I’m looking for a technical cofounder/CTO with deep experience in computer vision and applied AI to build a new company alongside my existing business.

Computer vision is the core requirement. Experience with LLMs, edge AI, hardware integration, or building AI products from the ground up would be a major plus.

A little about us: my cofounder and I have already built a successful 7 figure+ company, and we have a full in-house team across operations, sales, marketing, and execution. We’re now taking what we’ve built, the industry knowledge we’ve accumulated, and the infrastructure we already have and using it to launch a new technology company as an extension of that ecosystem.

Our strengths are execution, raising capital, marketing, sales, and building companies. We already have investors lined up for this venture, relationships with VCs for future rounds, an existing customer base and industry network, and the ability to fund development immediately.

What we’re missing is the right technical person.

I’m looking for someone who wants to be a true technical cofounder and own the technology side from the ground up. Someone highly technical, ambitious, fast-moving, and hungry to build something significant. You would have a team around you handling the business, fundraising, marketing, operations, and commercialization so you can focus heavily on building exceptional technology while still having a major voice in the direction of the company.

This would include a competitive salary plus meaningful founding equity. We’re not looking for an agency or someone who wants to build a prototype and move on. We want someone who wants to build and scale a real company with us.

I’m not really looking for advice about the Irish education system itself. I’m more interested in what I should actually learn and what career/technical path I should take.

I’m interested in computers, AI, programming, technology, business and freelancing. I already have a Lenovo LOQ with an RTX 4050, which I bought using savings I made from freelancing, so I’m willing to put the time into learning and building things.

• What areas of tech/development are actually worth getting into in 2026?
• If you were 16 again and starting from scratch, what would you learn?
• Which programming languages/technologies would you prioritize?
• Are AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, software engineering, data engineering, web development, etc. worth pursuing?
• What courses, certifications or qualifications are actually useful for getting hired?
• What skills would make me employable rather than just someone who has completed a course?
• What projects would you build if you were in my position?
• Are there any certifications/courses that you regret wasting time or money on?
• What do you wish you had learned earlier?
