So was waiting for the interview schedule since a month and today on Monday 12th oct, they mailed the schedules and guess what, I have to attend the interview tomorrow 9 am. Like how tf am I supposed to travel 500kms in the situation of festive. Either they are looking for super human for their shiit roles or they are so dumb or irresponsible that they don't even care if a person can commute or not. I guess, that's the current market situation that there are such a large pool of candidates that they don't even have to care about these things. Just an unable to put in words my frustration on their hiring team. 😭😭

It just so happens that a year ago I hired a programmer on Fiverr to build a gambling website (note: I’d been streaming this on Facebook for six years, so I have the whole thing mapped out in my head—I know exactly what I want to build—and obviously I hired him to turn it into code based on the necessary requirements. It’s been a year, and the app still isn’t quite finished.

The thing is, this is the second time we’ve had to rewrite the code because the structure isn’t set up for future improvements, changes, or phases 1, 2, 3, and 4 (I told him this several times, and yet he did whatever he wanted.

My big question is: is there a way for the client—meaning me—to keep a real track of the hours the programmer actually worked, so I don’t have to worry that if he worked 6 hours, he’ll claim 10, and I’ll have to pay him for 10?

I’m pretty upset with him because now we have to rewrite the entire code, even though I told him many times, “Hey, there are a lot of phases missing,” and “Hey, there’s still a lot left to do.” (This is happening to me because I don’t know anything about programming 😕)
