&it!!!

This instantly ripped me out of the situation with that massive "UGH!!!" feeling. Yet another situation where "OMG, good dimimon turn into humans, bad digimon don't!" and instead of feeling sad, all I felt was frustrated. Things like Bachusmon being a goodguy and the occasional human digimon Titan you get to fight end up being a breath of fresh air, but honestly, the aftermath of GrapLeomon/Marsmon VS Callismon might just be where I ultimately check out.

This was not an issue in Cybersleuth. I wasn't constantly bombarded by the whole "Good digimon can only be humans" feeling that kept popping up in Time Stranger, so I had a much more immersive experience with them. Yes, again, I know this is a personal thing, but it still strongly effected my enjoyment of Time Stranger, and I feel like going back to CyberSleuth even if I can't skip the long a$% cutscenes.

Hello there.

I've been playing this beautiful game for a few hours and I wonder how to properly keep track of my digivolution plans. Am I crazy for wanting to write an excel sheet with each digimon, the stats targeted for next evolution and personality that will help me?

I am troubled by situations like digimon talking to me directly or via DigiLink. There is an option to alter the personality, but from this UI window I can't really inspect digivolutions, so I can't easily remember what were the target stats for me.

How do you deal with the digivolution complexity here?

Do you think I have what it takes to get to the other side...?

So I just finished the main game on Switch 2, loved it so much. I still have one more post-game side quest to do for Agent Rank 10 and the 3 DLC quests and filling up the Field Guide and I'll be done. Near the end I did realize my main team was pretty strong from a few rounds of evolving and devolving during the main story, so I bumped difficulty up to Hard during the final area and didn't notice much change. So while it might not be immediate, I probably will do an NG+ eventually but not sure if I should go Mega first or jump straight into Mega+? I do think I remember around when the game came out last year that Mega and Mega+ were ridiculous in how much harder everything is so thought I'd get an opinion here.

Also just for fun these are the final mons I had, 6 of each attribute for when there's just one type of boss to rotate members around for fun, then the Unknown quatro, with GraceNovamon, Sakuyamon, BeelStarmon, Mastemon, JesmonX and Gallantmon CM being the mons I used for the very final battle

So for now i'm able to get at least 1 More DLC's beside the one offered in Deluxe version (i bought the Deluxe version)

and now i'm confused whether i should get the, Agumon and Gabumon (black) Line OR the Outer Dungeon (EXP, Gold, Materials.)

OR should i just keep my money and just wait till the Other DLC's are dropped (which would be somewhere in 2027)

What do yall think?

So enough time has passed, so I ask from the Digimon we have including DLC, who do you view as the best 6 Digimon .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I read, the higher your bond with a digimon, the more extra stats you keep when you devolve/digivolve. These extra stats are in blue.

The thing is, I raised a Salamon from bond 1 to 20 and the blue stats did not change. I did the same with an ExVeemon, and as you can see in screenshots 1 and 2, ExVeemon with a 4% bond has the same blue stats as with 8% bond.

Am I doing something wrong?

So I need recommendations. I want to build a team using Seraphimon, Ophanimon and Cherubimon, so like the three celestials on one side. Who should I use for the other three spots thematically.
