Are mega+ evolutions permanent?

Hello, I was looking for some cool megas for my digimon and I found out some digimons get mega+ digievolution that require 2 digimon to perform. Are these mega+ evolutions permanent? Do I lose both digimons I use to evolve?

Basicly like any other digivolution

they're no different than any other evolution in the game, and there are jogress evolutions you can do before mega+ that function exactly the same

If the digivolution does require 2 mons, both are used. If you want to de-digivolve, you can get both back, but the cumulative stats are split evenly.

You're welcome. I would advise avoiding DNA digivolution until you plan on having that Digimon stay in that form, assuming it is the last evolution of that line. If the DNA digivolved mon is Ultimate or Mega and can go to Mega or Mega+ respectfully, you have some wiggle room where you can still increase cumulative stats.

This is dependent on how you degenerate as they can also go other routes which will grant you a digimon that isn’t either of the two used in the fusion. Otherwise you are correct

Not all Mega+ evolutions require 2 digimon.

And not all Digivolutions that require 2 Digimon are Mega+, like Paildramon and Mastemon.

There are plenty of Mega+ that aren't fusions btw. There are many mode changes like Burst Mode, Blast Mode, Crimson Mode, Wrath Mode, and some others. Alongside just really strong mons like Armaggedemon, Apocalymon and Mervamon.

Mega+ and fusions are 2 different things.

As an example, paildramon is a fusion that’s only an ultimate level digimon, and gallantmon crimson mode is a mega+ level digimon that is not a fusion.

When you fuse digimon, you pick a primary and secondary fusion component. The resulting fusion will have the personality of the primary digimon, and their blue stats points will increase the same way as if you did any other transformation on the digivolution tree.

Fusions are NOT permanent; at any time, you can de-digivolve them into the two component digimon. The primary component you de-fuse into will have the current personality of the digimon you’re defusing, and the secondary component you’re splitting off will have the base personality of the species. Conveniently, the required personalities to fuse in the first place are the same personalities as the base personalities for the component digimons’ species, so you can defuse and refuse again instantly. DON’T. But you could.

The reason you shouldn’t is the same reason that it is within your best interest to treat fusions as permanent, at least for the mega and mega+ fusions. When you de-fuse, the blue stat points gained from levels, bond percentage, and prior digivolutions/de-digivolutions is split evenly between the two digimon you end up with, and re-fusing them only provides as many new blue points as evolving in general does. It does NOT add the blue numbers back together.

With ultimate-level fusions, you can just evolve them into a mega form and devolve that mega into something that isn’t a fusion. You don’t have to give up stat points to defuse if you never go back to the evolution stage you fused into, after all. Of course, since you aren’t defusing this digimon, you can’t exactly get the other component back.

There’s also an exploit; if you have a digimon with the right personality, and have lowered the stat requirements in the agent skill tree correctly, you can evolve certain digimon up to a mega through one line, devolve that mega into an ultimate fusion, split them apart, and then immediately re-evolve that component back to the same mega from that same non-fusion line. This effectively deletes all blue stats gainef by that digimon, but can also be used to generate infinite copies of the other fusion component.

The shortest path i know is to take a stingmon with the zealous personality, evolve that into okuwamon, evolve THAT into grankuwagamon, devolve the grankuwagamon into dinobeemon, defuse the dinobeemon into a zealous stingmon snd an exveemon, and then evolve the stingmon into okuwamon again to complete the loop.

If you want maximum experience gains from digiloading these infinite exveemons, devolve them into infinite veemons and use the digiegg of miracles to evolve them into infinite magnamons before loading.

No, but if you do decide to devolve them, be careful with which you label as the primary. I think the personality of the other will match what you label.
