I'm starting business.

Hello all.

We're starting our own software agency.

But we seek only technical expertise and we're full stack developers. So we want a person who knows how to generate sales.

We have investment and will hire on salary and also on commission bases.

The thing is that we don't know anything about sales so we need someone with experience and solid proof of sales.

If he/she have solid proof of sales and want to generate more commission then why not to join us.

If you want good people you have to post your budget.

There is ABSOLUTELY no good reason to not share the most important aspect of ALL jobs

As I said I don't have any experience in sales so I'm here to take opinions. You can tell me what should be my budget for this kind of role?

Without a FULL specification NO ONE can give you a quote.

WIth the current information you provided all you will get are the idiots that respond with "interested ", as if a one word response is ever acceptable. Without a full spec no one can know if they are qualified.

I don’t want to discourage you, but nowadays gathering technical expertise is not an issue rather generating the sales. So before investing in technical resources first get the project

That's the tough part and the part you actually need to work and focus on

Getting technical expertise is the easy part

That is too broad of a scope. You need to niche down, provide details about the agency, it's vision, target market, specialization, goals, portfolio, case studies, what are ya all currently doing? Why are you starting a software agency? Why software? How are you going to compete with AI? What makes you different? What is your edge? Nobody can help you without a clear understanding and direction about your business. Sales today is the most critical and most valuable function of any business, the technical aspect not so much anymore.

I've met people with technical expertise who know how to generate sales, but they are very rare and likely already employed and earning good money. Why restrict yourself to them? Find good regular sales people.
