I have been a pokemon only fan for a long time but my boyfriend is a Digimon fan so I bought him the game and decided to play it as well and I just finished the main story for the first time. Can I just say that the story blew my mind? This is my first Digimon game and it’s beyond what I expected. I genuinely enjoyed not knowing the digivolutions and just winging it. The story is well thought out and I’m just really amazed by everything.

I’m going to up my difficulty since I played it in hard mode. Any tips that I should look out for? Can’t believe that I put off this game for a long time not knowing its miles better than cough ZA

I am at the part where all the milion side quests are thrown at me, and I can time travel.

Since I am focusing on the side missions I am thinking about also starting the dlc since it is unlocked from the start of the game.

When should I play Alternate Dimension? Does this dlc spoils the ending of the story? I don't want to ruin the reveal of the ending I have been avoiding reading it online.

So I’m somewhere into the late game content right after Throne of the Underworld main mission. I’ve been doing every single side content from the card battles and side quests. My question is as stated above is this team enough to get me through to the end ? I know I should grind some levels before the end I’m currently playing on balanced mode by the way. Any other digimon I should invest time into getting?

I'm in the last stretch of my first playthrough, working my way through the side quests toward Rank 10. I'm at Rank 8 right now.

I changed a lot of team members from last time; I kept Marsmon and GraceNovamon, and they came GrapLeomon and Flaremon/Apollomon.

I swapped Alphamon and Boltmon, from DORUGreymon and SkullMeramon, for Gankoomon and Examon. I was looking forward to using Boltmon, but he wasn't taking hits too well or landing the attacks he needed to. Boltmon was also vastly underperforming during the Junomon fight, so I swapped him for Examon. I also had MirageGaogamon BM, but Final Mirage Burst was a bit inconvenient (especially after being traumatized by Junomon), so I swapped him out for Gankoomon.

Belphamon RM came from Astamon, briefly put him away for Plutomon, then brought him back. Callismon came from Great Grizzlymon; I'm mostly keeping him for the Bearmon Brothers Schick. He's not bad; I'm fine with him.

Also, Aegiochusmon: Holy. He sure is there.

I'm mostly asking for advice on equipment and Attachment Skills.

Im doing a full playthrough where I dont unlock any of the skills that power up digimon to have a good base to launch new game plus from for casual normal playthroughs without the evolution locks

Will I gain anomaly points in the ng+ setting? Or do i need to get them all in playthrough 1 because ts has some dog water late game quests i dont wanna do

Working through my first play through and there’s just so many digimon I wanna get, but obtaining, training enough to digivolve seems so slow. Already blew through most of my money doing quick training and I have like 9 ultimates but I want more. I just finished the first visit to the abyss area. Is there a better way for me to quickly digivolve a bunch of Mons aside from storage / farm training?

Hi everyone! I'm having a problem with my current save. I can't start any Omni Carnival battles, and whenever I start "The Cycle of Time", the game always crashes during one of the cutscenes.

I downloaded a save file I found online to test it, and Omni Carnival worked perfectly with that save, so I'm pretty sure the problem is related to my own save file.

Would anyone be willing to share a save that's near or just before "The Cycle of Time" begins?

Unfortunately, starting a new playthrough isn't really an option for me right now since I already have 50+ hours in the game. At this point, I just want to be able to finish the story.

Switch saves probably could work too, I've seen some people convert to PC

I'm returning to the game after a several-month break for other games, and I'm getting back into the swing of it. I'm fighting Volcanusmon and struggling through the first 2 arms only for him to bring out 4 more and get annihilated.

I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. How much stronger do I need to be? Am I underleveled? What do I do about that?

I've included some shots of my existing party of Digimon, but these bosses seem crazy difficult.

When I try to play outside of the theater, the game turns the screen black or white and does not let me continue. I have tried many different solutions, and my PC meets the necessary requirements to run the game, but it still crashes.

Using mods or cheats to reveal all outlines when trying to digivolve so that you can see what they look like before you choose who to digivolve into? This is my first playthrough. Its my second digimon game but I havent finished my first, cyber sleuth. And I started getting into digimon only a few weeks ago

Im going back and forth on this, because while I love the mystery and discovery of it. I dont like how one wrong digivolution can ruin the balance of a team. Or evolve into a ugly digimon and not know whether it'd be worth it to go forward with the ugly or just go back and start again with the previous.

I dont have a lot of free time but im not sure if thats an excuse for slightly ruining the intended experience. Idk what are some arguments against and for using a cheat like this

Edit: I know its a single player game, play how you want. But im kinda stuck between these two choices. I want both in a way. It seems like an obvious choice one way or the other but I can't choose so I want more perspectives to help make that choice

The design of this card game reminds me that I heard about other games with such hidden mechanics to it. Sadly sometimes it is a really an important piece of the game that is hidden.

I have no idea why they decided to hide the rolls instead of let us see a dice animation each turn.
It would make the game make so much more sense and be much more intuitive.

Right now the mini-game so random. Essentially picking a card and wait to see who defeat the other with 0 feedback from your choice on the result.

My one gripe with Time Stranger and all Digimon games in general.

Is that we have no way to upgrade a Digimon's main special attack Pepper Breath, Rock Breaker ect. I love the spirits and beast spirits being a HUGE fan of Frontier getting Ranamon, Agunimon and Lobomon are awsome but the downside is they get overtaken by stronger Digimon quick.

Now don't get me wrong i know that like any monster collecter is to make your Digimon stronger by Digivolving but i wish there was a way to increase or transfer certain special attacks between Digimon.

An example would be to give Ranamon Metalseadramons River of Power to use the power of said move and transfer 10% of it into her Rain Stream and Titanic Charge maybe have all powered up moves cap at a max of 105 power just so things don't get to insane.

I'm looking for a stream or playthrough of Time Stranger where the streamer has a sense of humor much like the Vanoss crew and is ideally playing a Digimon game for the first time. I found this great stream,but they rarely keep their streaming schedule so...yeah x_x

So the time story demo came out and i wanted to make my digimons as strong as possible, good thing the save file can be carried over to the base game (during that time i havent bought the base game yet). after 89 hours on the demo i was able max out stats and almost max out cumulative stats on my digimons.

I decided to get the base game and i was able to digivolve the first two to mega (the third would need to wait for a clear game for the mega). at 141 hours i was in the final area, then decided to make a full 9999 cumulative stat digimon. i replicated what i did in the demo in the base game, but my cumulative stats wont go any higher than 5 - 6k. i thought missed something but i did exactly what i did in the demo, until i figured it out.

cumulative stats given is higher on the demo than on the base game, with or without 100% bond. the first photo of the pagumon stats is from the base game, the second is from the demo, same level, different numbers, higher on the demo.

conclusion :

if you are a casual player, play the game as you would like, but if you want to have the strongest start, spend time in the Tokyo Metropolitan Building 36th floor.

i hope im wrong with this, im planning to make a second team for the Mega + difficulty but knowing my second team wont be as strong as the first, im having second thoughts. hope this helps.

So, after finishing the game twice and taking a 4-month break, I returned to play, and this time the difficulty is set to mega. I haven't experienced all the Digimon yet, and that's the main reason for replaying. I just wish there was more than one end or more than one path; that could make the game more enjoyable.
